  1. The BBC has Graeme Shinnie with the assists for the Derby goals rather than being the scorer.
  2. The club’s report is now available: https://ictfc.com/match-report-dunfermline-ath-0-0-ictfc
  3. Thanks for sharing and a fascinating story. I like the photo of “rural Telford Street”.
  4. Recovering in Dunfermline, and note Lewis Hyde scored on his debut for Rothes in the cup. Also a hat trick for Nathan Austin for Kelty and one for Rory McAllister for Cove. I was at yesterday’s game with local former colleagues, one of whom has changed allegiances to Kelty. He described Austin as light weight and he struggles against the better defenders but does tend to hit the target. Not a goal, but I see Daniel Hoban was sent off for violent conduct late in Elgin’s defeat to Annan.
  5. A point gained rather than two lost. I thought we shaded the first half, but Dunfermline definitely were the better team after the break, with Ridgers keeping them out although we had one shot that grazed the post. Had we got ahead before the break we would have gone on to win, but we were hanging on in the last 15 minutes or so. I didn’t see any fans walk out. Whilst our support was vocal in the first half they were quite muted when we were holding on towards the end. Dunfermline are better than their league position and I’m happy with the point the way things turned out. I hope Sutherland and Doran are ok. I’d like to see how Sutherland and Mckay do together as I suspect it may be our best combination. Our defence is solid, with only one goal conceded in six games, but we need to be more potent up front, with only seven scored in those six games despite our ability to pass the ball. After full time, Toddy went to greet most of our players, and it looked like they all had good relationships with him, which was nice to see. Kennedy was quiet in the first half, but Dunfermline tried to play everything through him after the break and Carson had his hands full and was lucky to escape the wrath of the referee at one point when he wiped him out. Overall though I thought he dealt with him quite well. We have beaten the other five teams currently in the top six, whilst our next three are against the teams in seventh to ninth so hopefully we can get back to winning ways. As I say, I see today as a point gained.
  6. Lewis Hyde off on loan to Rothes: https://ictfc.com/lewis-hyde-joins-rothes-on-loan-2
  7. I’d guess it is designed to allow the coaches to run through issues during games with players afterwards and focus on where improvements can be made, but I’ve no idea if that is right or where Serimax fit in. https://ictfc.com/ict-and-serimax-partner-up-to-bolster-video-analysis-at-caledonian-stadium

  10. John Robertson has a book coming out. The article doesn’t mention ICT and indicates that the book covers up until the end of his playing career so it doesn’t sound like his two periods with us will feature. I am sure it will be a good read despite that. Details here: https://ictfc.com/john-robertsons-book-available-for-pre-order
  11. A rare goal for Joe Chalmers for Ayr against Rangers kids tonight. Scott Boden scored for Borehamwood.
  12. The only thing I can think of is whether it was Norrie McCathie’s number.
  13. Can we make it 6 out if 6? It will be tough but hopefully we can repeat the last 45 minutes against Partick and get the three points. Ticket and PPV information out nice and early this week: https://ictfc.com/ticket-information-dunfermline-ath-a-18-09-2021
  14. Club’s report and a chance to see our three good goals again: https://ictfc.com/match-report-ictfc-3-1-partick-thistle
  15. I’ve not had a chance to look closely at results but those I know of are Toddy for Dunfermline, Rory McAllister for Cove and Shane Harkness for Rothes.
  16. I was in a meeting in Aberdeen and unaware for some time, but could not believe what had happened and the sheer devastation and loss of life. It certainly showed the vulnerability of the civilised world and how we can take nothing for granted. With recent events in Afghanistan, the risk of similar atrocities in the future remains, sadly.
  17. Already enjoying some tipple! Glad you had a great return! I agree with your almost all of your summary. I thought the Partick goal stemmed from Carson being caught upfield which meant Broadfoot had to go out to cover, leaving us exposed. But who cares, we bossed the second half and got the points. Encouragingly, we have beaten the three teams currently in the play off places. I’m going to the Dunfermline game with Dunfermline fans and having a few drinks before and after. I really hope we can make it six out of six!
  18. Also great to hear the support of our fans in the second half: most vocal for sometime. And we silenced the Partick fans!!
  19. That was a real game of two halves. Partick outclassed us in the first, with Tiffoney a real handful and Graham causing bother (did anyone see what he did to Carson in the second half? Carson was hurt and insensed whilst Graham was promptly hooked). We were lucky only to be one down at the break. What a transformation in the second half. We came out clearly meaning business and Broadfoot got us level with a clever shot from outside the box. Sutherland then got the reward for all his hard work by pressuring the ‘keeper into a mistake and calmly scoring from a tight angle. Doran took the third well after good play by Carson. I didn’t see that coming at half time, but the second half was probably our best 45 for some time. We had few issues from Partick and were winning all the second balls. Ridgers kept us in it with a save before half time. Carson did not have his best game (he was caught out of position for their goal and had some slack passes in the first half) but kept going. Broadfoot and Devine are turning into a good partnership. Deas did well, particularly at handling Graham at all their throw ins in the first half. MacGregor and Allardice had good games. Walsh was quite quiet, whilst Doran had a good game. Duku worked very hard and didn’t give the Partick defence any time. The pick for me was Sutherland. His work rate is immense and he seldom loses possession softly, and he deserved his goal for his hard work. At times he was the player assisting Carson against Tiffoney. A really great result, a very enjoyable second half, and great to keep our 100% record. Well done to Dodds, the back room team and all the players.
  20. The bus from the Bus Station ran at 1415 as normal.

    Curses.....

Well deserved given we are the only team to have maximum points in any of the four leagues after four games.

  24. I am really looking forward to Saturday’s game. Partick will be no pushovers, have had a good start to the season, and have been a team we have often struggled against. Hopefully we get a good crowd to will the players on to another three points (another 1-0 perhaps?) but for those not able to be there, livestream and PPV details are here: https://ictfc.com/ictv-info-partick-thistle-h
  25. Great result tonight and a really big game against Israel next. If we can win it, we will amazingly be in pole position to finish second in the group and get into the play offs, with away games against the Faroes and Moldova ahead of our last game at home to Denmark.
