  1. The Compliance Officer has issued the following Notice of Complaint: Alleged Party in Breach: Leigh Griffiths (Celtic FC) Date: 30th March 2014 Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached: Disciplinary Rule 86: Not acting in the best interests of Association Football by singing in public about Heart of Midlothian FC in administration. Principal hearing date: Thursday, 24th April 2014 Rule 86: A recognised football body, club, official, Team Official, other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall, at all times, act in the best interests of Association Football . Furthermore such person or body shall not act in any manner which is improper or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour. I'm thinking some upstart official is just looking at the first part of rule 86. At the end of the day Griffiths should not be letting himself get into situations where controversy prevails.
  2. Tansey scored the last one before today.
  3. Watkins on for Raven??
  4. All I can think is we need a team for U-20 game tomorrow
  5. .................for wrong reasons. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2565&newsCategoryID=1&newsID=13206
  6. Think I'd rather take a chance on Curtis Allan than Watkins up front
  7. He's saying there's no Foran, Doran, Meekings or Tansy so if you get a start make sure its a good one. Consolation is no McFadden or Carswell for the steelers
  8. Wouldn't bank on Foran being available
  9. IMO even if we do better between now and the end of the season, the downturn since Hughes arrived should not be swept under the carpet, unless you believe saying 'at least we were not THAT bad' is considered good enough? Besides, all comparisons with last season are only fair if you think we did as well as we could've possibly done and that Terry Butcher was still the right man for the job post Barnsley cock-up. Do you think last years run-in is the level we should be aiming for or do you think we are capable of more? I think we have surpassed last seasons success. We are still top six and we reached a cup final. That has to be seen as a better season than last considering there are only three or four teams in this league that could be construed as being on a level with us. The others are way superior in their financial ability to attract a better squad of players.
  10. Agree with above. We have played two games a week since our Scottish Cup QF and tiredness has to be a factor. There's also not enough time between games for proper coaching. Everything is more about game preparation. Have those guys even had a day of in that time?
  11. Is that those that wing or those that winge.
  12. Craig Thompson. 31 games this season 110 yellows and 4 reds. I think one of the better refs. He's officiated at three of our games this season and given us 5 yellows in total.
  13. Another comparisson. Looking at our last 10 games this season we've Won 3 Drawn 3 and lost 4. For the ten games at the same time last season we'd won 3 drawn 4 and lost 3. These are league games only. Not really much difference. Lets just see how the run in over the final 7 games compares. Last season was 2 wins 1 draw and 4 losses.
  14. Not even Ross Jack and unlikely to in future considering Jack has been away from Elgin since january.
  15. 29th March 2014 OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT Cove Rangers Football Club announce that they have accepted Kevin Tindal’s letter of resignation with immediate effect. Kevin has given the Football Club almost ten years’ service as a player, captain and most recently as manager. The football club would like to thank him for his hard work and efforts over the years and wish him all the very best in the future. In the interim period, Roy McBain and Graeme Mathieson will take on all football matters. Applicants are now being invited to apply for the managerial position and can be made by contacting club secretary, Duncan Little by email at [email protected]
  16. Could we get Black Isle Brewing to sponsor us and in return some of us could volunteer to be product testers free of charge.
  17. Brill Raven, Warren, Devine, Shinnie Watkins, Draper, Christie, Ross Tansey Mckay I kind of think maybe Ross would be better behind Mckay though
  18. The question now is: How well can we finish and how high can we get. Already we've achieved more than we did last season so that has to be seen as improvement.
  19. Except this time it wont be so easy with Hearts and Rangers in the mix.
  20. Foam shoes to save the fans having to take their own shoes of at match
  21. Only nineteen so far this season...........
  22. Following his tantrum after being sent off last week, and subsequently recieving a six match ban, he has been released by Falkirk.
  23. No longer available for Scotland after sustaining kidney damage in game the other day. Expected to be in hospital for at least another week. Apart from Marshall there's not much available as replacement.
  24. The only problem I see with that is the opposition would quickly figure it out and combat it. There's no option to switch play to the other side,
  25. First of a thank you to Peter Paul for the tickets to get in last night. Would have been a sore one if I'd paid to see that. I dont know how easy it would be for Esson to step in but I do think Brill would benefit from a wee rest. The sharpness he displayed in first half of season just isn't there at the moment. At times last night we played quite well. We won plenty of ball and we strung together some good passing but then a misplaced one or a lump it forward just gave the ball away again. Stupid schoolboy errors and a lack of forward thinking cost us the game. DU didn't play well but they capitalised on our mistakes. They kept things tight and we just didn't have any idea's to combat them. We have to get back to using the whole pitch. To running at opponents and to making movement of the ball. I dont think we're in a bleak position and we'll likely win a few of our remaining games but I do think we now need to forget about europe and just concentrate on getting the best finish in the league. I that means resting regulars and starting fringe players and youngsters then thats what needs to be done.
