  1. Ross Draper has joined Brora.
  2. Diack was sent off in their last league game for two bookings so presumably is suspended for tomorrow. I’m looking forward to this and to us hopefully getting our league season back on track.
  3. Buying more than three hours in advance gets you a cheaper ticket price.
  4. Our home game against Queen of the South on 22 November is now a 1730 kick off and on BBC Alba.
  5. Sole is one of those players who can be delightful or frustrating. His pace and skill means he can take players on and beat them easily, but he can also be a bit greedy and not pass the ball to players in better positions. In a choice between him and Longstaff, I’d always go with Longstaff, but when our line up enables both to play we can cause real damage to teams. It comes down to who we pick as our “front four” given we’ve Bavidge, Wotherspoon, Zimba, Mckay, Longstaff and Sole competing for those places. We also then have MacKinnon, Allan and Alonge who can play in an advanced midfield role too, as well as competing with Chalmers and Stewart for the central midfield positions. Good decisions for Kell to have to make, but key ones as getting the line up right can be key.
  6. After winning the Manager of the Month award for August, he’s completed a double with the September Award too after a 100% win record. Someone else will get a chance in October sadly after Saturday’s result.
  7. It’s quite possible that the current top four will be the top four at the end of the season, although QotS could also get into the mix. A satisfactory first quarter for us, but we need to get back to winning ways and ensure we work hard and get the results we need in every game.
  8. We let ourselves be bullied unfortunately. Hopefully we take it as a wake up call.
  9. A disappointing result and, it sounds, performance. However, before the league season started we’d all have been delighted to get 21 (-5 = 16) points out of our first 27 this season and be right in contention. I’m sure we will have learned a lot from the two defeats which will hopefully stand us in good stead as the season progresses. What’s telling for me is that we’ve now played 17 games in the league, League Cup and Challenge Cup and have not drawn any of them. We want to win and I’m convinced we’ve won games we’d have drawn in the past. If we keep going as we are, I’m sure we can make this a successful season despite the inevitable blip or two along the way.
  10. David Wotherspoon named Star Man in the SPFL Team of the Week.
  11. Were both Zimba and Easton deemed concussion substitutions? If so, reading the above, each team gets 5, plus the concussion sub, plus 1 as the other team had a concussion sub?
  12. Sounds like I missed a great second half. To be top of he league by the end of September beats all our most optimistic hopes. Kell must be in line for Manager of the Month again. Hamilton seem to be emerging as our biggest rivals so let’s put them in their place next Saturday. Well done to all involved!
  13. This was raised at the Fans Meeting in August. The question and answer are copied here (Andrew is Andrew Benjamin, the club’s Commercial Director): Any plans for match commentaries or streaming (outwith the UK) for fans unable to attend games? Andrew advised that they were exploring opportunities for this and checking the legalities surrounding it.
  14. I’m missing tomorrow’s game due to a family birthday but I’ll have the BBC Sport app to hand to stay close to the action and the score. We’ve been much more eager to take shots on in the last two games and I hope that continues tomorrow and we keep our winning run going. If we play as we can, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t get all three points. Enjoy the game all of you who are lucky enough to be able to go!

Clach do not hold the Bronze Level Licence required to be eligible to play in the promotion play off so there would be no play off. There was no play off in 2024 when Buckie won the league as they did not have the correct level of licence. Clach have turned a corner under Gethins though, built on a strong defence that includes Mark Ridgers and Josh Meekings. The last published licence levels are here: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/12796/190325-club-licensing-awards.pdf
  16. It’s also worth noting that Dundee’s goalie made six saves, several of them excellent, which kept the score down.
  17. I’m enjoying the Challenge Cup as it is letting us see players who would otherwise get limited game time, and with a large squad that is valuable. It’s letting Adam MacKinnon and Paul Allan, for example, get minutes in them after injury. It was a routine win and could have been more but for several good saves by the Dundee goalie. MacKinnon ran the show, especially in the second half. Alonge scored a goal of the season contender. Robertson again looked the part. Kerr and Sam Thompson did not look out of place after they came on. Yes I’d rather see Highland League teams involved rather than B teams, but I cannot see the format changing. However, win promotion and we go straight in at the last 32 stage and that has to be our aim. So to sum up, a useful competition given the size of our squad, getting minutes into players and showing the competition we have for places in the league starting line up. And it’s nice to see us top of the table!
  18. Exactly how I felt.
  19. Well done to all involved today, on and off the pitch. That’s a big result. As well as the BBC not knowing what was going on, Sky persist in showing us as the league leaders! Maybe we will be soon.
  20. Five now, Chalmers and MacIntyre too.
  21. We are top again, at least for now, as Peterhead have equalised. I’m nervous as we look to have been well on top but only have one goal to show for that, whilst both Savage and Devine have been booked. The next goal is vital and we need to get it.
  22. I think tactics and injury niggles have come into play with the team selection. Bavidge hasn’t really got going yet and I know after he came back they were trying to work him up to full fitness. Maybe that’s taking longer than had been hoped. I’m pleased to see Longstaff starting as he’s been unlucky to just be on the bench recently. He gives us more natural wing play than Bavidge playing out of position. Big day for Zimba getting a start in the league.
  23. Potentially one of our bigger tests today. They’ve had mixed results but have a good record against us down there. However, if we can play as we can and look to shot on sight rather than passing the ball into the net, there’s no reason why we cannot win the three points. That said, a draw would not be a bad result.
  24. 13 months.
  25. Must admit I thought from last week’s Press Conference that this had already happened but confirmation that the club now controls the car parks: ICTFCClub Statement - ICTFCInverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club is delighted to confirm that the Club has today secured full control over 8 acres of the surrounding car park. Chairman Alan Savage would like to extend his
