  1. I doubt we will see McHattie, Carson or Doran start given they’ve not had any game time. I’d go with: Ridgers Duffy Devine Deas Harper Welsh Allardice Sutherland Keatings Mackay Storey Subs: MacKay Mckay Toshney Kennedy Todorov MacGregor Fyffe
  2. 1. Sutherland 2. Harper 3. Keatings 4. My heart says first, my head says third
  3. I’d imagine we will have a lot of rotation this season with a likelihood players will be missing at times due to Covid. As a result, Mackay and MacGregor should still get plenty game time. We were short of wide options with Walsh leaving and question marks over Doran’s fitness so this gets us more or less back to the size of first team squad we had last season. An encouraging positive comment from Tommy Wright about Duffy too, so hopefully any concerns some have about him may be allayed. Looks like he is number 2 also.
  4. In fairness, we don’t know that yet. Our first home game is not until next Tuesday and something may be in place for then. As a season ticket holder, I’m happy to pay per match for cup games but hopefully we do get free access to home league games, with the opportunity to make a donation if we are able to.
  5. And another one today in their defeat at Ibrox.
  6. We don’t know the story so if we do sign him we should give him every chance. Others have come here with a bad name, eg Donaldson wasn’t wanted by many on here due to not being popular with United fans, but he proved himself. Who knows, Duffy could do the same.
  7. Match report and goals from yesterday’s game. Sounds like Toshney was subbed as a precaution so hopefully nothing serious. https://ictfc.com/match-report-ictfc-1-1-elgin-city-03-10-2020
  8. Report and goals from the Clach game: https://ictfc.com/match-report-clach-0-2-ictfc-02-10-2020
  9. It’s hard to tell yet, but if everyone is fit and we make no more signings, I would try: Ridgers Mckay Devine Deas Harper Welsh Carson Doran Keatings Mackay Storey
  10. Back on level terms: GOAL! Nikolay Todorov levels the game! Keatings corner breaks to Todorov in the box and he pokes the ball into the back of the net from close range.
  11. Judging by the twitter feed, Elgin have made at least as many chances as we have. Surherland on for Harper at the break. A change of formation to 3 at the back? Or Toddy centre half and Deas to left back? 52 minutes: Elgin 1 up through Hester. Hopefully that wakens us up!
  12. And Toddy up front with Storey playing wide?
  13. A goal and an assist for Marley Watkins as Aberdeen came from behind to beat St Mirren 2-1.
  14. All the outfield subs used. Still 2-0 with around 10 to play. From the limited coverage, sounds like Daniel Mackay is man of the match (albeit he is off now). Full time 2-0. Hopefully a good run out for the youngsters and game time for Mckay. Wonder if he will be right back against Hearts on Tuesday?

That’s what I thought, and our rule of six makes more sense than the one down south too.
  16. Suddenly two quick goals so 2-0 just before half time: Robbie Thomson and Daniel Mackay. Mackay crossed for the first and won the penalty that he scored for the second. 49 minutes: Harry Nicolson sees his free kick from about 25 yards tipped wide 65 minutes: Good ball from Brad Mckay finds Daniel MacKay in the middle. He does well to get a shot away but his effort was wide.
  17. Posted on twitter after 36 minutes: Tight game so far with the only real chance being Lewis Nicolson’s free-kick which was tipped over after 15 minutes. Daniel MacKay just had a header held by the Clach keeper after meeting Lewis Nicolson’s cross. 37 minutes: Shane Harkness forces a save from the Clach keeper has he drills a shot from a tight angle 41 minutes: Chances starting to come now! Another great cross from Lewis Nicolson is just missed by Hennem and falls to Daniel MacKay in middle but his low effort is wide.

Is that in England or up here?

Sorry, posted in wrong post but thanks to tm4j for detailing the team in the right post.

Very young team tonight, assuming the link works. Brad Mckay playing with only players with much first team experience being Cammy MacKay and Daniel Mackay. Only experienced player on bench is Mark Ridgers. https://mobile.twitter.com/ICTFC/status/1312098064098713601?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^embeddedtimeline|twterm^profile%3AICTFC|twcon^timelinechrome&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcaleythistleonline.com%2Ftopic%2F33786-inverness-ct-v-qos-matchnight-thread%2F
  21. For once I agree with Alan. Whilst I know Robbo is treating the Hearts and Cowdenbeath cup games as preseason games, the Hearts game will be a major test of how our team is shaping up, particularly if we are without some of the more experienced players. We often start slowly and have not got out of the group stages of the cup for some time, but equally we have not tended to score as often in preseason as we have this week. All we know is that it is too early to tell how our season will shape up. This report is on the club website: https://ictfc.com/match-report-nairn-county-0-7-ictfc-29-09-2020
  22. Hard to given we only got brief highlights from Saturday and the camera angle last night. From what I’ve seen, I’d start with Devine and Deas, with Toshney as back up. We still have Mckay and McHattie to return but it would be good to develop a first choice pairing quickly. Any word on Mckay, McHattie, Carson, Vincent or Doran? It would be good if Carson and Doran, at least, could get game time before the competitive stuff starts.
  23. Not really a contest as the early goals killed it. Good to see Welsh back playing. With 8 substitutions, it broke things up a bit, and the camera angle didn’t help in terms of forming views of players at times (but all credit to Nairn for streaming it), but players that stood out for me were Devine, who seemed the mainstay at the back and may well be a first pick, Mackay playing mainly on the left, and Storey, particularly first half. The players looked hungry, particularly in the first half, so hopefully an encouraging sign.
