  1. Highlights
  2. The draw on Monday is going to be fascinating. 7 of the top 14 teams in SPFL QOS, Hibs, Raith & Falkirk 5 teams below Championship level Home tie against one of the third lot please. Let the rest knock each other out and we'll see what's left in the quarters.
  3. Well let's hope if Fleetwood get a penalty their manager doesn't decide to take it himself.
  4. Cove have plans for a shiny new £3M ground at Kincorth. However if that doesn't happen by August 2015 they will have to ground share as Allan Park will not meet the standards required by the HL. Banks O'Dee must have a better ground than Cove then as they're in the first round already.
  5. Wonder if "Fergie" will get a shot at the first team this season? Seen him quite a few times and he's always done well. Not the tallest but neither is McKay, Dargo or Stewart and they seemed to do okay.

Total agreement from me. Sh1t stirring at its finest. Take it you don't know Dougal and his agenda then?
  7. Graham Alexander was the best penalty taker I've seen. Outside of the foot into the top corner. Unsaveable.

When Fenlon left Hibs they had played 11 games and had 15 points (1.36 points per game) with a goal difference of -2. They were 2 points from 6th place. 27 games later they had gained 20 more points (0.74 points per game) and the goal difference was -20. They were 18 points from 6th place. Extrapolate Butcher's record to a season of 38 games and Hibs would have had 28 points all told. Hope Hibs keep him on just for the entertainment value next season.
  9. You're more likely to come across a Dodo than a Butcherphile these days.
  10. I think it's pretty obvious the "attendance" is not the actual number in attendance which is far lower in some cases. Is that not misleading folk? For example, Sunday's game there were fewer than 100 St J fans in an "attendance" of 3121. The main stand wings were empty so there were over 3000 home fans sitting in about 4300 seats? Nearly 3/4 full? Don't think so. I understand there are commercial reasons for doing this and we are far from being the only club to inflate the attendance figure, but it is getting a bit embarrassing. Maybe just announce it as "tickets sold" or something instead?
  11. When we announce the attendance is it like the Celtic way of taking season ticket sales and adding on pay at the gate or do we count actual clicks through the turnstile?
  12. Each wing of the main stand seats 280 and the whole lower tier including the wings seats 1616. The upper tier (minus the soft seats) seats 651. This gives a total for the main stand of 2267 plus the soft seats so about 2300. The north and south stands are about 2400 each. Add on the west stand and disabled seating takes us to around 7800.
  13. Think the reason they are so far from the pitch is because access is from the front of the stand only. Would that not restrict the viewing from the upper sections of the main stand though? Think that's why a large section of perspex is missing from the sides of the main stand as it is. If any money is to be spent on stadium infrastructure I would prefer it to go on completing the main stand as originally designed. I have a feeling though that the long-term aim is to relocate so doubt any major spending will take place.

You are joking? I'm not "slating a player", just stating my opinion that I think he's not good enough for this level. I base that opinion on having seeing him play for us several times at under 20s and first team level. As for his family reading this, well what difference does that make? Should I say he's the next Gareth Bale in case his mum has logged in? Anyway, what I think counts for zero. If the manager thinks he's good enough then he'll play and that is the bottom line.

I'm not "slagging him off". Just voicing my opinion that he's not good enough. I've seen him a few times for the 20s when he was played out wide. Have you?

I'm not just basing this on today's game. I've seen him play several times for the 20s and the first team and he's just not good enough. Sorry if that seems harsh but my honest opinion is that we'd be better off playing Christie/Polworth/Pepper or signing someone else instead.
  17. Think it's time for Danny to accept that things haven't worked out for him at ICT. Seen him play several times for the 20s & first team and have never been impressed. He's nowhere near good enough for SPFL Premiership in my opinion. Would rather see the likes of Christie, Polworth or Pepper start before him.
  18. Funny you should say that cos I was in ASDA last week and witnessed a guy putting tickets on cars that had parked in the disabled bays without a badge. Had a wee chat with him and he told me that the penalty for doing this is £70. Just an example of how people who manage a business can put in some controls to deal with the idiots.
  19. That's one hell of a clever phone you've got.
  20. Ryan deserves his chance, and I'm not basing this on 5 minutes against Celtic. I don't know how many under 20s games you've seen this season but I've been to quite a few. In a team regularly featuring Williams, Polworth, Pepper, Greenhalgh & Agdestein he often stands out as the class act. Besides, County are shyte. Never get a better opportunity to blood a youngster risk free.
  21. If people would stop feeding the troll then this thread WOULD be about Ryan. Dougal is looking for a reaction...people are queuing up to give him one. If everyone had ignored him he would have gone away. Anyway, I first saw Ryan play about 18 months ago and thought he looked a special talent then. Probably seen him play about 8 times since and he has always impressed me. I think he deserves to start against County playing behind McKay, with Watkins & Doran out wide.
  22. You will always find idiots like that in any walk of life. Frustrating I know. Maybe the most appropriate course of action would be to write to the club detailing the incident and suggesting ways that it could be avoided in future? Opening up a thread on here isn't going to go anywhere as none of the other posters would have witnessed the incident and couldn't comment. However, you probably feel a bit better having let off some steam!
  23. Don't think a venue for the final has been decided yet. Easter Road is getting the Ramsdens Cup final in April, but I imagine the venue for the League Cup final will be announced following the semis.
  24. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that Christie Snr & Jnr were in any way slow, just not lightning quick like Evans is, or say Barry Wilson in his prime. Probably could have chosen my words a bit better!
