Kelty @ Home Nov2024
Off the park, what a great atmosphere in Bar 94 before and after the game, and it was great to see the management and team in the bar after the match, chatting to fans. They know we are behind them and they are grateful for that, and they are certainly up for the challenge they face.

Kelty @ Home Nov2024
That’s the best game I’ve seen at home this season. We were positive and wanting to win it from the start. On a different day, Devine’s shot off the post would have gone in and the referee would not have disallowed our second for a minimal contact with the goalie. We didn’t win, but a lot of positives. Allan a deserved MoM but a close run thing with Bray, MacKinnon and Longstaff. Great to see Nicolson and Cairns back too. So only a point but a lot of positives.

Dumbarton away Oct2024
With Annan winning tonight, we’d have ended up bottom of the league on goal difference without the 15 point penalty. Anyone can beat anyone in this league. We now need to ensure we start beating everyone! As I said above, let’s not give up hope and get behind the team 100+% next week.

Dumbarton away Oct2024
Don’t give up hope! As Scotty has said, the players only knew on Thursday if they still had jobs, and the new management team had little time with them. A result would have helped today but we still have 25 games left. Every game is critical, so let’s get behind the players at home next Saturday.

That’s a necessary formality as we are being run by the Administrator.

Good Luck: Scott K & Billy
Go for it guys. We are at our best when the odds are against us and we can triumph in adversity. Time for our Highland spirit to come to the fore!

Dumbarton away Oct2024
I think Danny Devine may be suspended for tomorrow’s game, but the SFA website is acting up just now. Its the start of the Kells/Mckay era and I hope they and the team get off to a flyer. Three points and Dumbarton are suddenly within touching distance. I’d not be too upset with a draw if we play well and on the front foot as it may take time for things to gel after a traumatic week. We mustn’t lose though, as that will make making up the points penalty even harder. Come on ICT!

Thanks, I misheard him.

I agree, he came across very well. The discussions with Morrison are going to be key to a CVA being achievable. Scott Young said on Saturday that dialogue with him was ongoing so hopefully they quickly reach an agreement.

Ferguson gone, who is next (List of Admin cuts)
Today’s news is not as bad as I had feared. My thoughts are with the players released and I hope they find clubs quickly. Of the four, only Wallace Duffy was a regular starter, but clearly Davidson has been preferred to him, and we have Ewen as defensive cover too. I see Dundee United are challenging us sending Newman back. I assume we were picking up his wage and accommodation costs so that’s why we’ve let him go. Hopefully Dibaga stays fit…. We now need to get behind the coaches and team and focus on helping them clawback the deficit, starting on Saturday at Dumbarton, which is a real “6 pointer”. The Administrator seemed positive about our prospects, and it is good the unsung heroes behind the scenes have not been culled. Savage being lined up to join the Board is another positive which can increase our confidence for the future. A much better day than I’d dared to hope for.

The interested parties are all new interested parties, I’m told, with “sporting backgrounds”.

Four players being made redundant and one loan cancelled.

Ferguson gone, who is next (List of Admin cuts)
I’ve seen a message that Cameron Ferguson has been made redundant, which is not a surprise. He should never have been brought into the club in the first place, given his father was Manager. If it’s true, he goes with my best wishes and I hope he can establish himself through getting a fresh start somewhere.

Ferguson gone, who is next (List of Admin cuts)
The P&J is reporting that Billy McKay will be named as Kells’ assistant. It was inevitable that Ferguson and his entourage would be casualties and I wish them well. My thoughts are with all those who will learn their fate tomorrow and I just hope all those who learn they are leaving are treated properly by the club.

We play Dumbarton on Saturday. Beat them and we are down to 9 points behind. One game at a time, stick together and triumph against the odds. Get back to how we used to be!

Admin by Oct 16th - It's here now!
A very sad day. Now let’s unite, show our Highland spirit and help whatever players we have claw back the points deduction and keep us in this league.

Ex-ICT players' news

Scott Young was interviewed on STV tonight. No offer was received so the administration process is proceeding. George Moodie from the Supporters Trust was also interviewed.

From the Fans Meeting, given the absence of an update today, we must be in administration. We were told the administrator would be here today or tomorrow, with a Press Conference likely to take place on Wednesday. There are presumably some formalities to be carried out before it can be formally confirmed. Copied from the Fans Meeting thread: To highlight one of the key issues, as has been mentioned in the Administration Thread Scott Young confirmed that the formal process for entering administration has started. Unless a formal offer is received before the administration papers are accepted by the Court (expected to be around 1000 on Monday) then the Administrator will be brought in, triggering the 15 point penalty. A Press Conference is likely to be held by the Administrator on Wednesday.

Also from that 2015 squad, Graeme Shinnie got Aberdeen’s equaliser at Parkhead and Ryan Christie set Bournemouth on their way to beating Arsenal. Three results for underdogs. How we need that spirit now! More mundanely, Matheus Machado for Montrose and Shane Sutherland scored a hat trick for Brora. More cup final heroes had a great weekend, as Ryan Esson and Aaron Doran have got Strathspey off the bottom of the Highland League after they went to second bottom Rothes and hammered them 6-0, with Kieran Chalmers getting one of them.

Annan @ Home Oct 19th 2024
There should have been more bookings for Annan players. Mckay got booked for querying a decision and the Annan player Manager did the same and no action. Some of their tackles were as bad as Devine’s deserved booking but no cards. And young Macleod’s booking was very soft. I thought the ref was very poor and inconsistent, bottling some key decisions. But, it’s history now. We won!

Playing catch up a bit with Highland League scorers, on 5 October Brad Mckay for Brechin, Iain Vigurs for Banks O’Dee and both Harry Nicolson and Josh Meekings for Clach. Vigurs got another on 12 October, the only one I noted for that day in the HL.

Annan @ Home Oct 19th 2024
I thought we deserved the win, but once again we made hard work of it in the second half. We dominated the first half and should have had more than one goal. One definite penalty was not given, possibly two (I wasn’t sure if the other incident was in or just outside the box). Devine took his goal well and led the back line with, as others have said, MacKinnon also having a good game. Allan also looked good to me. We allowed ourselves to get hemmed in after the break but Annan were fortunately toothless. With the 15 point penalty, next week’s game at Dumbarton becomes a real six pointer as we try to get ourselves back into the pack. Well done to all who played a part today. It must be tough with all the uncertainties at present. There were also some boos for young Ferguson in the main stand. Totally unnecessary and unjustified behaviour towards a young player trying to make his way in the game.
