  1. And is anyone surprised ? Do we all back sevco now in their fantasy quest to bring down mr Doncaster ?
  2. It was a fantastic distraction while it lasted, but a fantasy is all it was. Time to prepare for the football to come, whenever that might be.
  3. Tbh Walsh hasn't been close to the level he hit last season, injuries aside it's been rather dissapointing. If we aren't offering positions to at least a couple of the youngsters then we really have go wonder what our development budget has been spent on...none of the names listed are fresh out of the youths, all have been involved at first team level or out on loan. IF Trafford leaves who will you sponsor next year Alan ?
  4. In all honesty there will be a greater need for reconstruction after this crisis as we pick up with less clubs/more players for the league formats that are currently in place.
  5. IF it wasn't the clubs decision, or perhaps a mutual agreement then...it might just be the sign of the times. We can't move forward to a younger squad and keep our top earners and stay afloat with no idea when we will have the money to pay them. Maybe he has received better offers, there is sure to be something on the table for him, and I wouldn't rule out going across the bridge either. Its not far to drive.
  6. This came out a week ago with regards to the 14-14-14 and no promotion to the bottom tier - unless they yield this kills the reconstruction.
  7. That many.
  8. The drop in numbers never fails to amaze me, stomach turning stuff. You can throw a lot of criticism at the club for marketing the football team and customer service etc, but a lot of it is just down to the fact that people are just bloody strange .
  9. Think they just need to finish the season now. Can’t believe they are still arguing about it, if they let this drag on any longer it just increases the risk of clubs going to the wall.
  10. Polworth was a good player for us, but became frustrated as the team got weaker , it stands to reason that in a better team where he wasn’t the focal point of every attack (Motherwell) he would get back to his form of a few years ago, when he used to score goals too. Never aware of the alleged abuse at games, tho I did see him react to crowd comments and also attack someone in the dugout one day. Jordan is just Jordan , tried hard but never really cut the mustard, whoever was making the passes. Seen some fine forwards at the stadium over the years, I’ll enjoy the memories of some of these guys.
  11. These ones seem very familiar.
  12. Dear dear Nicola why didn’t you use you’re polished and honest face , along with devolved powers to act sooner on social distancing & large gatherings rather than just shadow Boris and his crew. A 25 page report stating the obvious things about not relaxing lockdown measures that were too slowly implemented. Wonderful. They’ll be converting a large conference centre into a hospital next.
  13. He's improved whilst in the team, and I think he needs to keep playing to maintain his form - only problem is he's maybe not first choice from our full squad available. One of our more direct players though, and likes a tackle.
  14. So little bait, so many bites. Strange Days indeed as Mr Morrison once said.
  15. The reward for those frontline people mentioned above is only part of the solution, the other important part is the way investment needs to be used in the best way possible , with some proactive rather than reactive action planning - which is where we find ourselves in this current crisis. Despite the sterling effort by our health professionals we are on trajectory for huge numbers of fatalities, partly due to our various governments approach to covid 19, and might even end up with the worst figures in Europe. It's difficult to compare us with Germany in many respects, but the way they have systematically stuck to high levels of testing, along with tracing and quarantine shows what can be done. Also worth noting, closer to home is the particularly high numbers for Scotland, which although a lot of it is related to the central belt ,it can possibly be an indicator of the poor levels of general health in the region which hasn't been addressed by successive governments... So our army of staff, on the frontline of the fight could do even more and be less at risk themselves if those in charge were more capable at leading from the top.
  16. What year was that proposal from?
  17. Unless it's fans singing too loud, offensive banners or using smoke bombs UEFA will prove to be as effective as the chocolate fireguard. Corruption and voting irregularities are a touchy subject within UEFA in recent years.
  18. Would've said it was a long afternoon followed by a great evening...not our best display in a final, considering the players at our disposal. Just glad the sun shone on us at the end, poor Falkirk, they really shoulda finished us off.
  19. Fat lot of good that did them then.
  20. Another spanner in the works for the season tickets with talk of league reconstruction. Even if there is no reconstruction ( quite possible ) the delay will still affect the organisation of fixtures etc. All this on top of covid crisis and financial distress all round.
  21. ...and those in charge of this task force for reconstruction (self preservation) are...representing the two clubs at the bottom of the premiership. You couldn't make it up, no one would believe it.
  22. Aye it is a pub league right enough, surprised Sky are still willing to pump new investment in...but then if its their money then they will call the shots.
  23. Could they not just have created a Whatsapp group, like the championship clubs used to look at each other's votes? Email is so 20th century.
  24. Unless Dundee pull their finger out and inform the spfl board (again) then it looks like the collusion between those involved has come to nothing. Is it good to be open and honest about posting each other's voting slips so as to engineer a desired outcome in these matters?
  25. De Barros' strike showing what was promised when we signed him, unfortunately he was one of those players who managed to hit the woodwork more often than the net behind. Our first team of legends.
