  3. Ayr have won 3-1 at Morton so we are now 7 points off the play offs with 9 games to play. It will be a tall order and we will need a good run in to have any chance.
  4. I see the covers are on the pitch. With the yellow snow warnings and colder weather we currently have, hopefully they give enough protection and Friday’s game is not at risk.
  5. Kane Hester is in Court now, so when that is concluded the charge against Shane will presumably be heard: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-64863533
  6. UHI Campus for me too. The West Link Bridge has made a difference, but the Distributor needs proper links to the A9 to work properly (and a solution for Inshes Roundabout) and I wish they’d reduce the green time for pedestrians at the crossings as it is excessive at all of them.
  7. A loss of £800k on turnover of £2m implies costs of £2.8m, a 40% loss, which would be alarming for most companies. In business that means two options, which can be taken forward jointly: 1. Increase revenue 2. Reduce costs. We look to have tried (and failed) to increase revenue (eg concerts) so we must now look at costs. This does not have to mean players and their contracts, but we need to look at all the non playing staff and see what economies are possible. Do we need a staff of 90 odd? There may be “non cash” items in the costs, for example if we are depreciating assets over a defined period, but I would not expect any such items to be substantial. The other key element is cash flow and whether it is positive, or dependent on ongoing loans from Directors. Looking forward, as well as a thorough review of all costs, we should get any realistic prospects tied up on long term contracts if possible so we maximise the chances of decent transfer income. And a win on Friday would also help immensely!
  8. And a 2-1 win.
  9. I would say so, but allied to the feedback on what the CEO said on the radio.
  10. Noted yesterday: Marley Watkins for Aberdeen George Oakley (2) for Morton Coll Donaldson for Falkirk Nat Wedderburn for Stenhousemuir Ali Sutherland for Brora Gary Warren for Clach
  11. Likewise cautiously up to 4.
  12. Mmmm, Caley?? Being pedantic, Caley Thistle. Lol!! Listening to the report on Sportscene, the reporter felt the red card was harsh. Great to have a win at last. Now let’s sort out our home form.
  13. Full time: Ayr 1-2 ICT. Welsh and Henderson with the goals after we fell behind initially. Up to 6th, 5 points off a play off place, although the two teams above us have a game in hand (against each other). Could there be hope?
  14. GOAL! 2-1. Henderson. Suddenly 4 points off the play offs as things stand.
  15. Deas got his customary booking just after half time. Doran on for Allardice after 63 minutes.
  16. If the BBC are to be believed it is a 4 4 1 1 with Delaney in left midfield and Deas at left back. I suspect that is not how we’ve lined up. Half time 1-1. Ayr led through Akinyemi with Welsh equalising. Ayr down to 10 after half an hour. We’ve had 9 attempts to 4 by Ayr but possession pretty even.
  17. Deas and Mckay in for Harper (not in squad: injured?) and Samuels. Three in the middle, Welsh, Carson and Allardice?
  18. That’s good. I was impressed when I met him a couple of times and he got all the advertising boards sold, which hopefully has helped the next set of accounts a bit. I felt it harsh that he seemed to be the fall guy for the concert debacle rather than those who got us into the mess in the first place. He was also a very good hospitality host so can hopefully rebuild that side of things too.
  19. Dunfermline @ 1.65 please.

    RIP Eric

Always a sad day when we lose a Forum Member but a great tribute from tm4tj above.
  22. Our game that was originally on 11 March is now on 11 April. Depending on the next few weeks, it could be a relegation tussle.

  23. What’s the story with Keith Haggart? He’s the contact for those liking at hospitality for the Killie game. I thought he’d gone and was now at Brechin? https://ictfc.com/ticketing-update-scottish-cup-quarter-final
  24. Happy to stand corrected. I based my comment on my own experience, but turns out it only applies to certain PLCs, which clearly excludes ICT: https://www.icaew.com/groups-and-networks/local-groups-and-societies/london-ds/london-accountant/news-and-opinion/may15-auditor-rotation Meanwhile the Glasgow tag has picked up on it: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/inverness-ct-future-significant-doubt-29338575?1=
  25. I can’t open the file for some reason so just going by the comments to date. There is a limit to the number of years the same Audit firm can sign off accounts, a safeguard to stop them becoming too close so impartiality remains. I’d need to read the going concern comment before passing a view, but it sounds like our liabilities exceed the value of our assets and we are dependent on the loans from the Directors. Now more than ever is the time the CEO and Chairman need to be open with fans, and get us on board with their future plans. A wealthy investor is unlikely so we need to explore and maximise all opportunities (not concerts!) which includes becoming the community club we say we are but, as we all know, we’ve never really been. The product on the pitch needs to be good, and hopefully the Supporters Trust Survey will result in the full match day experience being enhanced. A cup semi final (or even final….) would certainly boost interest and awareness, but that will be a bonus if it happens. It is also hard to see any real sellable assets in our squad at present. We need someone to be the new Ryan Christie, so hopefully some of our youngsters develop quickly: Nicolson or Cairns maybe?
