End of the season, i believe....
-
it was confirmed by Richie at the Sponsors event earlier in the season that the club is in the progress of setting up a scouting network in Ireland as well as England, along with establishing 'feeder clubs'. Perhaps Dean is the start of this coming to fruition? and no, maybe his current level of football doesnt excite and inspire, but if he can rattle in some goals fer us, i don't particularly care whence he came.

Matchday Thread Ross County -V- Inverness CT
ictfcsince94 replied to Scotty's topic in Caley Thistle
I can't understand why so many people think our issues lie in the attack? Yes, it becomes an issue when we chase a game, but if you have to score 4 to win, things are going to prove to be difficult. ironically, it's our defence that's the problem. Our defence that picks itself. Brad is agreeably our most successful signing this year. Carlos is our top scorer and solid going backwards. And since Josh has come back from injury has been very impressive. Only slight criticism is of Gaz Warren - his legs are going a bit, and needs to just sit tight in defence and not worry so much about travelling up the park. Arguably, this is what our entire defence needs to do. I've been calling for 3 at the back, but we've been playing with a back two for much of this season. Our defenders needs to concentrate on defending. Draper needs to play just in front of them. And everyone else can worry about trying to score. But first and foremost, clean sheets are required. If we manage that, a cheeky wee one-nil here or there will make a world of difference. What I can't figure out, is how Brian Rice, being defensively minded, hasn't got this sorted out yet? Or is Richie pulling rank?- 90 replies

So...you have nothing against Richie's appointment. Nothing against Brian Rice's appointment. But the Board need to go?! Wise Up fer fecks sake mun! Is it the board that picks the teams, formations, tactics, training regimes? Is it the board that decides when to run with the ball, or whether to pass? No, it's not! The fact of the matter is, Richie hasn't been great, and the players haven't been great. Although at times, they have been excellent though! And and inch here or there on some passes and shots and we could quite easily be fighting for that 3rd place spot. I just don't see what causing turmoil throughout the club is going to achieve? To me, these seem like reactionary, heat of the moment comments due to where we currently find ourselves....but if you didn't see this hard slog coming then you were living in cuckoo-land! I've been to every game this season, except Well away, and I haven't witnessed a relegation team. At times, they've been amazing and at times, far from it, but I don't think they are deserving of their current position. And to say the players or Richie don't care, or are not trying hard enough, is just tosh. You can see it in their body language, hear it in their voices, and see it in their play, but when you find yourself in this position, you get zero breaks of the ball and none of the 50/50 decisions. Now, when the chips are down, we need to get behind our team. Behind our manager. Behind our Board. Because We Are Caley(thistle), Super Caley, no-one likes us, we don't care!

Personally... I blame the Young Team

Aberdeen: Defender Callum Morris exits without first-team appearance 8 hours ago From the sectionFootball Sharethis page Callum Morris signed for Aberdeen in June Defender Callum Morris has left Aberdeen having failed to make a single appearance for the club since arriving from Dundee United in June. The 26-year-old had spent two seasons at Tannadice but left following United's relegation from the Scottish top flight. English-born Morris first arrived in Scotland to join Dunfermline Athletic in 2012 after leaving Morpeth United. He has been part of Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland U21 squads. OFW TREMARCO MEEKINGS WARREN MCKAY DRAPER KING TANSEY DORAN POLWORTH FISHER SUBS: ESSON, SUTHERLAND, MULRANEY, BODEN, DOUMBOUYA, VIGURS, COLE Our Full-Backs need to bomb on, and support our wide players. Centre backs can sit back, and Drapes provides extra cover in front of them. Tansey gets his more attacking role, to go and control the game. Polworth plays up with Fisher, providing an out-ball, should we have to resort to Route1. I fear though, that this will be too much of a change from what we've been doing, as most camps admit that we've been playing well, just not converting chances or getting the rub of the green. So...I expect the usual suspects to be in the usual unfavoured positions, and the 'controversial' Vigurs to make the starting line-up, yet again. And an isolated one-up-top, which could change to Fish. A midfield of Tansey, Draper, Vigurs, Cole and Polworth is what will probably appear. Regardless of who steps onto the soggy Global Energy Stadium midden, we need to get right behind them and give them our full backing! Positive support from start to finish. Save all your moaning for here, post-match! Let's put the lights out on the wee-team, and go into our break on a high! #prideofthehighlands #foreverinourshadow #weeteamweecupbigteambigcup #caleyjagsaway #inforanwetrust #keepupthefight #topsix

I just can't agree that it's time to panic! Look at the bigger picture-we're a win away from 'safety' and still only 5 points from the top six. We need to rally behind the boys, not get on their back's and talk of Richie being sacked is just ridiculous! "I'm not going on Saturday because we lost" hmmm...fair-weather fan much....

