  1. Kenny Shiels is not outspoken. Kenny Shiels is a man who calls it as he sees it. A one man protest against bad refereeing. Against a bad running of Scottish football and against a bad establishment in general. He became frustrated at the way the smaller team was being treated. he became frustrated at the way the big two dominated the game and controlled the establishment. Unfortunately, the press were always on the side of the big two so they endeavoured to bring the guy down. Kenny Shiels is passionate about football and even more passionate about the job he does. He wants to see a level playing field for all. Not outspoken, just saying it as he sees it. That said he would not be my choice. Some of our best times came about by blooding inexperienced managers and there are two or three guys out there who I believe have this club in their blood and who would do a job for us.
  2. No disrespect to izzy but can we forget those people and move on to a new chapter please.
  3. To be fair Dougal he did indicate in his letter that the venue was biased towards Hearts. I also believe Davy's preference is for Pittodrie. Mine would be McDairmid but no matter where I cant make it anyway. Davie, can I suggest you put link on p&B and all the other forums out there> I'm sure many fans of other clubs sympathise with our situation and would support the petition.
  4. The club have objected to this. I believe they, and CIT, are looking at what can be done transport wise.
  5. I don't think so tbh Alex as he's overage. He did tell someone on twitter that the overage players are having to take turns in the U20s to get games. Agree re Conor tho... My mistake re. Curtis
  6. I just wish every thread that mentions the B word would fall of the bottom of the page.
  7. I'm sure Curtis Allen was brought in specifically for U-20 squad. Conor has been on the bench the last couple of games. We also have to remember that we are running a very successful U-20 squad, who are working very hard to stay at the top of that league, and it would be very wrong to expect those lads to play twice a week.
  8. 200k for a striker that cant strike.
  9. SHEERIN & WILSON
  10. There's no sense whatsoever in the choice of venue for both semi's but thats how it is so lets make the most of it. Also remember that Hibs fans never stole Butcher so we should be nice to them in hope some will turn up at the game and boost our crowd and the takings.
  11. Nichol is a decent coach but I see him out of a job once again.
  12. Fekkin hell this tie is tight
  13. I wonder how many of our squad feel exactly the same way about Butcher and how he left as our ex chairman does.
  14. Only if your just a simple cook. If your a master baker you create the cake without the recipe and using what ingredients are available.
  15. No ta!! Would have to take too much of a drop in wages. Besides I'm making it my quest to find out who abducted your alias. What was it anyway?............Terry Butcher??
  16. Agree with ubern. £150 a year is pretty steep.
  17. I keep reading that the Bookies favourite is Levein yet on searching all the sites I cant find odds. I want to put my cash on Peanut
  18. Because the host website 'VIMEO' is American
  19. Nice bit of photoshop but not particularly funny
  20. Ach well, he's gone now. That era is over a new one now begins. Time to move on and let this thread fall of the page.
  21. Has Foran got coaching badges to allow him the helm? Larsson??? His one foray as manager ended in a relegation fight. he's been away from Scotland too long to be able to walk in and take over a top flight team. Levein in my opinion plays a different style to what we have and would probably fekk us up. If I was on the board at TCS I'd suggest talking Charlie and Duncs into the job till end of season. They know the players and the style of football so should be able to provide continuity. Failing that, or instead of that, I'd look to bringing in a couple of former players. Players who put their heart and soul into the club when they played for us. Sheerin and Wilson between them could, I think, continue the work B&M started.
  22. Personally I wouldnt want Levein. His style of play is not ours and I think he'd mess up what we have in place. Dont know too much about Sturrock. I've already suggested McInnaly but another I wouldnt mind is Yogi Hughes. He done well at Falkirk and was trying to do good at Hibs but didn't get the chance. He likes on the ground football and did have a young Hibs team playing good football. They just weren't getting the results. There are also one or two out there with ICT in their hearts who could maybe do a job for us. Barry Wilson. Paul Sheerin could be another shout. At the end of the day our board has never failed in its management selection. (apart from the once we took someone on for a second stint)
  23. Dont think we have a Director of Football Was he not quoted as saying to one of the papers that he'd be here till the end of season. Its easy to feel bitter by whats gone on over the last few days but I think we should give credit where its due. We always knew Butcher would be taken away from us. Indeed many on here linked him to every vacancy that arose over the last couple of years. He has, however, left a legacy. He has shown that, even with small budgets, a team of our status can reach the dizzy hieghts of Scottish Football. We can all believe that anythings possible. We fear no team. We know we can beat any team. We know we can achieve all we want to achieve. The secret now is to continue to achieve. Butcher gave ICT the team. Butcher gave the fans the belief. Lets all get together and show the world that ICT can continue to be a force without Butcher.
