Team for Partick
If Partick were to go 3-5-2 then I'd counter that with 4-3-3 Esson Tokely Duff Munro Hastings Cowie Duncan Imrie Rooney Barrowman Wood If we are in negotiation with Hearts then Black may be dropped so as not to be cup-tied.

GOOD BACKBONE
I've found them all for you and only Elvis will cost us.

Tokely at Right Wing
I thought Tokely done very well on Sunday till he got injured. He is a right back and that, IMO, is his best suited role. As others have intimated he doesn't seem to be doing so well without Barry. He needs a right mid who can gel with him, make runs with him, find space and then got onto the crosses. Someone who can also get back and cover for him. As for playing right mid he just doesn't have the pace or agility for the role.

Iain Vigurs
Ian Vigurs, like Woods, Duff and McAllister, was given a years contract last season to prove themselves. I'm sure some of those players will be given new offers. The priority at the moment is to try and find experience in the window. After that the club need to look at what the future budget is going to be before contracts can be offered. Even when new contracts are offered getting players to sign long term is not only down to the club. The player may agree to sign a shorter contract because he feels he doesn't want to be tied if a better offer comes from elsewhere. Personally, I'd like to see our talented youngsters coming through and doing the job required and I'd like to see them being developed to such a potential that there is demand for them and money to be made, or they want to stay and give their all for the club. Those who come from outside I feel are only ever going to be here to showcase themselves and move on to better money. Regardless of what the fans want they themselves dont want to be tied. We can easily make assumptions about what is, or isn't, on offer but nobody makes assumptions about what the player wants. Ian Black hopes to go to Hearts in the window for a fee but knows he's going in the summer anyway. Had he been on a longer contract the club could hold him to it and he'd be stuck here on ?1200 a week instead of earning ?3000. Motherwell are prepared to wait for Cowie. Had he been on a longer contract I doubt they'd want him. Players who feel they have some better qualities than the average will not agree to long term contracts on the wages we can afford. The management team were desperate to keep Ian Black but they cannot afford to match what he'll get at Hearts. Getting people tied down to long contracts is not always in the hands of the people running the club. Had we seen year on year increases in season ticket uptake and gate reciepts then perhaps we could have predicted future budgets and increases in wages to keep players. As it is that hasn't happened.

Grassa
And where will we find someone else who'll do his role for nothing?
-
Grassa
Having spoken to Graham on a few occassions the one thing I would not describe him as is arrogant and smug. He wants the same things for the club as we do. He is hopefull that things will turn round and is doing all in his power to get some experience back into the team. Over the last few weeks Graham has been subjected to some abuse on those forums. A lot of it undeserved. He has a young son being subjected to that same abuse because his father is Graham Bennett. Is that deserved? I think not.

1st Division (one year only!).
As has been said Hibs are the one and only team ever to have gone straight back up. If we were relegated we'd stay down. The league is so tight that teams build up over three or four seasons to win it. Financially I dont think we could stay a full time team. The fanbase is too small. We couldn't keep paying the wages we do. Small though they may be.

ICT tartan
There's as much black in it as there is blue. Just not enough red. And its quite different to the Rangers tartan

Brewster out campaign
Personally I dont believe Brewster will be sacked. Rightly of wrongly the Board are not going to be seen to bow to pressure from fans regardless of what they do or say. And I think the more the protest the more Brewster will be supported. I believe also that there is a plan in place to turn things around and that so long as we are not left on our own at the bottom of the table Brewster is going to be given the chance to make the turnaround. The one thing that annoys me is that it would be nice to be given some insight into what the plan is.

MR SUTHERLAND(TULLOCHS) ON NORTH TONIGHT
.....does Orion not have a turnover in excess of ?250,000,000 , twice that of Tullochs. Twice the turnover, twice the commitment, twice the power, twice the AMBITION !!!!!!!!! Turnover means income not profit. Woolies will testify to that. Turnover refers to the money being taking in. Outgoings and debt payments are not included. Rangers have a turnover of some ?50m but a debt in excess of that,

MR SUTHERLAND(TULLOCHS) ON NORTH TONIGHT
Christ Alex dont be smart !!! I'm just looking to the ?38m up for grabs on friday Mind you if I'd never ever bought a lottery ticket and saved the money I could probably buy the club now.

