Hey GJ you seem to have a beef about RF at the moment, I don't believe for a moment he is the worst player in the team and I don't believe you can fault his commitment to ICT. from people who have spoken to him he is immensely proud to be ICt captain but like Grant before him it seems his performances have dipped with the captaincy and maybe it's time to give him a wee break and let him play like we know he can. I always remember when he came on against Antwerp won the penalty, scored the penalty and played well, He is well capable of better things than at the moment, Piling the pressure and blaming individuals is not going to help anyone. Let's get behind the team and hopefully in the long run things will work out. In ICT we believe
  2. Well said Dougal - good to hear some positive vibes
  3. Negativity abounds on this forum, Wise up guys We've not been cast adrift at the bottom YET!!!!. We didn't have a great game today Esson was our saviour and we could have easily lost, rosscoe was solid if not spectacular and most of the others seem to be playing with a lack of belief and confidence. However at this point of the season with such a long way to go we need to be getting bbehind the players and not lambasting them with some of the crap that is being dished out at the ground. Yeah so what if Richie was asking us to keep our chins up at the end of the game, would you prefer it if he shyed away from us collected his wages and pi$$ed off home. I am sure the players themselves are hoping for better things and this is still way beyond what most of us 'oldies' could have dreamt off in those days back in the 70's when the jags got refused league entry. Anyhow let's get behind the team, we've had worse performances than today by a country mile, I remember games with just over a thousand playing Brechin and the likes and going home frozen stiff and dreaming for 'BIG' games like the spl, As you can tell I've had quite a few beers since the game and some JD and coke but let's enjoy the ride and stick with our beloved ICT Onwards and Upwards. OH INVERNESS...............................................................

I think Duff has actually signed for Ayr utd - Bit of a come down for him after we offered him a new contract in the summer. http://www.ayrunited-mad.co.uk/players/current_squad_list.asp
  5. 1st half - fairly dull with both teams pretty much cancelling each other out. 2nd half what a difference - chances galore and if Tade had a better first touch he could have had another couple of goals though hearts hitting the bar was a bit of a let off- anyhow if we can keep picking up some points until we are back to full strength things should be okay in the long run. And what about the wee kid running away with the ball and even taunting the hearts player - A true ICT fan in the making.
  6. On sky sports website transfer deadline day special it has a box titled Totaliser showing how much money the EPL have spent in the current transfer window. It currently stands at 389 million pounds I wonder how much Scottish clubs have spent in total? Heres the sky sports link http://www.skysports...0,14896,00.html
  7. Every Scottish team is now out of Europe already and though not 100% sure I think every English team is still in. Even shamrock rovers are still in at the moment though that may change yet :irritated:
  8. Adam Rooney has just scored a penalty against Middlesborough
  9. Beautiful sunshine here woo hoo - a guaranteed definitely maybe possibly win and a few pints on the horizon Down to the ground in an hour and the first pint of the day
  10. Bring back Hercher Far enough?
  11. Well you've asked, so here you go! Well, believe it or not, I have to agree in part with Dougal! While I do not oppose giving the management team a new deal, I'd rather see how the first chunk of the season goes first. Remember how quickly things can change in football. The flip side of this would be that if we have a really good few months Terry and Mo may be wanted elsewhere. sign them up now and if they end up doing well at least decent compensation would be due which may scare off others. And before anyone says it, The flip side of my argument would mean if it all goes sour - not so good - but let's be optimistic
  12. In other friendlies St Mirren 4 -0 Morton Partick Thistle 2 - 1 Celtic
  13. Re: ATFC Vs ICT - Match thread by Match Blogger Rob ? Sat Jul 16, 2011 4:26 pm 1-1....Nick Ross with a goal straight out of Crimewatch Goal timed at 66 mins.....
  14. From the Aldershot site Re: ATFC Vs ICT - Match thread by Mytshot ? Sat Jul 16, 2011 3:55 pm Shots by far the better team. On this showing the S cottish Premier League isn't even league 2 standard! Don't think we have impressed many :irritated:
  15. What incredible thunder and lightning. From about 3.30 till 5 this morning we just watched out the window and it was spectacular. Even the kids couldn't sleep. There was almost a sound of music moment singing raindrops and roses, whiskers on kittens etc. Shame about the golf though it is clearing up now and hopefully with it being a links course should dry off reasonably quickly.
  16. Meekings - Not strong enough or imposing enough to be a centre half - beaten too easily in the air Gillett - awful start but improved as the game went on. A Shinnie - took his goals well G Shinnie - looked pretty good as a left mid though not the best of opposition D Proctor - played well - as if he had never been away and could be an important player this year. N Ross - Sailed through the game G Tansey - Too many missed passes - his touch looked a bit heavy but looks quite athletic and will hopefully come good Rossco - Played as a centre half should Pass marks for the others though we seem to have loads of midfield players at the moment with no out and out strikers - here's hoping Tade/Gonnell will step upto the mark or there will be a lot of weight on Shanes shoulders to bang in the goals
  17. I was quite impressed with his pace and looked good holding the ball. Not sure how tall/small he is but the training bib was like a mini dress on him
  18. ABSOLUTELY AYE
  19. There is an alternative that no one has mentioned - Containment tanks which are becoming more popular in areas that suffer flooding. with the car park and overflow area we have as many tanks as required are dug into the ground and intercept water from the drain when it reaches saturation and they can hold hundreds of thousands of litres and then can be pumped out to see when the tide drops, Diggars, PVc Tanks, Pumps etc pretty expensive but not insurmountable.
  20. An embarrassment for us I'm afraid coming so soon after the last time.

Not so sure about that one Joe, surely if Caley had gone it alone that would have left one 3rd div team and 2 highland league teams for Inverness to support and I personally would have carried on watching the jags with very little interest in Caley as a single entity. Then my kids would have come with me etc and maybe not the biggest support but surely the dilution of fans with 3 teams in town may have led as charles has said to less initial success which may have curtailed the rapid rise we enjoyed and therefore more mediocrity with less fans etc. All speculation now I suppose as we all have a team which all of us and Inverness should be rightly proud of. Out of interest what about Kingsmills Park - was there ever a financial gain to the merged club from the sale for the Nursing home that stands there now

Were we really a much smaller report charles? i remember many games at Kingsmills where there was an abundance of jags fans and remember a fair few at telford St where the Howden end was far from full and the canal end was abundant in red and black fans. The original question however about refuseniks makes me think of at least two jags fans who have never watched ICT play and never will (Their loss) no matter how much i try to persuade them? I personally decided away back in 73? or whenever we lost out to Ferranti Thistle later to become Meadowbank later to become livingstone that i would support any inverness team to join the scottish league, Inverness utd or whatever it was decided to be called. We have to see the bigger picture and those that have decided with their small/narrow mindedness not to support a merged team have lost out on a wonderful journey, from beating arbroath in our first league game with Herchy's hat trick to the famous celtic game and the awful game where county humped us. It's been a fantastic journey which many of us could never have imagined back in those days and it's far from finished. This wonderful voyage goes on and on, up and down and hopefully for many many years our children and their children can enjoy the the magic of ICT
  25. Do you mean they will make them sit down like the home fans?
