  1. Wonder if Mr. Skelton fancies highland life, he's a decent player?
  2. Forget the footie Mr Bingham Legend, Rocky Mountain Way forever!
  3. Ronaldo replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
If our manager has made mistakes I'm sure he can learn from them and move on. One big mistake, I think, was not playing himself, but that would have been a very difficult decision for him to make. Perhaps he put faith in a team he didn't know as well as he thought?
  4. yes, to hearts players and one proved to be fatal
  5. well it wasn't me? I kept encouraging my team even when we went 3-0 down like many others, strange remark? So were not even playing pretty football either? oh dear things aren't looking good then. We do play some nice passes across the box back and fore quite often perhaps that is what is being referred to, when we should be shooting at the oppostion goal, the thing with the white posts usually in front of you. Shooting that's what's missing, but we know that already.
  6. Let's forget all the pretty passing sfuff and have some good old route one footbal with some goals. Quite franky Iam getting fed up hearing/ reading what nice football we play, it's goals that matter we can save the football for a rainy day.
  7. Here Here, sign him quick and if he turns out no good nothing ventured, etc.
  8. I sometimes wonder if we have any strikers and could this be the real reason we don't score many goals? In my opinion Denzil is the only natural goal scorer we have and for various reasons he has not played every week. Every team must have one in their starting line up and that is something we have not done. In my opinion, Marius, although I think he is a fabulous footballer is not a "goalscorer" They're born.
  9. I think we should have nabbed Deucher long ago, but I suspect our chance has gone
  10. Are the "highlights" any longer than the 1min 45 last week, that must be a record?
  11. What I am asking myself is where is the logic of a long ball game on a dodgy pitch? Surely the man with the ball has the advantage, if you know what I mean, a team of Jimmy Johnstone's is what we should have had?
  12. You're right Rich and I'm happy to contradict myself slightly by agreeing that a 4-5-1 might work at home but not with Marius as the "1" bit, as he is not a target man. I, personally, would play Marius and Denzil together and leave them for long enough to form a partnership, as they are both clever players and I'm sure this would bear fruit.
  13. You surely have to question playing 4-5-1 at home?
  14. This is a good post, I think our play from set pieces is generally very poor and often wonder how much time is spent on the training ground on free kicks and corners, obvioulsly not enough?
  15. We should be applauding them doing well, just like our other northern neighbours who did well last night against Bayern Munich
  16. I predict a penalty on Sat and a scrap and a half for the ball!
  17. I think there are many reading this topic will generally agree with the point SMEE is making.
  18. You're bang on doofer, please correct me if i'm wrong but I think we "set the bar" at a level around what we paid for him by saying something silly along the lines of we must get our money back at least. If we had initially said you want Rankin, who's an established premier league player, he will cost you ?220k. Who's to say we would not have settled for 150K? One could certainly argue this was not a clever piece of business. I cringed when I heard our "opening " remarks when buyers were first looking.
  19. This is a good question, I thought Rangers were very flat on Sunday and were there for the beating. Two strikers would have done the job nicely, but then we would have only had four in midfield and perhaps then and ......
  20. Good stuff DT reading your match report felt like I was actually there (without the cold bits!)
  21. sorry CMIB, my response was to previous entry
  22. Oh dear we're back here again. Personally I think it's time we picked on some of the other imposters in the team and leave our old friend Rosco alone this week, any takers? At least he tries to get forward more than others, that's for sure. Ok he's not perfect does make some mistakes, but that's why they put rubbers on the end of pencils. His performances generaly, in my opinion, are still good. And when he goes forward others can see and cover it, that's what being in a team "team" is about. I'll do you a deal, as I like to think I'm an honest man, when I think Rosco has stopped performing I'll be the first to let you know. In the meantime, he can be our new centre forward AKA Lee Wilkie!
  23. His performance today raised no concerns with me.
  24. John Rankin says he's had enough has agreed to sign for Clach for 4p and a mars bar.
