  1. I meant as a present on Father’s Day and to keep as pride of place!
  2. Wonder how big the Oor Willie statue is? Only 25 so could be a collectors item in years to come. Referred to in the link above but more detail here: https://ictfc.com/limited-edition-fathers-day-ideas The whisky could go down well too!
  3. If a 27 game season is planned for the Championship, that means 2 home games against some teams but just 1 against others. We could get Hearts and Dundee at home just once, which would be a disadvantage. Surely it would be fairer to split after 18 games into 2 mini leagues, top 5 and bottom 5 so a 26 game league with the same balance of home and away games. Downside is that it would mean 6 games against 1 or 2 teams if we make the play offs but that is how it is in a normal season anyway. Just a thought to make things fairer, if that word is in the Scottish football dictionary.
  4. Tansey did pretty well second time round too.
  5. Maybe one of the inter island ferry harbours? Not been to any though so over to the transport man!
  6. That implies Orkney? Doesn't look like St Margaret’s Hope. Possibly Burwick? Only been there once but that was recently.
  7. I can’t argue with any of that. A heartfelt summation of their position and the need for clubs to collectively do the right thing. It should be 14 10 10 10 but will the clubs be big enough to vote for justice? Only time will tell, but I’m not optimistic.
  8. I spent 8 years down south sitting in queues on the M5 and M6. We lived in Lancashire but my job took me well south. It could take 8 hours on a Friday to travel 200 miles on motorways.
  9. But surely quite common journey lengths in leagues in larger countries. Plymouth to Carlisle in English League 2 springs to mind. 389 miles according to google.
  10. I thought he did ok for us when he got a chance, which wasn’t that often. With Walsh away he could be a decent replacement with regular game time. Is he out of contract at Middlesbrough?
  11. It’s a meaningless vote as the politicians will determine what can happen when. Even if it happens. it may not go as planned if we get local lockdowns or, worse, another peak. On reconstruction, we are at risk of going round in circles again. 14 10 10 10 is the fair and equitable outcome, so maybe common sense will prevail this time. The fact that we will benefit is an unintended consequence of teams doing the right thing.
  12. Now available for pre order: https://ictfc.com/2020-21-home-kit-available-for-pre-order-tomorrow https://shop.ictfc.com/
  13. Was there not meant to be a showpiece friendly?
  14. It would be good to get an indication of how the club’s finances are given the pandemic and the risks we face if the season is delayed until Christmas or longer. What plans have they to get us through this and what is the prospect of new faces for key positions.
  15. Certainly is, and also let’s us bleed young players in the Highland League by having a team there potentially. Goodness knows if it will gain traction though.
  16. Excellent strip. My only recent one was the 25th year one, as a memento, but I will buy this to contribute to the cause.
  17. And the winners: https://ictfc.com/player-of-the-season-award-winners-2019-20 Fans player of the year: Rooney Players player of the year: Ridgers Fans young player of the year: MacGregor Players young player of the year: MacGregor Can’t argue with that. Well done to all three.
  18. A better position than I expected. I was anticipating no players out of contract being offered new contracts so retaining 4 is a pleasant surprise, especially Doran. Of those leaving, we knew about Rooney and White whilst sadly news about Tremarco came out a few weeks ago. Trafford and Walsh probably no great surprise. I thought Machado had already gone. Its a shame for the youngsters but if we get a start date and some certainty for next season, maybe some will get signed up. At least we have more than 11 players signed up for next season. Not claiming this to be a full list but off the top of my head: Ridgers, Mackay Mckay, Toshney, McHattie, Harper Welsh, Carson, Vincent Storey, Doran, Keatings, MacGregor. Mackay, Todorov, Sutherland I hope some of the other youngsters not leaving are defenders.
  19. Just noticed, snorbens post was the 999th reply so this is the 1000th. Findhorn by any chance?
  20. My only regret about the weekend was needing to stay in Glasgow until well into the afternoon to be safe to drive, so missed the parade and the party at the Northern Meeting Park.
  21. It seems a lifetime ago, but tonight 5 years ago was the eve of our most prominent trophy win. I was in a Premier Inn in Glasgow with my wife, her sister and her sister’s husband. The ladies were not looking forward to their first ever football match. I have a clearer memory of the Friday night than the Saturday night I must admit. The ladies really enjoyed their day at Hampden, even if we had to explain everything to them. They missed Carl’s sending off and wondered why Falkirk had more players...... We were near the front so in the sun all game, much like tomorrow’s weather is meant to be. After the game, Wetherspoons set us up for a meal in a great Greek restaurant in George Square, before another Wetherspoons and a late night in the Premier Inn with some other ICT fans. Great memories!!
  22. You should have studied Gaelic at school....
  23. And if they are as good and committed as Carson, that’s fine by me.
  24. Sorry, the pandemic is more serious than political squabbles and point scoring. Was Cummings wrong to do what he did? Yes. Is Boris a bit of a buffoon? Yes. Is Nicola calling everything right? No. Just be glad we don’t have Trump telling us to drink bleach!! They are doing what they think is right and, whether we individually voted for them or not, they got elected and it is their job to guide us through this. None of us would want their jobs: they are on a hiding to nothing. I just hope the sorry saga of the last few days does not cost lives as people stop following the guidance and become complacent.
