What always impresses me is his timing in the air when he jumps. Having seen the highlights his header was top drawer and quite far out too (in more ways than one!) He has indeed become a class act and will improve further, sign him long term now.

I am convinced Bill Dodds' run of correct result predictions for ICT will end tomorrow by the simple law of averages
  3. Having Hastings just scored, I think we should swap our defenders for attackers on Sat and have a front four. At this rate I predict Grant Munro will be our top scorer this season?!
  4. Having looked at the team a few times to work out the tactic, it could certainly be described as a "physical" team, is the plan to knock them into the Clyde?
  5. I agree very strongly with Kingsmills here, get the game won then change the team. I would play the best players available tonight from the start and nothing less. Was there not a lesson learned in the last round?
  6. I'd give him no.9 for a game, don't laugh, he could be a real handful for a defence......sometimes?
  7. It's the team for Saturday I am more concerned about
  8. Footballer in charity parachute jump ends in disaster
  9. The solution is to "shoot" into the home support in the first half and get the noise going. We often start brightly so this may work. I am as fed up as everybody else at not seeing any goals at all virtually at this end, quite stagerring really. Worth a try?
  10. This is a very good question. I would keep Jamie in and bring back Grantie at the expense of another defender.
  11. You can be confused tomorrow as well if you want, fine by me.
  12. If RD's fit I would put him straight back in the team. My resoning being, that I would dread to be watching any game where he was required as a sub?! I actually like RD (sometimes) and I mean no disrespect whatsoever. reasoning.... yes that's the word
  13. no, my brolly you idiot, it's about to rain....

Was this not a case of having faith in the squad, ok the plan almost failed but that's how I saw it? I'm sure lessons have been learnt
  15. hear hear Scotty. more bums on seats It's hardly rocket science??

As Hibs are so attacking wouldn't surprise me to see 4-5-1 again and try and hit them on the break, although I would much prefer 4-4-2 CB was not too keen to change his winning team very much, which is understandable, but will he change the loosing one? Whatever the team it is vital that we turn our truly shocking home form and perfomances around and give us all something to shout about.
  17. Yes RIG good point!
  18. Duff to remain for sure, as others have said will affect his confidence next time he plays if not. And he had a decent game otherwise, he's entilted to keep his place if Granty does not return. Lets go 4-3-3 against hibs, they'll be to busy keeping the ball out of their own box, not itme to get it into ours!

In reply to Mr Bronson's post (and what Scotty added too) I agree with you entirley and long overdue that we practice corners and free kicks and keep the ball on the grass. Our dead ball stuff in threatening positions is woeful. As we are a team who, generally does not score lots of goals, we absolutely must do something different or planned from the training ground when we have a corner, or a free kick near the opposition goal. If we had a reharsed move and won 1-0 it would have been worth all the practice and preparation and three very valuable points. Lets look at the positive things we should be doing rather than just criticise, often unconstructively.

I thought the team looked uninspired today, but hopefully it was a one off. I must defend old Rossco though, he had pass marks in the game I watched. I would have liked to see 4-4-2 as well, especially at home. My biggest angst today, however, was the lumping of the footie up the pitch on to Accies defenders heads and the worst culprite was our goalie! I thought they looked very average (doesn't say much for us) A winger may have helped our cause and created one chance at least. And to not test their goalie in 90mins was nothing less than a crime. Finally, Mark Corcoran was my MOM by a country mile.

Hear hear! Like many others I have a good feeling about this young chap and the thrree year deal is very interesting.

I'll settle for 4-3 to us then
  23. Lets hope so. As you say Mr. 100 quite staggering that we haven't signed a defender yet, but here's hoping we do. Otherwise it's hats off to CB for effort this summer as far as I'm concerned. Here's a man who seriously wants to keep his job.
  24. A handful indeed, they look very comfortable and mobile. But nothing we can't deal with and give a warm highland welcome to.
