  1. There were some impressive performances in that Colts side. Don't forget they beat good English National League sides in Solihull Moors and Wrexham to get to the semi. Some of those lads will go on to be stars and rightly so. I just hope it's not at that poor excuse for a football club. One other thing I noticed at the end of the game, those young lads went over to applaud the local plastic Sevco fans but most had already left by then. So another Challenge Cup final, we love it. Raith Rovers will be no push over and it should be a cracker of a game.

Nice one guys. The Coventry accent is a rare breed never to be reproduced by any comic or soap opera act as the Sky Blues fans point out in their song.." In our Coventry homes, We speak with an accent exceedingly rare, You want a cathedral we've got one to spare, In our Coventry homes... " Good answer my question though even though it was, kind of, tongue in cheek
  3. Never is Jack. It's always the fans that are inconvenienced in today's game. We were always going to be on a hiding to nothing as soon as we were drawn out of the hat for an away tie. No chance on this Earth that any k.o time other that 3 pm on a Sat would suit all. TV rights and money take preference over any hardy fan. Bums on seats do not feature at all in any SFL/SFA remit. Needless to say a Fri 1945 k.o time is no good to me. And people ask me why I've lost my football mojo.
  4. They beat a very good Solihull Moors side (albeit on pens) after coming from 2 goals down...away from home. I really hope the guys approach this with eyes wide open and go for it. Don't think I could stand it if we lost to 'them' regardless as to what team they decide put out against us.
  5. Mexican next....El Gringo.
  6. You know me too well . By the way, I've never received any royalties from these firms that use my name. I feel cheated.?
  7. I have no issues with this
  8. Brilliant. The game against Airdrie (away) was my first ever Caledonian match.
  9. Have we not chased Shane before? Was he who didn't want full time football? Or am I getting confused with Rory McAllister?
  10. I plead guilty in none attendance. Not been Home or Away all season. Kind of lost my football and travelling (by rail) mojo. Having said that there are 100s of folk in Inverness that can take my place. I know they are there because I saw them all on the video of the SFA Cup Winners parade.

I've been saying that for years and it hasn't happened yet. His pockets must be very very deep. On the subject of players leaving I can hardly blame them to be fair. I've said it before that if we were offered more money for doing the same job we'd bite their hands off. ICT will never be in a position to offer mega bucks contracts. Players will come and go and we have to accept that even if they do want to stagnate across the bridge.
  12. So many happy days following the team over the decade and I echo those stated above. So difficult to pick my top moment. But, of the games I've attended my vote goes to winning goal in the FACup semi final against Celtic. Always brilliant to see us beat them and for David Raven to grab the winner was just pure magic. Yes, lifting the cup too was magical but we struggled in the match and too many nervous moments for me until that final whistle. Magic to see Shinnie lift the trophy ( and me to hold it ) but that win signaled the end to that team which was a sad moment and put a dampened on it for me. Ayr away was brilliant - party party all the way and all that - but the title was already won before kick off.

Sad to hear this. I never saw him play I don't think but I've heard the name. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
  14. The Scottish Sun have had information from a reliable source that the Mods player, TM4tJ is training his dug to do a jobbie on the pitch prior to the semi final with Last of the Summer Wine. The Mods strenuously deny these reports stating that the allegation has come about through a misunderstanding when TM4TJ was heard shouting Shit,Shit,Shit whilst watching ICT recently. A club spokesman said TM4JB always picks up his dugs poo, puts it a bag and gift wraps it before sending it to Dingwall. The paper also reports that Gringo and Doofers Dad may be too interested in the NPL and may lose concentration during the match. Again these allegations has been denied. Meanwhile, concerns have been raised in the Last of the Summer Wine camp over glamour boy Naelifts seeking the affections of the two ladies in team. They’re hoping he will be able to concentrate on the game instead of posing.
  15. That's so wrong, surely a lady can refuse such intrusion. In my eyes a 'gentleman' shouldn't even ask to look inside lady's handbag but....stewards aren't gents I suppose?
  16. I certainly hope it was a female steward doing the checking? Totally necessary anyway. I recall an occasion last season when Mrs G wasn't allowed to take her umbrella into the ground. Apparently it could have been used as weapon. The mind boggles.
  17. So, that's the title gone a bollock then...as if it wasn't prior to this game anyway.
  18. Yet another exciting cup draw
  19. What a disappointing competition this has been for us in terms of opposition. Not one game against any of the Irish, Welsh or English sides. How refreshing would that have been? And now we get a side from that shambolic excuse for a football club. Hope we pump them but, on current form, that doesn't seem likely. We have until mid Feb to sort ourselves out.
  20. In recent times longest I can see is 2013-14 season. 4 games without scoring in March 2014. 1 FACQF: 1 LC Final: 2 in the league.
  21. There is, very definitely, an apathy towards ICT from within the City. Some blame the merger but this was 25 years ago now. Looks like old wounds will never heal in respect of this. Those born after the merger should have no say in what went on back in the day. These children would have mainly been brought up with parents supporting one of those big clubs from Glasgow - in effect glory hunters. I too am from England and I came across Caledonian FC back in 1978. I've been following them every since. I didn't want the two clubs to merge but it happened anyway and I accepted it. ICT have given me some great times over the years and I've been to over 200 games (a 900+ miles round trip for home games).
  22. Don't worry too much about IHE. He's a little pussy cat really. He's very much a Caley man and loves England.
  23. Don't think I've ever seen Robbo look so 'lost' in an IV. Sad to see. It's going to take a mammoth effort by all the players to turn this around.
  24. Keeping it off topic for a minute or 90..Alan, you will find these 'novel's' far more entertaining than any you will find in the press. These fine folk that write these reports do so at their own free will and time. I'd sooner read these reports, be they short or epics, than any other in mainstream media. I'm sure you didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings bud and I hope you haven't because I'd hate it if they stopped writing these novels
