  1. I’ve heard it is David Cameron of Upland Developments who is assisting the club financially at present.
  2. Garry Wood left (walked out of?) Inverurie a couple of weeks ago and is now at Banks O’Dee.
  3. My gran lived in Denny which made Falkirk look posh. I was there regularly in my younger days. I’d not even describe it as a town given the absence of facilities.
  4. That’s a bit harsh! Its got a decent sea front and Morecambe Bay although, like many towns, parts of it have seen better days and are in need of regeneration. I’d have thought the likes of Workington, Barrow, Hartlepool, Scunthorpe, Barnsley, Nuneaton, Swindon and Newport (Wales) would be well up the list. Towns to rival Dingwall in Scotland would surely include the likes of Wick, Falkirk, Alloa and Stranraer.
  5. If we are interested in him, I’m not sure how it would work with him being under contract at Newcastle and on loan to Forfar. It’s whether the loan can be cancelled and he can start a fresh loan period, or whether nothing can happen until the January window opens. Anyone heard anything about Wotherspoon? He’d be a good addition.
  6. Ferguson Jnr was an unused sub for Forfar on Saturday.
  7. Ha ha! I’m normally pretty useless at this so I expect you to overtake me in week 10!
  8. No sign of an injury. Mckay had taken a knock so I assumed the double switch was to put Lodovica and Brooks up top and allow Samuels to play wide right. Shaw was quieter than in some games so it wasn’t a great surprise.
  9. Forgot to mention in my earlier post, I enjoyed the Z Cars music as our team came out.
  10. Scott Boden for Buxton today. None that I noticed in the Highland League although Ethan Cairns had a penalty saved as Forres lost at league leaders Formartine.
  11. Given the conditions, a decent enough game for a 0-0. We certainly merited the point and with better use of the ball we could even have got three. It is good to finally get a clean sheet although Partick did create the better chances with Ridgers called into action a couple of times. We had a big call for a penalty early in the second half but it wasn’t given. Otherwise I thought the referee did well, taking account of the conditions (when others would have booked Harper). Just a pity he didn’t book Graham for claiming a penalty after trying to dive to head the ball (which he missed) with none of our players close to him. I hope Doran is not badly injured and it’s just a strain that clears up quickly. Udjur strolled through the game and looks a real find. Gilmour is becoming more influential in the middle, whilst if Longstaff can find the final ball he will become a real player. As others have said, Mckay was the stand out player in our line up. Our unbeaten run is up to 2 games and Ferguson was keen to acknowledge the fans again, both before and after the game. Onwards and upwards!
  12. A View From The Terrace started last night with a discussion about Big Dunc and him going to the fans last Saturday, praising him and the fans. You may see yourselves on TV.
  13. With that game postponed, can I go with Montrose @ 1.85 please.
  14. The train cancellations were announced yesterday due to the amber weather warning. The club has just announced the game is on with no pitch inspection currently planned. So far the game at Elgin is off with inspections planned at Dundee and Bonnyrigg.
  15. I’m looking forward to the game tomorrow and seeing how we approach the game. It will be a tough one but one we can win. I just hope the weather doesn’t make it a lottery or affect the attendance (the trains from the central belt are cancelled). Let’s get behind Big Dunc and the players and help them get another three points.
  16. HT 1-0 FT 2-1 ICT Billy Mckay PT Graham Crowd 2397
  17. Ross Tokely scored for Nairn in the Highland League last night.
  18. I plan to take this one in. With the schools off and two kids free with an adult, hopefully there’s a decent crowd.
  19. Rory McAllister for Peterhead and Aiden Wilson for Rothes today.
  20. That’s great to read and see. We need his passion and it’s great he appreciates our fans. I don’t think we’ve seen that consistently since Butcher’s time (I accept Yogi did occasionally). A good start, now let’s kick on and put a run together.
  21. A big day ahead for big Dunc, the players, fans and club. Three points may be too much to hope for but I hope we get them. Whatever the outcome, I hope to read positive reports later from those able to be there. After a couple of decent recent performances, with no points, adding a new regime is what we need to turn things round, hopefully starting today. The season and our view of big Dunc is not solely dependent on today: this is just the start.
  22. Daniel Hoban has joined Banks O’Dee from Elgin.
