  1. Bayne and Hart were never good enough.

Read an interview with him, talks about spending a lot of money following Caley Thistle and that its an honour to play for his club. Don't think we've actually had a dyed in the wool ICT fan in the squad before.

I wouldn't ditch it per say, but the blatant lack of organisation that goes into one of Granty's long throws is our undoing. It's obvious that the team don't actually work on this in training the way other teams succesful with the long throw do. For example, nobody goes short to drag a defender away from the melting pot, and nobody parks themselves at the edge of the box for when the ball gets cleared. A bit more organisation, and it could be a useful little weapon.
  4. Agree with both those points.
  5. My understanding (and I would genuinely love to be corrected) is that the SUSD campaign has stagnated over the last couple of years. Fair play to Buffy and co, and I will have no quams signing the petition, but standing at top level football will never return. Don't know why Dunfermline should have any issue though, pretty sure there's no rule against them having a terrace?
  6. It's like a balloon deflating
  7. Aberdeen were fourth last term
  8. Where did I say he wasn't?
  9. Our midfield's best preformances of the season have been when Duncan has been deployed in the holding role. In a 5 man midfield we simply cannot do without him.
  10. Just out of interest, why do you think United are moe likely to stay up then Aberdeen.

These days on internet forums, people seem to take disagreeing with them as a personal insult and hit back with some form of personal abuse.
  12. Chelsea did it reuguarly under Mourinho. I'm not suggesting that we should, just pointing out that it can be done to great effect.
  13. People will no doubt shoot me down and post lots of nice sarcastic emotions, but IMO Brewsters squad is still gelling. I have said from the start he must have until December, this is the first time he has really been able to do things, the way he wants them done, with a combination of new players in, and old players out. As a player, there were few so tactically aware as Brewster, and although some times things baffle me, other times I see a much more aw,are team then we ever had under Christie. Rooney and Barrowman have both shown me enough to suggest that they are SPL quality and once they get going our strikeforce should be ok, while for the first time since Brewster arrived, I am actually (Ibrox debacle aside) feeling quite confident about the defence. Have faith folks, Brewster may not be your choice, but there is no point doing anything but supporting him and the team.

The player that works hardest in training.
  16. I believed. People laughed at me. Bah
  17. Perhaps it was becos all the loud mouthed pissheads were at the turnstiles ? I wouldn't follow a Senior team. Might go along and watch Deveronvale, but probably just put most of my time into Scotland. Carry a quote over from another thread? ;) Aren't you clever :thumb04: :018:
  18. Yup, Hibs have never beaten us up here, and have only ever scored 1 competitive goal.
  19. Pretty sure that up until yesterday, we had not scored in 4 consecutive games at ER.

  21. That came through quiet and clear on the radio today. well done to both sets of supporters. unlike elsewhere where a minute's applause had to be observed to drown out those who would disrupt it. Well maybe things are not so clear cut, and maybe some among that support would have little cause to celebrate the memory of lost British soldiers, who until very recently had been considered an occupying, enemy force. We no doubt all have relatives who have died in wars, and we honour them, but other people's experiences are not necessarily the same as ours. And of course half of Glasgow's citizens dont have relatives who died in war. And no soldier of the Irish Rifles was killed either. This rememberance is about reflecting on those who fought to protect the Islands of Britian and Ireland and should have nothing to do with anything else. Spot on
  22. Its a sad state of affairs when I have to congratulate a support on keeping quiet during a minutes silence, however as per usual with our fans, it was observed impecabely.
  23. Second best Pittodrie was louder.
  24. Esson - As per everything IHE says :003: :thumb04: :018: ;) Hastings - Back to his best, everything he needed to do, tackled, and gave the ball to the more creative players, rather then looking for the Hollywood pass everytime. :015: :D :P Rosscoe - Effing solid, terrific going forward, commanding at the back. :021: :D :D :D :D Munro - Solid :D :D :D Proctor - Solid :D :D :D Imrie - Full of energy, and some nice touches. :D :D :D :D Cowie - Class today, bloddy class, but stuck on the wrong wing. :D :D :D :D Duncan - Did all the dirty work today, excellent preformance, always knows when danger is brewing :D :D :D :D Black - Usual preformance, played the game at his own pace. :D :D :D :D Vigurs - Oozed class, it's been a long time since we have had a midfielder that can split a defence with the flick of one boot. In fact scrap that, the boy is two-footed :D :D :D :D :003: Wood - Worked his socks off, and gave Jones a horrible afternoon, however still haven't seen enough to merit starting him as the lone striker :003: :003: :003:
