his link-up play was good, yes, but its his attitude, or apparent attitude that annoys me. he comes across as a petulant child

I have no professional affiliation to the club...however I DO have eyes! Fonners is perfectly placed to save the ball. Within probably 1m of him, it takes a wild bounce off the perfect playing surface and flies over him. I don't see how he could've done better, I don't see how the position of the wall would've prevented the bobble? And as he's lying on his side waiting to gather the ball, a cap would've been of no benefit.

No flares today. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen any flares at a ICT game... I'm gonna defend Fonners here. I don't like him at crosses or long balls, and has been suspect at free kicks, however...Elgin clearly won the coin this and put us into the low sun, and you can see from th video clip provided that Fonners is lookin right into that bright low sun for the entire half. Also, ball takes a bobble just before it gets to him. Just one of those things today, I don't think we should be so critical of him for that one, past mistakes notwithstanding.

Scott Boden
Really disappointed. I've defended him on here time and time again, but he did very little today. A couple of good pieces of hold-up, but nothing to warrant a start in league games. He really needed to come on today and have a blinder, but seems a bit like a spoilt child, if the pass wasn't exactly where he wanted, he had a bit of a strop. If his shot didn't come off, he had a bit of a strop. And in one of these instances, the Elgin boy ran straight passed him and started a wee counter attack! Counter that with the likes of Polly, who is bad for having a strop himself, tracked a Elgin loon almost the length of the pitch to make up for losing the ball to him. unfortunately, Boden appears to be a dud. And how many chances can we afford to give him....

The only time they even looked remotely like scoring was from set pieces. And any team from any league is levelled out at set pieces. OFW needs to be more commanding and less routed to his line IMO. Our mid-fielders were tracking players off the ball...and what's wrong with strong challenges from a team renowned for their size and physicality-you need to use all at your disposal to win games.

Richie Foran comments on current situation
I've been a supportive voice of Richie's since the announcement of his appointment. however i would agree - heart and will and desire and emotion can only get you so far in life. at some point, you need the skills required too. He clearly had this as a player, but currently has only shown flashes as a manger. unfortunately, he doesn't have 10 other people to deflect a poor performance onto, and in this respect has been very self-deprecating throughout, actually deflecting the blame onto himself and protecting his players. the 'results now' business of football also doesn't leave much time for an apprenticeship, so he'll have to learn quick. however, i do feel, that regardless of points totals, if we were in a different league position, then nobody would be saying a word about his performance, and a couple of draws out of those defeats would see us in 9th or 10th spot. clearly our lowly league position is attracting negative attention onto the team and management, but we're probably 3 goals missed from 'safety'. start with a confidence building, convincing win and performance on Saturday and the league is at our mercy. we have the players with the ability to do damage to ANY team in the league, as we have already shown, we just need an ever-learning and (hopefully) ever-improving Richie to get the best out of them and string some results together, especially against the other 6 teams around us.

It always amazes me that people that don't work for the club seem to have such a grasp of what's going on with ticket sales!- January Transfer Window
im certainly not blinded, and like many probably very concerned that we may well go down. and echoing what im sure i've said before, if we are to go down, i dont want to do it shouldering a heap of debt brought on by throwing money at some marquee signings, who we probably couldn't afford even if we DO stay up. RF can and has done wrong, but much like the rest of the squad, thats who we have and thats the route the club is going. There is a reason he was given a 4-year contract! this was never going to be easy, or an overnight success. it will be a long hard slog, which may take the full 4 years. lets hope the club remains solvent in that time. or we could just sack RF, throw out the board, get relegated and end up in a financially unsustainable position, somewhere in the middle of league 1 within 2 years, with countless people losing their jobs along the way. maybe then the 'missing' fans will turn up!- HELLGIN AWAY

its just another non-story from the Sun. I think we'll see plenty of teams showing interest in Miles, given that he's a proven goal-scorer and is currently doing nothing at Aberdeen.- January Transfer Window
You're forgetting that we've already had him on trial?- SACK THE BOARD
