Terry Butcher has been given time and he's achieved something at Inverness akin to what he done at Motherwell. Low fanbases, low budget, lots of youngsters etc. At both clubs he has taken all those on board and built successful teams. He's gone to places where there was money to spend, where there was meddling chairmen and where there was decent fanbases and he's failed. To me Terry is someone who gets his satisfaction from taking youngsters and making them footballers, with the help of a few experienced players, Someone who can, given time, mould a player into his system. I think that is the aspect of the game he loves and the proof is after a game we have won. Terry is elated and unafraid to display his emotions. Unafraid to stick out his chest in a 'thats my boys' kind of way. Thats his way, thats his type of players and thats where he's most successful. Terry Butcher would not be happy at a big club with wads of cash to spend on players.
  3. Certainly in Spain there are very few travelling fans. The distance and times of games put most off. Example distance from Madrid to Barcelona is probably close on 400 miles each way and most Spanish games kick off at 8pm on a Sunday night. I do like this story though http://www.sport360.com/blog/just-one-away-fan-sees-udinese-win-sampdoria
  4. You are sounding like Derek Adams! A great comeback well done to get a point from United Who is sounding like Derek Adams? I am in another country with no access to any comentary or video or such like so I asked a question on here. I'll rephrase it so you may understand better. Why was there five minutes added on? Did someone get injured or what?
  5. Thought maybe thats where you disappeared to when you stopped coming to see us in the Innes
  6. Forsooth the chicken will lay the golden egg. The mighty will shine in the light of a billion candles and the great unwashed will forever cower in the shadow cast over the island of black
  7. If he is then our club will be a million or two richer.

The unwashed people of the Global No Energy Arena, complete with Wendy house, nestling in the shadow of the countries largest traveller camp, Dingwall, see the opportunity to be giant killers in a league match against the spotlight doused might of fortress Longman.
  9. Holsten Pils? Holsten is Hamburg. The Czech's were the first to brew pilsner. Cant remember what the local Prague one was but its good. Holsten, Beck's Stella etc are all pilsner lagers. Now if only we could get one of them to sponsor us!!!
  10. A draw against C*unt* is hardly form.
  11. Good lord Mee, have you returned to the fold or were you in the County end
  12. Hahahahaha.....alright....which one of you Inverness playing erses is on the fekkin windup.
  13. Betcha Dargo never scored so many in so few games though
  14. He was in the NI U-21 squad
  15. Perhaps being born and brought up in England has something to do with it
  16. I doubt there are 50,000 Invernessians in Inverness. I know two from Dundee. I know a couple from Nairn. Some from Dingwall. There are also Weegies and other central belters. And of course Polish, Romanian, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani's and a miriade of other nationalities. 100-200 is a reasonable turnout away from home ten days before christmas, considering the cost of an awayday. That said I only caught the last few minutes of BBC live text cos of having to do some work. Said there that the pen was for a handball and Foran booked for dissent. Where did the five mins of added time come from? Three down after 8 minutes and yet we still take the lead against one of the better teams in the league. I think that says a helluva lot for the grit and determination of this squad. No heads going down. Just dust ourselves down, get on with the job and get a result. I'll wager that every player on our team today is gutted by the final result, more especially Richie, but I say to each and every one of them, Keep doing what you are doing and the results will fall into place. Another 4 goals for and a hat-trick for Billy (now top of SPL score list I think) has to say lots for the character of this team and, regardless of having lost 4 goals, the belief and commitment of the manager and his assistants. Well done on a very good result away from home lads.
  17. This seasons No 1 chant has to be 'The Highlands are Ours'. Next season against a French team 'Europe is Ours' Europe is Ours' You Sheep Burning B***ards, 'Europe is Ours' If playing Spaniards its, 'We sunk your Armada' For German team its, 'A Jock Sunk your Bismark' (For the young and those with no interest in history the Jock in question was Commander George Dalrymple-Hamilton who commanded HMS Rodney, one of the battleships responsible for the sinking of Germany's flagship battle cruiser Bismark)
  18. Why stop at ST holders. How about cheap tickets for cup games if you can produce two or three of the previous home game ticket stubs.
  19. Or on it as the case may be
  20. Can't be all bad, he gave us a pen
  21. Alex MacLeod replied to Naelifts's topic in Caley Thistle
Dont think many pubs close on 1st never mind 2nd. As for cup tickets I just cant see a big rush for the last few of the 20,250 seats available even if Hearts took 15,000 down the Leith Walk. Quite sure there'll be PAG.
  22. Tokely must have won. Adams has a new job And the camera never lies.
  23. If there was a league for top football forum sites P&B would be at the bottom. Once the domain of St Mirren fans its turned to Hearts/Hibs rivalry on every thread of every forum.
  24. I'm not as fixated as CD and AJS about the treble. In fact I'd say no to the league championship and instead venture gently into European football with a Europa cup place. The two domestic cups are a must though.
  25. The police will have studied video footage of the Dingwall game. They have all the faces on tape. They will likely have disctetely videod the North stand last league game. They may not have seen who threw the smoke flares but they will have matched faces from the general area of where it came from with same faces in section E so they targeted that area. This has nothing whatsoever to do with the club or creating atmosphere. This is to do with police investigation into a criminal offence that took place in front of their noses. Some may well say its not a heinous crime but more a bit of fun. It is a criminal offence punishable by the courts to carry and discharge any such items within a football stadium in Britian. If those who think its just fun want to continue taking their chances and they get caught and convicted who are they going to run to in years to come when they find their employment prospects etc somewhat curtailed by having to disclose that conviction. I'm not going to read through every comment on this thread because after the first page I can see how it will petre out suffice to say that if this club gets disciplined in any way for the actions of a few idiots then the majority who ask for areas to create atmosphere and be able to stand together as they did in Dingwall will not get my support.