MR SUTHERLAND(TULLOCHS) ON NORTH TONIGHT
Thing is a fully developed stadium, with built on hotel, conferencing, restuarant, gym and sports facilities etc. would actually be an asset within such a development. There is also one hell of a lot of land reclamation potential around that area.

Only an Excuse
Thank christ for this site. On the run up to the bells tv's shite, got to take it easy on the drink (saving mesel for friday) and all is quiet in Perth at the mo. Wonder if Jonathon Watson has a portrayal of our manager.

MR SUTHERLAND(TULLOCHS) ON NORTH TONIGHT
The Trust has a 10% voting right. I believe the ordinary 100 share small investor amounts to around 9 or 10%. Orion 12%. Turn the views of someone like Sandy Catto and the voting right of the trust could easily outnumber the voting right of Mr Sutherland. So yes, he is going to try and talk things down. His puppet at the top could quite easily be ousted by a show of solidarity. And for itsagoal,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,look here

Chairman backs manager....
Not quite true Steve. He still has an investment that amounts to a 12% stake in the club. Alex I can assure you it is not an interest Perhaps he'll come along to the meeting next week..............................as an interested shareholder.

That seems to add more strength to my assumptions on another thread.

Chairman backs manager....
My knowledge of whats going on is pretty limited. Consisting of rumour, suggestion and snippets from people around the club. What I have gleaned though tells me its time the cards were put on the table. Some, it appears to me, are not happy at the way the company was changed from a Public to a Private Limited Company. That change came about in the early days of Orions expressed interest in the club. This change was publicised as a requirement to allow Tulloch's to further invest in the club without being forced, by law, to make an offer to purchase outright. In other words Tulloch's then hold a controlling interest which prevents another (Orion) coming in and purchasing the necessary 27% that would entitle them to make a bid for control. This may all have come about as a genuine concern, by Tulloch's, that their investment was in jeopordy but now I see it becoming a death knell for the club we love. Maybe, if my assumptions are correct, its time Mr. Savage and Orion Recruitment came out into the open and showed their hand. Maybe I'm writing a load of crap and couldn't be further from the truth but whatever. So long as time is being wasted saying nothing the hole is getting deeper.

Chairman backs manager....
Ian Black, according to the BBC pre-match review had a hamstring twinge and according to ICTFC had flu yet Ian Black according to an insider was dropped. So how do you suggest we be factually correct and fair.

Team for Rangers game
f*** Rangers. WE are hurting from 5, count them Craig ... FIVE defeats on the trot, and 1 home win in 10 games this season. concentrate on YOUR problems Craig, dont trot out the excuses before a ball is kicked. We also need a manager who has a f****** clue what he is doing and again doesnt seek to blame everyone except himself before a ball is kicked. They are not performing because you have no clue Brewster. If a single win in 5 years (under Charlie Christie in 2006) is your idea of doing well, then you have confirmed you are not the man(ager) for the job. YOUR record against Rangers is HOME: P3 W0 D1 L2 F1 A3 / AWAY: P4 W0 D2 L2 F2 A9 !!!! Totals against Rangers..............HOME: P6 W1 D1 L4 F5 A10/ AWAY: P6 W1 D3 L2 F4 A14 Which makes results ex Brew....HOME: P3 W1 D0 L2 F4 A7/ AWAY: P2 W1 D1 L0 F2 A5 Get this clown out of our club Scotty, just though I'd add comparisson figures

Motherwell -V- ICT : matchday thread
Snooker players, dart players etc all have to have a level of fitness for their sport. They likely go to a gym two or three times a week. What makes them the top in their field is practice and coaching. They dont go onto the table for a wee hit about. They practice every shot or throw. They have onlookers coaching them when shots go wrong. Footballers should be no different. Practice attacking and defending set pieces. Practice ball control under pressure. Practice penalty taking, controlling the flight of the ball. Practice, practice, practice. And have onlookers telling them where they go wrong. Would Ronaldho or Nakamura score such spectacular free kicks it they didn't practice

Munro comments
Its very difficult for Grant to speak out, if he does have anything to say, but surely even he must be embarrassed by this mornings training session..............."after warm up they done some passing, some running then a wee bit shooting b4 a wee 5 aside game". Sounds like a typical pre-match warm up. Can someone point out to me where the 'coaching' in that is.

Boycott the Partick Thistle game?
Thats half the gate reciepts after matchday expenses. If there wasn't enough in the pot to cover the costs the club would be out of pocket.
