Its a long time since we had one, especially when you consider how many appeals we have had for what most of us feel are genuine claims, Jelavic hand ball last week for one.

Can anyone work out how many penalties all the SPL clubs have had over the last season and a half. I know Celtic and Rangers will have had most, as they attack more and have often got the extra men in the crowd, ( and in black ), and we also had the " everyones against us campaign from Mr Lennon "

heres a fun fact- if we dont get a penalty tomorrow then we will have gone through a calender year in the league without one

our last penalty in the league was in the 4-2 home win against hibs

our last penalty was against celtic in the 2-1 cup defeat in march

so weve had 1 penalty in 2011 in total

Last year we went undefeated away during the calendar year. This calendar year no penalties in the league assuming the ref does not mess this sequence up tomorrow.Just our bad luck to be drawing with one minute to go and the ref gives us a penalty to mess things up. Well I wonder what 2012 has in store - no home defeats, no bookings or sendings off, no serious injuries?

Tomorrow we wont need a penalty. We will win by playing good old fashioned honest football.

The great mystery now is when we do get a penalty who will take it.

Please dont give us a penalty ! what the hec will we do if we get one ! Jonny Hayes will maybe cross it or sumtin ?

Greg Tansey was Stockports penalty taker - and apparantly a very good one as well! So if he is on the park if and when we get a penalty he may be the man to take it.

i bet when we get a penalty we will miss it

I recollect reading an article at the start of the season where Foran said that Tansey was going to be the first choice penalty taker this season.

Our record breakers at it again. First a season undefeated away from home, quickly followed by the callander year unbeaten away from home, Now a full year in the league without a penalty, and a calander year without a league penaly. Next the first team to stay up in the spl without achieving a clean sheet all season!

As long as we keep gaining points we can and will keep climbing up the league. Looking at the fixtures, and the others around us we seem to have a favorable run up to the split. Here's hoping our progress continues, and our injuries remain limited
