Cove @ home Sept 2024
A poor performance and a worryingly small crowd, very similar to the number at the Dumbarton game when the boycott was still on. MacLeod and Nolan the picks me. Nolan must start next week. The game was there for the taking but we lost possession tamely in the lead up to their goal. We were well on top in the second half and I do feel the stoppage for the referee’s injury effectively killed the game as it petered out. Well done to the fan who stepped in to run the line.

Cove @ home Sept 2024
I’ve been away so wasn’t able to join the band of volunteers transforming the Sports Bar over the last couple of weeks, but I look forward to seeing the revamped bar tomorrow. It’s also opening earlier at 1200. From the club website: The ‘revamped’ ICT Supporters Bar will open from 12pm on Saturday ahead of the match again Cove Rangers The ICT Supporters Trust have been hard at work over the past two weeks revamping the bar and invite all supporters down to the match! Home and Away fans welcome Last Orders/Entry at 2.30pm with the bar fully closed at 2.45pm and then the concourse becomes available for all Main Stand supporters for catering/toilets. Thank You to the ICT Supporters Trust for helping get volunteers to make it possible.

Supporters Trust Appeal for Club Volunteers
If anyone is free on Sunday, the Supporters Trust will be delighted to hear from you. This is a copy of an e-mail to members today:

Hospitality
I appreciate it is a different meal offering, but that is a real bargain compared to the limited hospitality offerings in recent seasons that have been priced at £105 plus VAT, so £126 in total. I hope it gets well supported.

Bino's Challenge
Cameron Ferguson is only 21 and is still learning his trade. People who are not happy with Duncan Ferguson should know better than to take it out on his son. All our young players need encouragement. It will affect their confidence if they are getting verbal abuse from fans, even if it is only a small minority who are thoughtlessly doing it. Those involved should know better and use their energy in a positive way. We won the game 3-0 which makes their reported actions yesterday even more moronic.

3-0. Will take that and good to see Brooks amongst the goals. I missed it as away just now, but hope it was a good performance.

Inverness CT Community Development Summer Camps,,,
A great achievement and hopefully some future players participated. The Community Trust does a power of work. Whilst many on here won’t be eligible for the Summer Hotshots, they run Football Memories sessions monthly at the stadium.

New kit 2024
I like it and have no issues with doing a different badge for the away kit this year. I’m sure it will be a good seller and lets us put last year’s orange abomination behind us. Well done to those involved and I’m just glad we still have a club, and that they’ve been able to sort out the Puma arrangement and finally get these on sale.

The Queens visit August 2024
I missed the game yesterday so only have the highlights and comments to go by. Mckay’s finish was a real penalty box striker’s finish. He was very alert to react quickly and poke the ball in. Now the players don’t have all the off field turmoil playing on their minds, getting a vital win will have built their confidence greatly. It is time to kick on although, yet again, the level of injuries is concerning.

Our squad next season
I’d like to see Brooks get a run in the team. He has pace and movement, and is not scared to have a shot.

The Queens visit August 2024
Yes, there are pies available in the Sports Bar.

Our squad next season
Does that apply to loan deals too?

Our squad next season
He’s definitely a great prospect but, at his age, getting game time is important. He’ll be training with us and playing every week, rather than being on the bench or not even making the squad. For me, it’s a good move now we’ve a larger squad as he and Nixon will benefit from regular competitive game time and hopefully it helps them both become future first team regulars for us.

Our squad next season
Jack Walker to Nairn I hear. In fairness it gives him and Sam Nixon guaranteed game time rather than just filling our bench.
-
In Dunc I TRUST
I wouldn’t be surprised if his salary is the lowest of all Managers of full time teams in Scotland.

The Courier is reporting that Ferguson has taken a 40% wage cut, from £2000 to £1200 per week, and that when he joined he was on £3000 per week.

I get your logic but can’t help feeling that if AS was not taking the approach he is, SG would be much more likely to take the matter to court. A bit like defending from the front to prevent the attack taking place at all. I, like many others, am enjoying it all 😂😂
