  1. I think County will escape the drop and it would be good to see another former HL side coming up.

I could agree to that in their current location. However, the Highland Marchers will always have a respect for the club / fans after the welcome we received on that inaugural event.

As clear as a foggy day in Blackpool

I find these play offs so confusing (it's my age). Queens Park crowned champions and in the play off's..go figure. I also find Falkirk's collapse astonishing. And, yes, looks like the Brora challenge has come to an end. They've had a remarkable season though. I'm sure the other teams in league 2 aren't too upset about not having to travel up there though.
  5. Got loads of those to catch up on. This retirement lark doesn't give me a lot of spare time..
  6. It has always been inevitable that we will lose our best players to bigger clubs. What ICT need to do is secure good deals that will benefit the club and not let these lads go for peanuts.
  7. The Scottish Championship Correct Score Prediction League for season 2020/2021 has been won by... @MrCaleyjag Well done that man. I was unable to hold that top spot but it was nice to be there at one point.
  8. As if they've got a good reputation anyway...
  9. Don't worry, you are not alone. I don't think JR will return as our manager. I wish him well of course but I feel he will want to step away from the pressures of management. Lots of things for the board to sort out in an effort to get a settled management team in place for 2021/22. I also think that Neil will not take the job on should JR not return. As mentioned above, money and location would probably make his mind up for him. It's going to be an interested close season.
  10. And an excellent example of why I hate the SPL so much.
  11. If only we could have played Raith and Arbroath every week. Strange how we took seven points off a team in second place and only two of a team sitting bottom. P W D L F A Pts Alloa Athletic 3 0 2 1 4 5 2 Arbroath 3 2 1 0 5 2 7 Ayr Utd 2 1 1 0 3 1 4 Dundee 3 0 2 1 4 5 2 Dunfermline 3 1 1 1 3 4 4 Hearts 3 0 1 2 2 6 1 Morton 3 1 1 1 6 4 4 Raith Rovers 3 2 1 0 3 0 7 Queen of the South 3 1 1 1 4 2 4
  12. Win or bust. No choice but go all out guns blazing shoot on sight football.

Absolutely top quality work rate and effort from you all. I'm sure the late Ian Broadfoot would be extremely proud of what you guys have done. I salute and applaud you all. Drinks are on me when / if / wherever we should meet.
  14. Will be very interesting to see which side Neil goes with. We do/should have enough about us to win this tie but it's cup football. I'm hoping that, should the worst happen, it doesn't knock our newly gained confidence of a winning team.
  15. I quite like that. Possible idea for a Caley away strip.

I'm just wondering what Neil will do for Tuesday's cup tie. No doubt some of the guys will need a break but would you upset the current momentum in the side? Would injuries allow for a shuffle?
  17. Don't let her go anywhere near the Guardian and I think you might just get away with it.
  18. I wonder if there'll be a similar situation as to the one down here. Our equivalent competition, the Papa John's EFL Trophy, final from last season was played on Saturday. It was won by Salford City and was their first senior trophy. However, they only held the trophy for 24 hours as this seasons final was played yesterday and won by Sunderland. Now there's another trivia question in years to come.
  19. I must admit I was dreading watching our team get embarrassed on national TV but, I'm happy to say, that didn't happen. I though they played well once they got going. Having said that, they could have been 2 down by that time. Draw was an honest result I think. Carson defo MotM for me too. Chances were created and should have been put away. My only main gripe was the Keatings situation. As far as I am concerned he is still contracted to ICT and should have played. Watching that performance gives me a bit more belief that we can drag ourselves out of this mess.
  20. Agreed. No point signing a striker if we can't get the ball to him. It's creativeness and the desire to win that we so desperately need.
  21. The defeat against Morton wasn't a shock to me if I'm honest. I'd also given up on a play off place ages ago as our form wasn't (still isn't) good enough and certainly nowhere near SPL standards. In our current state I'd go as far as to say it being a blessing that we're not going up this season. We need to survive this season though but until we have a leader and creativeness on the field of play that is going to be a tough ask.
  22. Yes, their lack of match fitness and game time could be an issue for them. On the other hand our heavy schedule leading up to this game will not do us any favours either I don't think. Back to back games against Raith Rovers and then Pars away all in 12 days leading up to this tie. Injuries, managerial turmoil, lack of confidence within the team give me concern that this banana skin is bigger than we think.
  23. Didn't we set some kind of record a few years back by going 100+ games without a 0-0 draw? You may have a point, players trying to put themselves in the shop window for a chance to earn more money and escape.
  24. Buckie will be well up for this cup tie exactly the same as we would have been back in our HL games. Taking on a higher placed team who are out form is on ideal chance to cause an upset. At this point in time I wouldn't relish an away tie in Dingwall if I'm honest.
  25. Based of the current form tables over last six games: Home: ICT W1 D4 L1 Away: Morton W1 D4 L1 Can't help feeling nervous to be honest