Canna just blame the youngsters...it sounded like the entire stadium boo'd the announcement. And yes, maybe it was the decision, but by extension also the player. Or are you tryin to say that Vigz wouldn't have been disheartened by that?! Whichever way round it is, it's the kind of behaviour I would expect from lessor teams, without our class. We are better than that!
-
Seconded. to say I was disappointed at the behaviour of the fans last night is an understatement. The players need our support, not for us to be getting on their backs for every little mistake!

Never mind Saturday being squeaky bum time, I'm more worried about our trip through to the other wee team! If we pick up nothing against County, then it's a looong break to stew on it, put too much pressure on it, and get pumped by Elgin.... we weren't good enough tonight, but ffs why we boo our own players I have no idea! Hardly going to motivate them to play well, and clearly they were p1ssed off - only Josh bothered to applaud those supporters that bothered to stay! Fonners to blame for both. how in all that's holy did the ball stay out of the goal for us I have no idea! We made Samson look good! He pulled off some cracking saves. Allergic to shooting and allergic to scoring. Yes, We Trust In Foran...but come on tae....those were some head-scratchy subs. I liked that he went all out, changed tactics towards the end, to go for the draw/win, but the inevitable happened and they got their second. Depressed now....but bring on the County...

Also, not getting any game time....difficult to prove yourself with 5 minutes here or there. I maintain that playing him off Doumbouya or Fisher will prove fruitful
-
Wi tanz going, it's now time for Polly to step up, he's the natural replacement I would've said? more bothered about Meekings tbh, he's been consistently one of the better players this season... Jason Brown will provide good cover for the defence, but I don't think he's ready to start - we might have to go sign someone... And for the love-of-f8ck PLEASE DONT F8CKING BOO TANSEY NOW!
-
So, hibs, top of the Development League, are allowed to take in an emergency signing, but ICT with no fit GK's aren't allowed a game to be postponed....? Hmmm double standards from the SPFL.....surely not?
-
Agree. Whats actually disrespectful is Lonsana Doumbouya being announced at Saturday's game as Losana Dumbobo! Utter classless from a dirty disrespectful 'club'
-
Reminded me very much of the Dungdee game - on top and in control for most of the game, but unable to create or convert any goalscoring opperchancities. i actually think they're tryin too hard at times.... if you'd offered me a 1-0 defeat on the way there I'd o taken that...but after watching the performance I'm struggling to work out how the diddy team have found themselves in 2nd spot.... there is not a ten place gap between the two teams that were playing yesterday. A goal-scorer is required, pronto....lets hope santa's been good to oor Richie! anyway, as much as taking something out of that would of been nice, it's the next two games that are meaningful....and I'll happily play dog-sh1t and pick up points if the alternative is to play well and lose! Time to get ugly boys, and really earn those yellows that are being dished out like meth at a govan pharmacy! #caleyjagsaway #prideofthehighlands #whoevenarerangers

If only! But we're never playing two up front, not today. Swap Borden for Vigz and I think you have it spot on.

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la la la la, Sha lala lala lala lala lala lala lalalah Aaron Doran. it works, but you've gotta get the tune change just right! I think I've got the right number of Lala's in there, but it's really quite difficult to count them....

I fully expect to have traversed the worst of the conditions and make it to Perth just in time to receive notification of a postponed game!

As much as i'm really looking forward to humbling the new team, SURELY the game is to be cancelled? Apart from the fact that Ibrox is likely to be blown over, expecting fans and teams to travel in this weather is absurd. County, Aberness and Our games should all be cancelled on the grounds of Health and Safety. They spout forth nanny state sh1te when it suits them, why not now? Two accidents in the last two days on the a9, and the worst of the weather hasnt even hit us yet!!!! Come on Police Scotland, SPFL and the Clubs. Get this sorted!
