  1. Resurrecting an old topic but another vote of thanks is overdue and well deserved.
  2. Cheers Gringo, I really enjoyed the light hearted “battle”. You had most points at the premature end so are the deserved Champion We are all grateful to you for the effort you put into this. Ironically with the stick he gets from some on here, I think big Jordan White was my big point scorer! Whatever league we are in and whenever football starts again, I hope you will keep this going. Thanks again and stay safe and take care all!
  3. Spent last night watching the 2015 cup final in full on You Tube. First time I have watched it in full since enjoying a great afternoon (and long evening) in Glasgow. I’d forgotten how much of the ball Falkirk had in the second half as they tried to get back in it. It also made me realise how we miss some of the players we had just 5 years ago. Players like Shinnie, Meekings, Tansey and Watkins, not to mention Christie. It also highlighted the pace Doran has lost with his injuries. Even knowing the ending, I cheered both goals, felt Tremarco’s pain and went ballistic at full time.
  4. Partick beat us home and away.....
  5. You could well be right. It would give us a better chance of staying up too if it happens. What would happen to the split as there would be 30 games in two rounds. Would the top 8 and bottom 8 only then play each other once after a split? That would leave 26 teams. Promote Brora and Kelty and have a 16 14 14 set up? After the last week, anything could happen!
  6. CTO for me!
  7. Glad you are on the mend. Hope you are fully fit soon.
  8. It’s on Sky115 in Scotland. Not sure if it is the same down south.
  9. A 30 minute programme about that famous night in 2000 is on BBC Scotland at 2000 on Friday. Should be well worth watching!
  10. I should do. It’s been my working life for 35 years! Goodness knows why a Northern bus was on a Highland town (at that time) service though!
  11. On the club website, all players and the vast majority of the club’s staff are furloughed. The club is paying the the additional 20% to make up all wages to the normal level. A sensible move which will hopefully help minimise outgoings and get the club through this. They also hope to make an announcement about season tickets in the next 10 days or so.
  12. Don’t know what happened there! My grandson at only his second home game. First time he watched the game as opposed to playing with his seat. He wanted a burger at half time and was shocked it was not a kiddie’s one from McDonalds and took 20 minutes to eat it. And we won!
  13. In ICT colours an AEC Reliance on the Highland fleet. No idea where though.
  14. Don’t know where is it taken but that’s a Leyland Titan from the Alexander Northern fleet.
  15. The news tonight said no European places unless the season is completed. Sounded like an ultimatum. With all the uncertainty, goodness knows how the SFA/SPFL can respond to that. Whilst it may not suit us, surely all leagues should be voided and we start again next season. That way players contracts can expire and they can find new clubs and clubs can sign players. The season may need to have a delayed start but so be it Anything else will be a total mess. Life comes before football at these times.
  16. Wow, I was away from the area then so really enjoyed that. Class finishing!
  17. Do we know how they have dealt with promotion and relegation? They only had one league game left, but do they not normally split for play offs?
  18. Culloden House?
  19. That’s good news too.
  20. Strange, that was what mine looked like when I turned the page this morning! Lol!!
  21. Thanks guys, he seems past the worst of it so fingers crossed! It brings it all home though when you know someone affected in a serious way. Stay safe all!
  22. I can’t work out how to copy a post I’ve made on the serious discussion thread but today my best man is in isolation in Raigmore waiting for his test results. It just brings it home how close to all of us this virus is. Take care all and follow the advice. Don’t be complacent.
  23. Don’t know how to copy the post but I’ve given my thoughts on the serious discussion thread. My best man from my wedding 24 years ago is in isolation in Raigmore waiting for his test results. He has underlying health conditions. Makes you realise how close to home this is.
  24. That’s great to hear. The country at its best. Worrying times but we will come through it, hopefully better for it as a society, and our economy will recover in time. I feel for those losing jobs but credit the government (never thought I would say that about Westminster or Holyrood) for putting the furlough scheme in place so hopefully most people keep an income. My best man from my wedding 24 years ago is in isolation in Raigmore waiting for test results. He has underlying health issues. It really brought it home to me how close to home this is Football is secondary at this time, but I hope our squad is being looked after and our club survives this troubling time. I can’t imagine life without Caley Thistle and I’m sure we will survive. Personally I don’t care what the powers that be do with the season now. Life is more important. If it gets voided and we start again next year in the Championship with whatever squad we can afford, so be it. A few weeks ago, I had hoped to be drinking beer celebrating a cup win tonight and looking forward to that play offs. That seems a lifetime ago and very selfish and insignificant hopes and thoughts now. Take care all, don’t be complacent, follow the advice, and I hope to see you at the ground at some time in the future.
