What happened in the other 1% of games

There are people who know Bennett and dont like him. There are people who dont know him but dont like him. Thats a matter for folks opinions. As far as I'm concerned, on the few occassions I've had opportunity to chat with the guy, he's come across as being a decent honest person. My understanding is that he raised the cash to buy the social club on the strength of a private pension. Yes he owns the club, and possibly takes a wage out of it, but that could easily become a non viable business and he could be left with a building that nobody wants. On the other hand he could make a vast profit out of it. Who knows. Enough of defending the man. I am more concerned by why he has decided to drop out. Is he trying to maintain the stability but others want to risk it? Are there board members who want us to break from our current spending control in order to do what other clubs have done to try and buy success? If one person leaves the board because he believes the mix is wrong then I want to know what the wrong is. Bear in mind that Grazza's not the first, in recent times, to resign their directorship.

Why the fell in obsession. There's been more posts about him since he dumped us than there has been in all the time he worked for us. Time to forget and move on.

If memory serves there was a couple of names being voted onto the board. I find it a bit worrying that there could be unrest at board level while we are sitting high in the league and reporting profit. Graeme has never struck me as being someone who'd walk away. He loves the club. He put his own finances at risk to keep the club out of debt by borrowing against his pension fund. There has to be something not right in the boardroom and to me that's a worry.

They should still be able to play as a div 2 club.

Christie was manager when Niculae was signed in july 07. He resigned in August 07 so wasn't the manager when all the furore occured. I'm also inclined to think that the signing may have helped Charlies decision to quit.

I would say that compensation wouldnt be an issue. Alloa have already stated they wouldnt stand in the way. Dont know who has a holiday home. Robertson has a home. Although I quite like the guy I'm apprehensive about going backwards.

We managed before without a scout and we'll manage again. We got compensation for Marsella and Malpass. Had a new manager come in and decided they were not his type then they'd have been gone anyway.

One of the things that bug me, both on this site and official, is that the squad list doesnt say who the captain is. I presume we have a vice-captain as well.

To be honest I dont believe the attendance will be anything like last year at ER. If I recall correct the hearts fans made a big effort to show hibs they could outnumber hibs fans at ER. Will they make that effort again especially considering their team this time is playing a lot worse than they were then. As for tv whats the problem with BBC using one of the two channels that dont normally transmit during the day.

Hope he doesn't get gobbled up in all the hype.
