  1. Good to see they are retaining the reduced price that applied last season. Even in level 1, assuming things don’t go backwards and we end up with more restrictions again, that makes it a good deal in my book, and the comments about the livestream and new commentary team are hopefully a sign that the stream will be much better.
  2. If he can be as effective as he became in his first spell, he will be an asset. It took him a while to start scoring first time round, and he didn’t get that many when he rejoined us in our relegation season (although I recall a cracker against Rangers if my memory is correct), so as others have said I hope he hits the ground running.
  3. Despite some justified criticism of our club in this thread, at least we are not as bad as this: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/ross-county/3182494/axed-iain-vigurs-hits-out-at-manner-of-shock-cull-from-ross-county-saying-players-deserved-more-respect/amp/

The Clach game looks to be at 1930. Ticketing information still to be released. https://clachfc.co.uk/news_article.php?id=22 Tickets are on sale for the Brora game which is also 1930: https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Dashboard
  6. With Aaron Doran and Cammy Mackay reporting for training, that implies they are likely to sign new deals. Maybe they already have but no one told us??? Really disappointing that Toddy has chosen to move on. The others are not a great surprise and we can now focus on plugging the gaps in the squad. As a regular poster on here states, we need to find a number 9, even if the player does not wear that number (given McDonald has that squad number…).

League fixtures released. We start away to Arbroath and our first home game is against Raith: https://ictfc.com/cinch-championship-fixtures-2021-22
  8. Based on this article, we did speak to him about rejoining us; https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/2305762/former-dundee-captain-josh-meekings-says-its-the-right-time-to-go-part-time-with-brora-rangers/amp/
  9. Communication is two way. Surely the player, or his agent, would be trying to pin the club down to know if an offer is likely, whilst the club should advise those they are not planning to have talks with that they should look elsewhere. I wonder if we are speaking to any of our other contract players about new deals. As season tickets are about to be on sale, it is only reasonable that we fans gave some indication as to what the club’s plans are.

What’s wrong with bus seats?? Personally I’d have retained the pink theme given we seemed to perform better in it. Looks like Carson has had a haircut.

It was a brilliant finish but a freak sequence of events and from the outset self inflicted.

There was not much between the teams but they scored and we didn’t. We were sloppy with the ball too often, but created a number of decent chances. We hit the bar and their ‘keeper had some decent saves, but the result is all that matters in tournaments. The first goal was a good finish but we should have been quicker to challenge and stop the cross. The second was a bit of a freak but self inflicted as our shot rebounding created the issue. After that, we’d plenty possession but never looked like turning it round. On to Wembley where we need to avoid defeat or our last game will be meaningless. Typical Scotland!

After a pretty decent first 40 minutes, our tournament jinx looks like it’s kicked in again. What a finish for that second goal though, but typical Scotland unfortunately.
  14. He’s been hooked at half time.
  15. We have appointed a Head of Physical Performance: https://ictfc.com/ross-hughes-appointed-head-of-physical-performance Is it a new role or is he replacing someone? Presumably his task is to improve fitness levels in a way that minimises the risk of injuries?

That’s a relief as it looked really bad on the pitch. All the players were trying to give the medics privacy by blocking the view of the cameras and crowd. I’m amazed they want to restart the game as they cannot be in the right place mentally. It will either be a tremendous remaining 50 minutes or they will play out a 0-0 draw. Either way, thank goodness Eriksen is awake and speaking. The Denmark captain was immense. As the players surrounded Eriksen, he was the one facing him and he was then looking after the player’s wife. What a leader, taking the responsibility. According to the BBC, he was the first player on the scene and cleared Eriksen’s airway as the medical staff rushed to the scene. He quite possibly saved his life.

I was watching the Denmark - Finland game when Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch. All the players were clearly distressed and the medical staff were trying to resuscitate him on the pitch. I hope he pulls through but it is the most traumatic thing I have witnessed whilst watching a game, and it really puts things in context. There is much more to life than football.

I’m looking forward to Monday’s game, hoping for the best but fearing the worst! The build up has been a bit muted with the pandemic, but there is some worrying optimism about how we will do, and some confidence we will get to the latter stages. As four third placed teams qualify, that may well be possible and the key for us could be beating the Czech Republic on Monday. Three points may turn out to be enough to squeeze into one of the best third placed finishes, although it is more likely four points will be the threshold. It would be great to see the Highland members of the squad do well and get us to the next stage.
  19. Any more info on this?
  20. I hope I’m not in the minority, but I will be renewing mine when the opportunity arises, even if I cannot attend all the games and need to watch some livestreams. With 1000 allowed in, assuming we stay in Level 1 and 2000 if we get to Level 0, with 1500 or so season tickets, that means at worst getting to two games out of three, potentially all games. I’ve missed being at live games so can’t wait. I was lucky to be at the Dundee game in December, and you could see how much the players enjoyed having only 300 fans there.
  21. Five of our youngsters have been given professional contracts. Hopefully they include some future Christies or Mackays: https://ictfc.com/five-academy-graduates-sign-professional-contracts
  22. Details of season tickets should be available soon: https://ictfc.com/season-tickets-2021-22-update
  23. It will be a battle of the out of control hair with Carson and Walsh in the same team.
  24. I wonder if this means Doran is not staying?
  25. Really happy with this. As well as pace, he’s got goals in him. A bit wayward with crosses sometimes but that can be worked on. He is also useful in the number 10 role as well as out wide, where he can be effective on both wings. As others have said, hopefully he is able to stay fit and be a great contributor this season.
