  1. I missed today’s livestream, the only one I’ve missed apart from the Hearts away game and the home game with Dundee as I was in the crowd that day. I was driving from just before full time until Sportsound finished at 1800, and am disgusted with the BBC coverage. All we got was a few seconds of headlines around the news at 1700, then an interview with Neil McCann was broadcast at 1750 (he came across well and praised the guys for getting the win whilst dead on their feet after nine games in March), but absolutely no report on the game and no reference to us being fourth (at that time) after the good run. In fact, they gave the impression we were sixth as they listed us last of the teams on 30 points. And why? They spent nearly an hour talking about Hearts and how they should sack their Manager. Well seeing there were no games in the top flight: it would hardly have rated a mention normally. They said they would have build up to tomorrow’s Scotland game, but that got two minutes at the very end. Anyway, rant over, and credit the guys for grinding out a vital win. Whilst not mathematically safe, it would take a collapse and remarkable run of results to get us down to 9th, whilst we have a fighting chance of the top four. It won’t be easy, but we have momentum for probably the first time this season. If we can get a result in Greenock, then what seemed unlikely just a few weeks ago may become possible. Thanks for the comments on the match. It sounds that it was a pretty poor game but, as others have said, results are more important than performances. Earlier in the season we were drawing or losing when we should have won, so it is good we are now able to win. Four clean sheets in the league is a great achievement. The signing of Scott Allan is hopefully a sign that the Board have ambitions to see the club progress. Well done to one and all involved!
  2. I may have misheard it, but I thought Salmond pronounced it wrong too in his broadcast.
  3. HT 1-0 FT 3-1 ICT Todorov Arbroath Hamilton
  4. Sounds like they hope a lot of SNP voters will vote for them in the list vote. Could be interesting at the first FMQs after the election with Salmond asking questions of Sturgeon!
  5. It sounds like Dan Mackay may miss out tomorrow: https://ictfc.com/match-preview-arbroath-h If so, presumably Storey will start. Hopefully we maintain our recent momentum in the league and get the win that will take us into the top four, at least until the evening game between Dundee and Dunfermline.
  6. Not a great surprise given the issues he has had with injuries in all his time here. When he did play last season he looked a decent defender, so hopefully he finds a club somewhere. However, it is another example of the challenges some players are facing being away from their families during the pandemic. Looking forward, given our current managerial position, I wonder who will be scouting for replacements for those we will inevitably lose in the summer. Does anyone have a list of known contract expiry dates?
  7. Apparently Alec Salmond is to take court action against her. Will learn more on the news shortly. Having listened to the news, the action is against the Scottish Government, taking the two reports into account. He is also complaining to the Police about the original leak. He accepts both reports and says it is “time to move on”.
  8. Another upset has seen Formartine beat Annan on penalties. A lot of credit to the Highland League tonight, particularly after the long lay off.
  9. Saw an interview with the independent (ex Green) MSP who was clear that Sturgeon did not knowingly mislead Parliament and as a result it was not a resignation issue. I think the Tories have shot themselves in the foot with the leak and their recent actions, which will only strengthen the likelihood of the SNP winning an outright majority at the election, with all that entails. Labour have been able to take the moral high ground as a result by awaiting the report before speaking out and abstaining today in the no confidence vote. The election will be interesting and the outcome may well hang on whether Labour are able to come across credibly and win back some of the voters they have lost to the SNP.
  10. We got through and that’s all that matters. Fyffe and Nicolson got game time and looked ok to me. Scoring in the first minute should have made it a formality but Buckie competed well and it was a good work out. Maybe we under rated them: if so, we nearly paid the penalty. We need to focus on Saturday and getting three points. On a light note, I grew to liking the partisan commentator. And I wish Gringo well getting reliable corner and foul statistics. The BBC text is no guide on those, or on what happened for the first half goals! Now we just need the BBC to pick the County game for tv.
  11. Joe Chalmers scored for Ayr at Elgin tonight.
  12. Credit Buckie but we did what we had to and now have County to look forward to.
  13. Can’t argue with that: 2-2. Buckie have matched us and haven’t tired. Extra time looming?
  14. MacGregor booked. The commentator is so biased I’m finding him highly amusing!
  15. Looks like we’ve gone 4 4 2 with. Keatings up with Storey and MacGregor and Mackay wide midfield.
  16. They have, which is spooky as they had that for the Keatings one once their text became live and long before Welsh scored!
