Personally I'd go for the PS3 but thats just me.
-
whew. Still 4 points ahead of bottom with 4 left. I want it to be 4 points with one game left. Thats St Johnny johnstone up and the Bully Wee Clyde relegated.
-
Nah it's made of solid granite! Ian Black has just hacked it of the line from a Cuthbert header by the way.
-
The Cafu of the North scores! 2-1 get it there!
-
Well lets sack him then eh?
-
They've got the momentum. We need to get the ball and hold it.
-
1-1 darn it Jim Hamilton - someone mentioned that earlier. Tempted fate it seems. Wyness on.
-
Falkirk 2 -1 Motherwell David Clarkson. I think I heard someone sent of for Falkirk too! Also thats Rooney for Barrowman. According to commentator "he (barrowman) looks tired" Tired? Tired?! he doesnt move! how can he be tired! Other than that, its a good sub.
-
I'd bring Vigurs on for Barrowman (unless he scores as I type this) and push Foran up with Imrie. Perhaps take of one of Imrie/Foran as the game goes on for Rooney. With the other going into a supporting role.
-
I hope we can get 11th sewn up before the last game. I cant see Falkirk giving up and they have the ability to win all their games. Sounds like Imrie is causing alot of problems with his buzzin aboot. Not taking his chances though. We seem to be creating alot. But not taking them. I hate that.

According to the managers pre match talk on the official site Woods is back in training but nowhere near match fit. As Mihadchuks was injured last time out I'd imagine he isnt match sharp and therefore just on the bench. No idea whats up with morais and esson. Could be late injuries/knocks picked up in training yesterday. Morrison is a decent young midfielder on the bench to satisfy the U21 rule no doubt. Where someone like Hastings could be instead as there is little chance the young guy will get on. Glad to see Ian Vigurs back in the squad.

Might be worth looking at Dunfermlines Paul Gallagher

Suprised no one has mentioned Rory McAllister. We signed him from Aberdeen, albeit as a youth player. But he certainly never cut the mustard did he. Despite apparently having an abundance of potential. Mind you he wont have cost much in terms of salary and we wont have paid a transfer fee either.

Ok whew, got something there. Kept those time wasting match spoilers in the dogfight. I reckon if we can win 2 games in the next 5. I'd see St Mirren and Kille as our best chances given our head to head records (not recent form) We can manage draws against Falkirk and Accies Im sure. If this was to happen I thing we'd be safe. Then any positive result against 'Well would be a bonus. Our form against them is woeful in the last two years. I cant see us getting anything against them. Then again St Mirren managed it so who knows.

1st thing, whilst I agree he tends to be a fat lazy pie eater, Boyd is always in the right place at the right time. He's alot like David Healy - not very good, but invaluable at getting goals. Rangers fans are unbelievably right in that respect in that goals win games. Obvious yes and fairly simple. For me Burley has made all the rookie mistakes. 1. Allowed friendlies against teams we had little chance of winning and thus damaging our rankings (and confidence) which is important when it comes to seedings for qualifaction. Even if our top 20 status was a little flattering it was done through shrewd management in only arranging winnable friendly games to test players (ie Nigeria, USA and likewise) 2. He also decided to ignore squad regulars in favour of people like Clarkson and Teale. Neither of which are even Scotland international quality. 3. He has changed our philosophy to a footballing team apparently. Taking away from our attributes in set pieces and alike. Anyone who is honest will realise that Scotland are limited and need to play to strengths. Also from what I've seen, we've never played such awful football since Vogts darkest days. There doesnt appear to be the same belief or organisation as under our previous two managers. 4. Where it may be a childish point and he (TB - lord and saviour) is a great motivator, he was never going to win any fans by appointing an Englishman regardless of who he was. And to allow him to have his own war of words about a friendly with which Diego Maradona was involved was a further error and undermined his authority. It became a circus. 5.Broadfoot and Magregor. One is a very limited player and the other is niave. Two public slatings on their playing ability. Maybe the KB one was used to fire him up and in a sense it worked as he scored. I think it was more an honest assessment which a manager shouldnt say. He then says certain players were niave and shouldnt allow themselves to be blocked. Te moment in question is Van persies goal. a) Dirk Kuyt is a high quality player who knows how to be a nuisance. Its part of his job. even Van persie thought it was obstruction. Burley the rule that Fergie never does. Dont slag off individuals. Its a team game. 6. This Boozegate situation (the most overblown hoo ha in world history) is making him look the fool. 1st he allowed players to go the the bar for a quick drink and got taken advantaged of. Then HE banned the two idiots for life. Last week it was his decision. Gordon Smith doesnt know what the official line is. Neither does Peat. Today, he says he gave no permission and banning was nothing to do with him. If I was the manager and that decision on player staff was taken away from me I wouldnt be happy. It SHOULD be his decision. He has been further undermined. At the time i felt Burley was the right guy for the job but it's one mess after another and his superiors are not helping. I am not totally sure what type of respect there is for him. Constant contradictions (he only plays people who are playing then plays Gordon) and mismanagment of individuals have hampered him and I question whether he is able to manage at this level. He appears out of his depth. But I will support him along with Scotland to get the results we require. Wins against Norway and Moldova and something against the Dutch (who will have qualified by then)

