    Scoreline flattered hibs in the end, although the gulf was obvious - fitness , technique & game management - from early on. Bit of a no win situation as we didn't want a replay and a backs to the wall one nil victory was unlikely and wouldn't have given the same entertainment that all the reaction on here has. So we draw a line under this year's Scottish, and get back to the league... Morton home, Alloa away, Queens home, Arbroath away, Partick home and Dundee home.... The previous results against Alloa, Arbroath and Partick this season means to get anything from these six games before the cup final, we have to rip up the form book from our earlier meetings and really do a number on them. Robertson will in particular have to out think Campbell & McCall who have made us look amateur already this year. So the fixtures on 14th & 17th will be crucial. Beware the Ides of March.

    It's only hibs. Not really 'deadly attacking prowess' more like taking advantage of a ropey highland back line.

    Oh but it does, we've been game but naive...our full backs have been attacking all night and constantly missing when hibs counter...and our passing has been poor.

    Do programmes fetch much on the market? I have gathered quite a lot over the years and should probably get a list together of what I have. Might soften the blow in my retirement years..

    Agreed, need to stay as high as we can in the league & try to pick a team for friday that gives a good account against hibs whilst avoiding running our first 11 into the ground.

    Unfortunately, another year has passed and lack of game time means Harper/McGregor and the others still fall into the high risk replacements category. Shame really, we should have brought their development on more than we have.

    This stinks a bit no? SFA have got their lawyers involved to find a way to reopen the case due to this 'mistake' which has timeously come to light... They have caved in to pressure, that is all, and likely they have fabricated a story to dig themselves out of the poop.

    ...and when they have dropped points so have we - they have played without pressure all season and with a lethal finisher up front. Last night was entertaining but highlighted the gulf, between an average team with Shankland, and the rest. Unless we can raise our game ( like we did against the tinks last year) in every game from now we might slip onto 3rd, 4th or lower.

    3 weeks out, according to club site...Lucky it wasn't metatarsal after all, that would be a season ender.

    Well in this case the ref made it harder for us by his inept performance. Lucky your buddy wandered in off his wing to trundle one past the baby Huns.

    Controversial. JR seemed to remember him being crap with one of our previous games as well, made a point of naming him...guess he'll be getting fined then.

    How far are we prepared to risk our first choice 11 for the chocolate cup, with league and Scottish cup fixtures coming up next. Management needs to rotate the squad cleverly, with some of the benchwarmers getting game time.

    I could understand/agree with that sentiment if they were playing Alloa or Raith, but us...? We're not exactly known for flooding our team with youth. ...and then there is our unofficial Colts team to the south west...

    To be fair, a lot of that season was forgettable, and judging by the crowd - 3000 for a quarter final between that years SPL whipping boys - the fans felt pretty much the same.

    Bit of a throwback to clashes from the second division days, plenty passion & effort from all. Thought we did well to limit them in the First half - they didn't use the wind advantage at all. Not pretty at times but definitely kept the cold st bay for a change.

    Should be, but they should have been motivated for a lot of games and it hasn’t always looked like it come game day.
