Highland Derbies Next Season
In the premiership hopefully! We're not so far behind the pace now. A top four finish is do-able and then anything can happen.

The Last Post ?
Strange though it seems the last season we spent in the first division was probably about the most enjoyable imho but then we had a new manager who for all his faults had started a fairly successful re-build well before relegation. Despite a shaky start we were on the way up pretty quickly. This time the omens are less encouraging. Whatever else, we're in for interesting times

Scottish and FA Cup Finals
Certainly don't condone any violence if the outraged Rangers account is true but from TV pictures it looked as though the vast majority of Hibs fans were just exuberant much as we were at Ayr Utd or in final game 09/10. Interestingly it was claimed on BBC that Rangers fans were also invading pitch.

Foran
I accept that this kind of appointment can and has worked at both this and other clubs and that any appointment is always a gamble. I just don't think that this is the right gamble to take at this time. I'd rather see him as assistant to someone with a respected managerial CV who can re-instil confidence and attract quality players to the club as this seems to be a major issue right now.

New Manager Thread
McCall- good guy Foran- good guy Butcher- rank Barry V Ferguson- seriously?
-
Foran
Hope this is not true. No disrespect to Ritchie as he has given the club great service but he needs to prove himself with managerial experience in lower leagues and is not what we need right now to steady the ship.

Stuart McCall
Not sure if he'd be interested but would be a great appointment, 'the rangers' connection aside. Modest, articulate and with a high enough profile to attract players in. Qualities somewhat lacking in the recently departed predecessor in my humble opinion.
-
Ian Black
Liked him well enough when he was here but seemed to have a bad attitude at sevco so would not welcome him back.
-
Ian Vigurs
I agree he has some ability but our success of late has been largely due to a great team spirit. I can't see Vigurs adding anything to that. Non-starter.

John Hughes, I owe you an apology ..........
Me too for verily I did doubt the word of John for I had given myself unto Butcher until he did reveal his true nature to me. I was lost but now I am found. Anyone else?

Careful though-their centre forward looks like he can take care of himself.

24th April 2010 Ayr Utd v Inverness CT
My son and I were just discussing which was the better day out -that game or last Sunday's semi or maybe the party that followed that v Dundee at home. Still not sure. Hopefully all will be eclipsed on May 30th!

Compliance Officer / Justice for Meekings
Great news- what a farce it's been though.

Compliance Officer / Justice for Meekings
I agree that there is a strong argument that it wasn't a penalty. Nobody could have guessed that the SFA would act in this outrageous manner but unfortunately with the benefit of hindsight it might have been better if both Josh and John Hughes had said less after the event.

Compliance Officer / Justice for Meekings
Sickening. He has to fight it. What's to lose against missing the game of his career so far. Although the TV evidence looks bad, personally at the time I did not think he deliberately attempted to block the ball with his hand. He is a very honest lad.Anyway If Shifty can get away with what he has then it has to be worth a try for Josh. This has only happened because of the amount of noise Celtic have been able to make, well supported by the Central belt media.

No

venue for Scottish Cup final
I thought our support was terrific at the semi final but let's be honest- are a maximum of maybe 10000 of each set of fans going to create any kind of atmosphere in a 2/3 empty Hampden? Would an alternative venue be better and if so where?

Not sure why so much negativity. Wasn't there but stats looked good and haven't lost ground in battle for Europe place.

ciftci again and again and again
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31934088 Best player in Scotland according to McNamara. Doesn't reflect well on him or his club that he appears to condone the disgraceful conduct of this thuggish cheat.
