at the game
At 4.55 pm on 29th January 2005 I proceeded from a certain Highland stadium across a carpark where I was confronted by a ten foot fence. Unperturbed, and feeling brave from the alcohol fed to me earlier in the day, I made the assumption that I could climb over the said obstruction. Up, over the top, contact with the ground on the other side. Done it........then the brain comprehended excrutiating pain and told the right foot not to operate any further. I scrambled across the burn on one pin and two hands up to the A9 layby and sat on the ground to await the required NHS minibus. As luck would have it there were big queues on the bridge, among these a 54 seater coach full of Falkirk fans returning from a victory at Dingwall. On realising my plight, and noticing the colours I was wearing I quickly became the added entertainment to thier victory party. Oh and the meat wagon had to go right across the bridge and turn to get at me. The aforementioned date is etched in my memory forever. Return journey to our first ever SPL 'Home' game became a five day holiday in Inverness courtesy of NHS Highland.

Transfers at close of window
We affered Livi ?100k for McPake which was turned down as they value him at ?250k......Watch out in January, he could become a pre-contract if he doesn't extend his contract with him. Also tried to get McCracken from Wycombe but his wage demand was too much. So he has been trying but once again money becomes the stumbling block.

Cowie staying?
Why would Leeds want him? And if they did would he want to play for them? They're wallowing in div 1 and really struggling with debt.

Transfers at close of window
None in or out at ICT Aluka to Aberdeen Canning to Hamilton Bamba and Riordan to Hibs Cousin from Rangers to Hull. Gow on loan to Blackpool Seems to have been a very quiet, low key close of window.

Annual Accounts Released
No....Emoluments are a taxable income and would not include expenses which will be listed elsewhere in the accounts. If that statement sounds familiar it's because I told you the same thing last year Another year older another step towards senility :thumb04:

This is a sore point with me that I intend to write Mr Smith about so I wont go into too much detail here suffice to say that I will be seriously considering where my money goes next season.

Many moons ago I used to travel between Glasgow and Greenock at night. There were trains about every hour right up to midnight so it shouldn't be too bad for you. Only hassle is going between Queen st and Central
