  1. ........................................on ebay A good read
  2. ASDA in Perth have had an affiliation with St. Johnston ever since they aquired a very large piece of prime retail land in exchange for a relatively cheep stadium that was built on a site that the said ASDA now wish they had built their store on.
  3. We shouldn't gloat. We could just as easily find ourselves in that position.
  4. Come on, get real. We all know there wont be any chants on saturday. We're at home remember
  5. Come next summer some on here will likely be questioning why McSwegan hasn't signed an extention yet :001:
  6. Firstly, I think the official site, totally seperate from this and all the other unofficial sites, and run by the club and not a few fans was a must in order to portray to the outside world that we are a modern, professional business worth investing in. Websites nowadays are a big part of the corporate image of companies. I also think it is a good site. The home page is pleasing to the eye, simple to navigate and is free from clutter. The site is in its infancy and Fiona is doing well to develop it. I'm sure that, like the club, it will go from strength to strength. Secondly, I feel just like Harry in that I am embarrassed by some of the posts on this site that are aimed at CC and his competency. Dont see anything against Parkie though. Charlie Christie is doing, and always has done, an excellent job for this club and for people to be questioning his ability six games into a season, just because they dont like a particular signing, is no more than downright insolence. Would some of those people be so brave in their critism's if they were face to face with those they slander instead of hiding behind a computer screen under a psuedonym. I know that players and managers look at those forums and I'm sure the thoughts they have when reading some of the comments must go along the lines of 'what a pathetic support we have'.
  7. The word Bully was a slightly slangy term for Good. The Bully Wee were simply the Good wee Clyde.
  8. CC served alongside Pele, Robbo and Brew. Is that not experience. And for all the Levien fans, if the guy is so good how come he was unemployed and ended up at lowly Raith
  9. 7/1 and 9/5
  10. Reason the arabs were so called, apparently, stems from a multi failed attempt to play a SC tie at Tannadump back around 72. Severe frosts, snow and no US heating. On the morning of the fourth or fifth attempt things didn't look promising so the club brought in hundreds of tonnes of sand during the day to spread over the pitch. The lines were all marked out and the game went ahead. Commentators and players, at the time, likened it to playing in the desert and the nickname 'arabs' was born. Whether thats true or not I don't know but it sounds good.
  11. quote from caleyblue Think after todays result we are above them. quote from sandy Bear in mind the majority of the rest were under 19's
  12. Horses for courses Jock.
  13. This season will not be a struggle but it will be competitive. Six games into the season and there's only ten points difference between top and bottom. And only five points between third and eleventh. The league will be very close between third and the bottom all season. Sadly some folk have us written of already. What sort of supporters are you's. We've lost only two out of our six games. The team in sixth at the moment have lost three games whilst having an easier ride than us. Personally I believe we will achieve a top six finish but even if we do just scrape survival, considering the resources we have and the cr*p turnout for all but a few of our home games, it will be a fantastic result. There is no decent fanbase and there are no million pound investors in the Inverness area that can provide what we need to be consistently up with the top teams so survival will always be success.
  14. Dont know but I'm certainly pleased by the result. Ten quid double ICT / Dundee :021:
  15. I believe the lad had to be resusitated on the park but is now sitting up in a hospital bed with a very sore throat. Very lucky with the expertise and prompt actions of the first aiders by all accounts. And the incident occured as RiG has indicated.
  16. So far, in all games, (cup and league) scorers are as follows: Dargo 2, Tokely 1, Wilson 1, Munro 2, Bayne 2, McAllister 2, Wyness 1 As it stands I'd say it would be very difficult to call this one. Seven games and seven different players have hit the target. My guess would be between Dargo, Bayne and McAllister with Dargo just edging it.
  17. The hair bit based on commonality. Age, a bad guess. And like Mantis say's I never asked how massive you were :015:
  18. I stand corrected once again lad. Its Ian Broadfoots book Going Ballistic that I meant to mention actually. Funnily enough when Ian launched his book I went to ask him to sign a copy for me and mistakenly called him Charles. I've edited my mistake on first post
  19. Can tell a lot about someone from their posts. This thread is started by a female, 18 - 25 age group, brunette with blond streaks, lives around Caithness, is not native to Scotland and enjoys top class football so is prepared to make the journey down the A9 to see a class team. If you get a chance drop by the stadium shop and pick up a copy of Charles Bannermans book, 'Against all Odds', for all you need to know about the formation of the club. Or Ian Broadfoots 'Going Ballistic' for the last ten years. Edited to correct mistake as highlighted by caleyboy
  20. Truth is Mackem's haven't a clue how to get to the north side of Newcastle
  21. Its not so long since people were questioning the appointment of the injury prone Craig Dargo, with similar words with regard to the ability of our manager at the time. Now we're greetin if he's linked to another club. Give the people a chance and wait and see if the signing is good or bad.
  22. Agree he should have been more careful against Faroes but last nights booking was just an absolute farce and showed that referee's across europe are all the same. Anyway, six points and eight goals from two games. Bring on the French :005:
  23. Their keeper was gash but we did play really well for the first half. The second half we showed very little interest. Probably because there was no answer from the Faroes. Craig Gordan handled the ball once in the whole game. Wednesday, against hearts, will be a different game but if we can keep up the performance of saturdays first half then we should do ok. I believe we have a good chance of qualifying cos I think Lithuania, France and Italy will trip each other up. Incidently, guy sitting next to me at Parkhead was moaning about having to get his tickets from ICT so I turned my dual purpose scarf. The one with Scotland on one side and ICT on the other. Turns out the guy was a gudgie. He shut up after that :003:
  24. Two points I'd like to make: 1. I've only been in Diggers once, in our first season, and was actually directed to the family room by the doorman. Presumably in some form of segregation. 2. The majority of visiting supporters use Diggers so the problem must surely arise every other week. Visiting fans use Diggers, partly because its child friendly, but mainly because some of the other pubs around the area dont allow visiting fans. Robbo's pub being one of those. This gentleman is unhappy, what about the many visiting fans who are unhappy at the way they are made to feel totally unwelcome when visiting the Gorgie area. At least at the Leith end of the city I have always been made to feel welcome.
  25. I can answer to three of the four clues above. :015:
