it'll never work, it'll never work, it'l
just a touch of realism from a long standing supporter who first watched caley 40 years ago. honest appraisal is more important than blind loyalty and the emotional hysteria of the percieved wonder days of robbo. I may not be quite as old as you but I watched Caley 35 years ago................................but only cos they were playing Thistle. Nowadays I like to be realistic and optimistic about Caledonian Thistle and there is more than enough quality there, with the right leadership, to stay up.

Radio Scotland have just announced
To be fair Robbo's record before wasn't that bad considering we were the new boys in SPL and came into a totally different style of football to what we'd been used to. Yep we lost 5 on the bounce but against Celtic and Hibs at home and away to DU Rangers and Aberdeen. We then started to do very well and had climbed to 9th when he left. The first games of that first season were very much a learning curve and if you speak to some of the players who were here they'll tell you they were shocked by the difference in leagues. Robbo was doing well enough at hearts till Romanov came. Robbo wqasn't going to be a puppet manager for anyone. I like alternatives choice of Robbo and Christie with Barry coaching.

Time now to draw a line.
I see your quest for a purge continues o wizzened one.

Wilson: "Bring Back Robbo"
The club are not jumping into anything without thought. They have advertised the position so its only right and fair that they complete the application process and give potential candidates the opportunity to sell themselves. I think we'll see a Robbo / Wilson partnership.
-
Who's Your Candidate?
What we need is not a quick fix. Think CC and Barry could give us that. What we need is someone with a vision for the future of this club. Someone who'll progress us. Dont see that person among the list.

ICT Players as managers
Tyncastle FC is hardly a management role. If he couldn't fit the bill at Berwick or Forfar then I dont think I'd want him as the No. 1 here. Assistant maybe.

Sack the board?
As most of the board also own the club think it would be difficult to sack them. Who'd do the sacking?

Wilson and Pressley. Robbo as striker coach. Seriously though. One who hasn't been mooted at all but who knows all the players and has done an excellent job with the youths. Alec Clelland

Docked Wages.
Dont know if its actually written into the contract but its a well known and accepted part of being a footballer that fines are a possibility. For our players its probably in the tens or hundreds of pounds. For others it can be in the tens of thousands. When Morais was found guilty of assault he was also fined around ?10k by Hibs. Riordan has experienced such on more than one occassion for getting into bother outside work. Go on the razz night before a game or training and you get fined. Lose your temper and you get fined etc etc. Its the way of football.

U19 Report
In all the furore of the last day or two other matters at TCS seem to have been put to the back burner. A very big well done to the U-19 squad on completing their trip to Turkey undefeated. The last game against the Azerbiajan National U-19 squad. And to Daniel. Get your leg well soon.

Time now to draw a line.
No doubt a lot of folk are tonight dancing in the streets of Inverness. I wish I felt the same but sadly I dont. I feel bad that I found myself in the position of being one of those who called for Brews sacking. I feel bad that things ever came to this stage. I feel bad that Inverness, for the first time, have had to sack someone. More so I feel embarrassed to be associated with some people who couldn't just stick to the on field shortfalls but who also felt the need to hurl personal abuse and attempt to slur the character of the man by continually trying to dig the dirt and latch on to rumour that had absolutely no foundation. Thankfully the vigilance of the moderators kept the dirt off the site. It is a pity that things didn't work out under Craig and Malky. Their faliure just brings about more disruption to what is primarily a very disjointed team. Two or three wins and we'd be top six. They'd be heroes. Alas this is the nature of the beautiful game. They believed they could achieve. The achievement never came. Whether we would have been saved or not we'll never know. Whether we will be saved or not we need to wait and see. What is important now, though, is that everyone starts to pull on the one rope. That we all get behind the team and whoever takes over the reigns. And if that is to be Graham Bennett in the short term then so be it. A new chapter begins on the history of this very young and interesting club. Lets all draw a line under the past and make this chapter worth reading.

What we need is someone who can come in and save us whilst at the same time assess the needs for the future and put a plan in place that will see positive progression over the next five years. Charlie and Barry for me.

21st Century Schizoid Man
The worst thing about the Traynor interview was the fact that the Schizoid admitted to being a once upon a time Airdrie fan.

Brewster Poll
Just looked at Nottingham Forrest results since they changed manager!! Guess what....4 wins in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have not added any players, the same team...just a different manager We changed our manager and went on to winn the last five games of the season. Then we went back to normal. Would a change be for the best. Considering the teams we have to play next I doubt the effect would kick in.

Brew obsessed with having his own team?
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but my recollection is that Brewster was in charge of US when dundee went down. And Brew was told to get rid of the high paid shirkers at DU. Brewster was in charge of us. Who was managing DU then? Ian McCall was at United and Jim Duffy was at Dundee
-
FAO those who think it is too late
I feel that we are now so late into the season that Brewster has the better chance of turning things around than anyone coming in

If we go down..............
Look at the teams who've gone down from the SPL in the past. Only Hibs went straight back up. Dundee have been down for 4 so far. St J 7 I think. St Mirren about 5. same with Falkirk. Not easy to get back up.
