  1. Good shout on the Keith's Scotty. I've been over in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland a couple of times this year with my work and can vouch for Keith's - shame about the Staggy logo mind. Newfy beers didn't really impress me (nor St. John's for that matter) but like you say plenty of micro brewery fare available in Canuck-land. I was drinking some IPA type stuff from Quebec last time I was in Halifax which was decent but can't remember the name of the brewery. Will have to re-trace my steps next time I'm over and report back. I'm quite partial to Kronenburg / 1664 and associated Alsacien brews after my time over the channel but the antichirst of French beers are Adelscott (lager infused with whisky) and Desperados (lager infused with Tequilla) which are both pretty prevalent in Parisian boozers and supermarkets. Vile! Peroni, Staropramen and Budvar not unpleasant.
  2. "Arbroath was a great trip....." Must have been the company you were keeping Have to agree though. Gayfield, Cappielow and the like are proper football grounds with proper fans. Gutted to have missed last night but currently confined to barracks waiting for madame ymip to drop the latest of the young stoney under-5s. A bientot gents.
  3. Think the wages issue was probably Bamba. Small mercies I would suggest. Radio Scotland made good point re MaKalamity and Bamba bombscare dream ticket at Easter Road. McPake would have been a decent signing. Hope he enjoys Dingwall in December.
  4. Radio Scotland suggesting we went in strong for Dave MacKay today but Livi were looking for ?200k! The Italians clearly on the peroni early doors today..... Pretty sure BillLeckie said MacKay rather than McPake but Livi site states they knocked back bids for McPake today. I struggle to see even the mad italians quoting ?200k for MacKay.
  5. Mr. Bannerman just on Radio Scotland suggesting no further signings at Le Stade. Also a suggestion that Leeds United came in late for Don Cowie but couldn't get the deal together. Possibility that they'll be back in for Chipper in January.
  6. "Spare me a seat from a no mark who hardly ever watches a game but thinks that he can pass comment - I am my own voice but I have clearly been proved rite this season " :rotflmao: Do keep up Johndo. I was there this afternoon as I've been much of this season. In fact I was ready to ask for my twelve quid back wen I spotted you on the same row as us...... :019:
  7. "Marius is a mercenary who has got what he wanted and now will move on - and I predict that he will fall. Lets not forget that if it wasnt fer Gretna the signing of Niculae and the standard of his play for the majority of the season would possibly have taken us into the SFL." Utter p1sh, as usual. Spare me a seat in earshot of the self proclaimed voice of the fans at Tynecastle tomorrow.
  8. Give it a rest Walter mitty.
  9. Ok, I withdraw my earlier comments. We'd clearly be better off bringing in brainless SPL plodders. Heaven forbid we get ideas above our station...... :029:
  10. Finger on the pulse.......... Hendry....... JJB.............. Aquifer....... etc............ etc........... yawn............. :33:
  11. I hardly ever post on here these days due to the utter garbage posted by the vast majority of posters but it you can't see the class of Niculae then you might be better off watching formation morris dancing on Saturday afternoons. Same mince posted with regards the respective value of Duncan, Rankin, Black, etc., etc. Hang your heads in shame clueless whoppers.
  12. I can assure you the Sky story is legit unlike the majority of rumours posted on here. McGregor's response to the proposal was that his priority was promotion not a one off appearance on Sky. Seemed a bit rash to me given County's financial woes. I felt sorry for Cove as that sort of money would have been a massive windfall for them.
  13. Considering County turned down ?82.5k from Sky to move their Scottish Cup game with Cove to the Thursday I doubt they?d be that willing to let Barrowman go on the cheap, even if he is out of contract in the Summer. So much for Save our Staggies. Money appears to be no object over the bridge these days.
  14. MacGregor's slick site is to web design what Harold Shipman was to geriatric healthcare. File alongside keepy-uppie king Michael Knighton - another walter mitty fruitcake with about as much a grip on reality as your average St. Mirren fan. Shame on the Courier for wasting newsprint on this non story. Re. Buenos - just remind him about his admission back on the rivals site that he wanted to come back to the fold. Cue furious back pedalling when his fellow refuseniks got wind of his "treachery".
  15. Mantis - hope you've survived the manflu. I was looking for you yesterday as The Legend, Kevin Mann and the one and only Wilson Robertson were all sitting together in the away section. Alas, missed photo opportunity....
  16. Fantastic performance today and what a bounce after the winer. Great day out despite mising my stop on the train home :023
  17. Purchased three tickets over the phone earlier today and was advised they'd be posted out first class tonight. The woman on the line reckoned we've sold about a hundred tickets which is pretty poor given Sunday's result. Looking forward to hooking up with a couple of old mates pre and post match for a festive libation.
  18. I'm struggling to see how a guy who's not been getting a game for a team who've had a very poor season thus far can command a decent transfer fee. Proctor in - Rankin out. Shape of things to come.... :019:
  19. Absolutely diabolical decision. I?m starting to have MAJOR doubts about his ability to keep us in the SPL. Give yer head a shake mun?. :008:
  20. I?ve been re-reading some of the coverage around this incident and the thing that strikes me is that he?s quoted as having paid ?80 for two half gramme wraps of coke. Now I?m no expert (honestly :angel05: ) but that is way over the odds and would suggest that Richie is hardly a hardened user who might have been aware he was being ripped off. It?s not the first time we?ve been front page news for the wrong reasons and as such it would be hypocritical of the club to sack him when they continue to employ others who?s past behaviour is, in my opinion, more unsavoury than Richie?s. As the saying goes today?s front page news is tomorrow?s chip wrapper.
  21. Certainly not the smartest move for a professional sportsman to be dabbling with the old colombian marching powder. I think the hand wringing of a few folk on here is over the top and hope that this incident doesn't kybosh Richie's playing career. There can't be many folk in this day and age who haven't experimented at some point in their life with some form of recreational substance. It's difficult for these young guys with a lot of free time and relatively good wages to constantly say no when all around them folk are partaking. My main hope is that this sends out a warning to the rest of the playing staff that their off the pitch behaviour is constantly under the microscope in a place like Inverness.
  22. His last two goals were scored at Home to Falkirk, not Away as listed in your table. Pedant, moi....? :001: Top Man is our Denzil.
  23. Home game for me these days. Seems to be a fair few Aberdeen(shire) based posters on here these days. I trust more turn up for the dismals than were in attendance pre-season at the Locos.

    On a LSM

Mantis - I'm pretty sure Young and Gifted fall into the refusenik camp. Maybe some of our jaggy brethren could confirm. Now I'm back en Ecosse I'm going to dig out some of my old caley collection from the old dear's loft and see if there's anything which might be of interest for your site if you're interested. Got loads of programmes from the seventies to nineties and the priceless rod the mod scrap books from the late seventies. :001:
