  1. We’ve just had the closest effort. Shot after a corner blocked on the line.
  2. Dunfermline on top in the early stages. We are struggling to clear our lines but have broken out a couple of times.
  3. In our home kit today. Dunfermline have 22 points out of 27 at home so this will be a tough afternoon I fear.
  4. Unchanged team again, but Keatings injury keeping him from being on the bench.
  5. I just hope that fans of both clubs stay at home on Sunday. Surely after recent events, and what seems to be a resulting increase in cases, the game should have been called off and a draw awarded. I anticipate us seeing news coverage on Sunday of fans of both clubs at Celtic Park and Ibrox respectively, and in the centre of Glasgow, with the resulting likelihood of violence.
  6. Not watching it but I see Dundee are now 2 up. It is very unlikely Alloa will catch us. I’m more keen to see Arbroath not getting too many points, and we have them up here next weekend. If we can get a result tomorrow, we can be optimistic. Even if we don’t win, with the inconsistency of all the teams, we can still make progress. I’m in the optimistic category!
  7. HT 0-1 FT 1-2 ICT Todorov Dunfermline Wighton
  8. Last night’s “leak”, the publication of the Committee Report at 0800 on Tuesday and with the report expected from James Hamilton QC next week too regarding whether the FM broke the Ministerial Code, the next week or so is going to be interesting.
  9. I was only voicing my opinion on it, not implying anything about any opinion of it you have.
  10. That’s fair enough. It will not interfere with the preparations for Tuesday’s game as the players will be on a day off.
  11. Decent highlights package, but didn’t really demonstrate just how much on top we were in the first half, although it makes the second seem more even than I recall! Credit Ridgers for the goal. He clearly saw Mackay would be one on one with the defender and wasted no time getting it upfield, and Mackay duly obliged with the cool finish.
  12. A rare goal for Andy Shinnie tonight for Charlton.
  13. I think we deserved the win. We were well on top for most of the first half, both before and after the red card. We were unlucky not to be ahead from Devine’s header and Mackay’s shot. Raith started the second half strongly and our goal was against the run of play, but we deserved it. Good finish by Mackay after Raith messed up dealing with a long kick out by Ridgers. We then had to defend in the main and came under a fair deal of pressure, but between Ridgers and poor finishing we came through unscathed and had a few chances on the break. Deas was the top player for me, particularly in the first half, whilst Welsh bossed the midfield in the first half. We cannot question the effort or commitment of any of them. Carson neutralised Kennedy again whilst Devine handled Ugwu well. I hope Welsh and Keatings are ok after the knocks they took. We now need to build on this. We looked confident in the first half and need to repeat that at Dunfermline on Saturday. If we can, maybe we can look up the table again rather than looking down it!
  14. I wish every game was against Raith! Good first half, poor second half as we let Raith back in it, but the win is all that counts at this stage of the season. Incredible we are within three points of two play offs!
  15. McHattie on for Keatings after he took a knock. As things stand, we are three points off the play offs: at both ends of the table! How crazy is this league!
  16. Keatings on for Welsh! Welsh picked up a heavy knock a few minutes ago. The way this is going, we will do well if we see out the last 12 minutes or so!
  17. This game’s not won. Raith having too much of the play and looking dangerous at times.
  18. Raith taking Kennedy off. Not seen much of him again tonight. Credit Carson again.
  19. Ayr 2 up at Dundee. We need to concentrate here and build up the first 50 minutes which have been pretty good. Suddenly Raith no longer time wasting!
  20. Goal: 1 up. Great cool finish after Raith messed up dealing with long kick out by Ridgers.
  21. We’ve hardly touched the ball in this half so far. Raith have come out flying.
  22. Pretty confident performance. Mainly on top, even before the red card, but few clear chances created. Welsh is pulling the strings in midfield, which is good to see. Deas has been the pick for me, supporting Mackay down the left. A few moments from MacGregor and Toddy. Allardice and Sutherland have been quieter. Defence not really challenged. We need to continue this level of performance in the second half and hopefully get in front and win.