Yus. Great vital win. And with Hamilton and Kilmarnock also getting humped its a good day all round. If only Motherwell could have beaten Aberdeen as to go above Hibs it would have been perfect. (id'd rather have Hibs to play in bottom six based on previous results) Thats us up to 9th. Hamilton, we're coming to get you!

should have been but they missed a penalty Crazy the fans were all chanting "we want callum elliot" they got aquiar and he hit the post and denied Elliot his hat trick in the process. Maybe Brew wasnt far off in his assessment of Elliot perhaps?
-
Get well soon. Never know he might be No'2 next season with Fraser leaving. More likely to be McNulty but ya never know.
-
Cant believe WE scored after half time. Usually not the thing that happens! But its very welcome. Very welcome indeed.

Lee Mcculloch Kris Boyd Allan Macgregor Barry Ferguson Is it just me or the fact they are all Rangers players worrying? Do the Scots lads at rangers not want to play for Burley or does he not want them? I just cant fathom why two adults would think it anything other than idiotic than to make gestures after being caught out and punished. Whereas Ferguson has not been anywhere near his best this season, he was good last season. He, even when not at his best, is very confident with the ball at his feet and imposes himself allowing others to do the running. No one else in Scotland does that. Fletcher is more of a solid midfielder who passes neatly and allows others to flow but doesnt impose lookin for people to make space. He rarely moves with the ball. Brown is good at making runs and is hard in the tackle. Kevin Thompson is a solid defensive midfielder. Im hoping that next season with tose 3 in the middle it will bring the balance required for Scotland. Maybe by then Steven Fletcher will be established allowing for Faddy, McCormack, Commons and Maloney to flank him. No matter peoples opinion on eithers playing ability it is still really disappointing in my eyes that two people would behave like that in representing their nation andresult in this enforced action by the SFA.
-
I wasnt all that bothered about the drinking. Fair enough they took it too far and had to be punished. Although considering Burley gave them permission to go for a drink and it's very doubtful it was just the 2 of them, then perhaps an apology for their conduct would have dealt with it. However i was very disappointed that two experienced players would act in such a petulant way before the iceland game. Especially give one of them is the captain and should lead by example. It gave no option for the SFA to hammer them. Rangers were also correct to punish them for dragging the clubs name through the dirt. I dont think Ferguson has been anywhere near his best for a while and Magregor was partly at fault for the 2nd goal (tho kuyt blocks keepers every week for liverpool. Good players know how to do it, and even van persie felt magregor was impeded) Still annoys me that thats two further very experienced players that wont play for Scotland again. Good riddance perhaps but after Brown and Fletcher we are short in quality midfielders. And after Gordon short in good keepers. One thing irks me though from the SFA. Gordon Smith said that he considered giving Boyd a lifetime ban but didnt as that could impede on future managers plans etc. Does this not do the same? Im certain of one thing though. George Burley is worrying me as Scotland manager. IS there a problem specifically with Rangers players? and if so why(in that is it them or him)? Why did he let them go drinking at 4am. Surely a drink on the plane would suffice, then straight to bed (at least anything further happens in the players rooms away from prying eyes) So many questions. And soo soo irritating. But shame on Allan Magregor and Barry Ferguson. You've let your country down.

While i dont want to aim low i see 9th as the most realistic aim for us now. But hey there is still a chance Hamilton and such could have a really bad run in. Though I would say anyone above 9th is probably safe.
-
I would imagine they may have some tie in with a letting agent or something along those lines to get them into quick accomodation. Put them up in a hotel until something is sorted. I do know that alot of the single younger players all used to share. I remember an article in the paper about mark brown and his flat mates. Cant remember who he shared with in the team mind. Couldnt be sure on actual arrangements for loan players or those on short term deals.
-
Looking at t'paper and such and saw with us now being on 25 points one ahead of Falkirk and now only 4 behind St Mirren and Killie. I see no reason why we should not make a target of at least 9th. With only a 4 point margin and more than likely all of the bottom 6 to play it's well within our grasp. We really have to push on from Wednesdays fantastic result and hopefully finish the season on a high. Hey, if we win today the season may start to look quite successful.

Normally i'd find this really defensive but we'll need to be tight and it can be changed later on by throwing on another forward, bringing Proctor back into midfield etc or we could go and ask to borrow Rankin for this one. He could try his squigler!
