Foran is no ready
Sorry to say but I'm yet another one yet to be impressed by Gil - Other than the two games in England I have seen all the pre season/ CIS cup games etc and nothing yet has made me go wow - A decent free kick against Clach that hit the bar and a good free kick against Antwerp are all that come to mind - I see him getting the ball - a few tippy tappys and then giving it to an opponent - people keep commenting about it being early days - No more earlier than Nick Ross, Lee Cox etc and when we get into top gear I don't see him doing anything other than keeping the bench warm. I really really hope I'm wrong but IMHO I don't see him doing much better than Robert Eagle in the overall scheme of things but as they say football is a game of opinions and we each think we are right

Royal Antwerp Matchday thread
Hi guys - Left an FCUK sweatshirt on the back of my seat after the game - North Stand Section H Row N - Went back to the ground 20 mins after the game and it was gone - have been to reception and nothing has been handed in. It's Black with white FCUK writing on the front and wasn't available in the shops - was a special online order at the time and not many about - I wondered if any of you section G guys had seen anyone lifting it as I a few of you tend to walk behind our seats then down after the games - Maybe one of the regulars who sit beside us lifted it and will take it back this Sat{who knows!] . It has a distinctive mark on it so I will recognise it if I see anyone wearing it at the ground. If anyone has any info let us know. Cheers Dudes :_talktalktalk:

MFR to do live commentary
Nope. 31 then 5 after the split mate. Fantastic news! They sure have taken their time to do something like this. But its welcomed all the same! Surely its 33 + 5 as we play each of the other 11 teams once = 33 and then we will play the other 5 teams in the top six once

Can you hear the noise ?
BRING YOUR VUVUZUELAS Just got the Highland News and TB has commented on people to bring their vuvuzuelas to help create a party South African style on our return to the SPL - good enough for big Tel then that's good enough for me - should be quite interesting as I'd imagine a fair few away fans are going to have them. One more for the North stand as my lad has one and if anyone picks on him for blowing it, there could be a few words said. :trumpet: :_thump: North stand section H

The best cup final you've ever seen?
Like others I was also at the Thistle - buckie game - but one that stands out for me was the 1990 Scottish cup final Aberdeen v Celtic - got a free ticket to the aberdeen end that day and even though the game ended 0 - 0 Aberdeen won 9 - 8 on penalties with Anton Rogan missing for the tic - Some good players on view that day for both clubs ABERDEEN: GK Theo Snelders DF Stewart McKimmie DF Alex McLeish DF Brian Irvine DF David Robertson MF Paul Mason ?' MF Brian Grant MF Jim Bett FW Bobby Connor FW Charlie Nicholas FW Hans Gillhaus Substitutes: DF Graham Watson ?' MF Eoin Jess Manager: Alex Smith CELTIC: GK Pat Bonner DF Dariusz Wdowczyk DF Paul Elliott DF Derek Whyte DF Anton Rogan MF Billy Stark ?' MF Peter Grant MF Paul McStay FW Joe Miller FW Andy Walker ?' FW Dariusz Dziekanowski Substitutes: MF Mike Galloway ?' FW Tommy Coyne ?' Manager: Billy McNeill

If you could ressurect ANy ex ICT player
Charlie Christie for me - In his prime he was as good a player as we have had IMHO Paul Richie for my son - scored loads of goals when he first started watching ICT aged about 5 and still his favourite player

Inverness CT 0-0 Real Valladolid (FT)
Quite an intrigueing game - maybe not the excitement of a full blown competitive match but interesting none the less. Thought they started off with their passing game and kept possesion pretty well but we came back into the game and certainly didn't look out of place against them. Thought Rossco did rerally well tonight and if he can play like that consistently in the SPL then all the talk of his demise regarding his pace etc might be a bit premature. Also thought we looked more composed at the back with Proctor and Mcann playing and passing the ball from the back rather than hoofing it up the park although we were prone to do that from time to time. The new boy Gillet looked good and Golly will have a fair bit of competion. In the middle thought we looked ok with cox, duncan, rossand Gil combining reasonably well though IMO gil has nice movement but flatters to deceive. Eric looked sharp and Adam was his usual self All in All a decent excersise against a decent team and we managed to lull Neil Lennon into a false sense of security ahead of a week Saturday:_header:

pies
Was deffo there pies in the van at the north stand end and when I asked Mr Hastie himself he said that they intend to be there at all home games this season - It was a brand new catering van they had bought and they had one or two little hiccups but the steak pie was the same prices as the normal ones sold but with considerably more filling. I had 2  now you know who ate all the pies

Matchday Thread: ICT -V- Queens Park
Professional job - well done Esson - Fairly easy game for him with one good save in the second half Mcann - Steady but looks a bit immobile. Jurys out yet Golly - Did his job as you would expect of him in his usual style Munro - looked steady until he was replaced (saw him limping off carrying his boot at end of 1st half) Rossco - Like munro - struck the ball well for his goal but seemed a pretty soft booking for hand ball Cox- was everywhere and for me was the MOM Duncan - strolled through the game Sanchez - created quite a lot of the play but never seemed to look up when rooney was in space and seemed to choose the wrong final ball fairly often Rooney - fairly quiet but didn't get a great deal of service and was having to chase the ball a lot of the time Ross - Good shift by young Nick and certainly looks promising Gil - Out wide on the left and seemed to struggle out there - always cutting in and certainly not a winger Subs Innes- not on long enough to make an impact eric - looked sharp and willing to put himself about looking for the ball Roy - looked quite good in the left back position and willing to come forward as well We can only beat what is in front of us and we did that fairly comfortably - A sterner test awaits These are my opinions and obviously we all see the game differently :_talktalktalk:
