  1. I?ve been re-reading some of the coverage around this incident and the thing that strikes me is that he?s quoted as having paid ?80 for two half gramme wraps of coke. Now I?m no expert (honestly :angel05: ) but that is way over the odds and would suggest that Richie is hardly a hardened user who might have been aware he was being ripped off. It?s not the first time we?ve been front page news for the wrong reasons and as such it would be hypocritical of the club to sack him when they continue to employ others who?s past behaviour is, in my opinion, more unsavoury than Richie?s. As the saying goes today?s front page news is tomorrow?s chip wrapper.
  2. Certainly not the smartest move for a professional sportsman to be dabbling with the old colombian marching powder. I think the hand wringing of a few folk on here is over the top and hope that this incident doesn't kybosh Richie's playing career. There can't be many folk in this day and age who haven't experimented at some point in their life with some form of recreational substance. It's difficult for these young guys with a lot of free time and relatively good wages to constantly say no when all around them folk are partaking. My main hope is that this sends out a warning to the rest of the playing staff that their off the pitch behaviour is constantly under the microscope in a place like Inverness.
  3. His last two goals were scored at Home to Falkirk, not Away as listed in your table. Pedant, moi....? :001: Top Man is our Denzil.
  4. Home game for me these days. Seems to be a fair few Aberdeen(shire) based posters on here these days. I trust more turn up for the dismals than were in attendance pre-season at the Locos.

    On a LSM

Mantis - I'm pretty sure Young and Gifted fall into the refusenik camp. Maybe some of our jaggy brethren could confirm. Now I'm back en Ecosse I'm going to dig out some of my old caley collection from the old dear's loft and see if there's anything which might be of interest for your site if you're interested. Got loads of programmes from the seventies to nineties and the priceless rod the mod scrap books from the late seventies. :001:
  6. Well jealous of KoB / Beachcomber catching The Smiths, The Clash, Aztec Camera, etc. I was too young to see any of these and my teenage years were a barren wasteland as far as decent gigs in the sneck went. Weird how we got some great bands in the early eighties and the late eighties/nineties were a dead loss. Does anyone know if Orange Juice ever played the sneck ? Watched the Edwyn Collins documentary on Friday night. Lump in throat time watching the great man's slow road to recovery.

    On a LSM

Got all the issues of LSM in the loft at my in-laws (I hope!!!). Credit also due to Black and Red All Over / 18 hours from Rotterdam which was also a good read.
  8. The Smiths played Eden Court in 1984 and 1985. Anyone on here in attendance?
  9. Would this not represent average household income which I guess would assume 1-point-something wage earners per household........or am I just being thick?
  10. A veritable dream come false scenario. Malkowski is to goalkeeping what Harold Shipman was to geriatric healthcare..... Ferfuxache Brew sort it out, mun. :008:
  11. So much for Clangers Langfield and Broonie. Finger on the pulse as always Johndo...... :33:
  12. Booked my return journey from Stonehaven to Waverley for the princely sum of ?20 (two singles cheaper than a return). Guess it would be about the same for anyone travelling down from Aberdeen.
  13. According the Guardian Grasser made contact with Lennon's agent but was quoted a salary of ?500,000 which was apparently a wee bit out of our league. Lennon was supposedly receptive to the idea in principle. Can you imagine the apopelxy amongst the legion of hand wringers on here if we'd gone down that path. I seem to remember reading that Lennon has family up North who follow ICT.
  14. What a load of garbage. A fair few folk on this forum need to get a fecking grip. :33:
  15. Ymip shakes head, switches off pc and hopes this thread will have self combusted by the morning. The lunatics appear to have finally taken over the asylum. :019:
  16. King Caley - in the name of god give yer head a shake mun.... I seriously question the wisdom of giving people the freedom to express their opinions on an open forum such as this when you read the drivel that has been spouted on here of late. Outsiders looking in must be p.issing themselves. I just don't get this Warnock mania that seems to be sweeping the forum. The guy is obviously a capable enough manager but he strikes me as obnoxious and unbearably arrogant. The fact that he seems to be universally unpopular with those who've encountered him south of the border surely speaks volumes. He'd last about five minutes at ICT in the highly unlikely event that he was given the job. Reality check needed all round folks.
  17. I stand corrected P-I-G. I completely forgot he was at Chester. Was just discussing our managerial vacancy with Trinidadman (ex of this forum) and he's proposing Rocky Corbett for the post whereas I'm favouring a return to the "Fat John, Skinny John" Beaton/Docherty dream ticket.
  18. Can?t stand Warnock and don?t believe for a minute he would seriously consider the position. Heaven forbid he was actually serious he?d last about five minutes before the toys came out the pram and he?d be off down the road. I?m a little surprised Blobby Williamson?s has not been mentioned in dispatches. Not a fan but he?s currently between jobs is he not.
  19. Just been listening to Kevin MacDonald on Sky Sports News standing in for Staunton. Always wondered how he'd handle the ICT job but I can't really see him jacking his gigs with Villa and the Republic to come home to the sneck. Doubt he'd take the pay cut to be honest. Maybe brother Jeff could make up the diffeence. I've mixed emotions regarding Brewster but he'd be head and shoulders ahead of most of the plums quoted on here. :029:

    Pre-Merger

Charles , The point I was trying to make was that in my eyes Caley effectively consumed the Jags and as such I tend to consider ICT as a continuation of the Caley heritage. I'm sure others will disgaree but hey, ho. I'm not trying to be antagonistic it's just my take on events and I would reiterate I'm fully committed to ICT and continued SPL football in the sneck. We'll just have to agree to disagree on the quantitative and qualitative effect of the refusenik situation.

    Pre-Merger

Charles - to suggest the refuseniks only amount to a few dozen is absolute nonsense. I seldom see hardcore Howden Enders at TCS and would suggest that the true figure would be well into the hundreds. Same applies to ex Jaggies but I'm sure our red and black friends could confirm or deny this figure. If you could trace the whereabouts of the entire support at the last Caley - Jags game at Telford Street I would imagine a very high proportion have never followed ICT. We lost a lot of diehard Invernessian football people who would have created a real hardcore support which ICT has consistently struggled to create over the years. I also disagree with your asertion that Caley couldn't have thrived in the Scottish League on their own. How exactly do you reconcile this suggestion with the fact that County did reasonably well up until we point we were promoted to the SPL? I refuse to accept that the 5,000 fans Caley took to McDiarmid Park on a miserable midweek night in 1992 couldn't have kept us afloat a mere two seasons later. The merger is history. I didn't like it and have never truly accepted it was a merger rather than a takeover. Time moves on and I'm proud of what ICT has achieved but there will always be a part of me that hankers after the good old days at Telford Street.

    Pre-Merger

Caley and Clach have won the HL the same number of times (18 each). Obviously somewhat skewed by the fact we departed the in 94. Good link to historic HL winners below. Illustrates the fact that over the piece (pre and post war) Caley were THE team in the highlands :blah01:: http://www.rsssf.com/tabless/scot-highchamp.html

    Pre-Merger

Elgin bigger than Caley ?!!?.....behave yirsel mun..... Just goes to show you lot weren't dubbed the fools on the hill for nothing. :004:
  24. Look at the squad - loads of attacking options but no defenders...... I presume Watt is not fit but I'd still stick Guy Kerr or Ally MacDonald on the bench as cover.
  25. Yessss! Go on Rosscoe
