  1. Lots of criticism, sniping and still conjecture posted here on the matter yet seems when the opportunity presented some stayed silent.
  2. Makes Saturdays game now a battle between the 2 teams with the best unbeaten runs in the league
  3. Try contact the club directly, there could be a platform for online participation?
  4. So long as we get to beat morton again last game of the season to crush their play off dream whether it's us or others that benefit.
  5. Would rather we still had Oakley and his 8 goals this season. Quite glad to hear he may be out injured though.
  6. Don't recall many getting much time from the last regime either tbf
  7. Exactly this. I'm not going to repost my comments over the last few days but its clear so many fans are failing to see the financial reason for loans and turn over of players or acknowledge where a club with a gate of 2k max sits in the Scottish football hierarchy. Stars aligned once achieving unfathomable success but the chances of that again is slim so we may yet need to go further back both on and off park to build again.
  8. While fans being verbally abusive towards players, staff or even each other is unacceptable I disagree advocating violence to resolve it
  9. It's clear the Jan remit was to reduce playing costs, where experienced and high earning players along with those not contributing were punted. Bring in youth from down south on loan from bigger clubs where we are unlikely to pay much if any towards wages. Dunc may well be a scapegoat here and the signings may be more a case of what we can get rather than what we really needed. Who and where are fans expecting quality and experience to come from when the club aren't able to spend the funds to match? We haven't missed out on quality players as its clear we were never approaching any. As for playing the loan players, it would not be a shock if the deals and lack of contributing financially means parent clubs have made the call they need to play or it costs (more).
  10. Thankfully QP have already demolished Arbroath tonight it seems Oh and Sheridan scores too
  11. Tbf, when we were **** under dodds the referees were often cited along with injury crisis any time we had more than just Welsh and doran out. It seems to ba a default for many fans rather than accepting its the team, manager, coaches that are failing over 36 games not individual decisions in ever undesirable result.
  12. No. The idea we spend money on players for a jolly over to Germany on what will undoubtedly be a loss msking trip just to facilitate a fan going on holiday is wild. Anyways, we are so ***** why would a top tier German club want to play us. Probably need to get them agreeing to that before anything else.
  13. We slide back, to where we rightfully should be based on our income and fanbase. Which unfortunately some seem to be unable to comprehend. We are a championship club and there are plenty around bigger than us who'd love the peak years we enjoyed - morton, Ayr, falkirk, Dunfermline etc. Anyone who actually thinks we were ever a permiership top 6 club longterm is deluded.
  14. Duncan isn't paid by the club. Keep fishing but try using fresh bait.
  15. Thats inevitable though, we were never going to exceed that anyntime soon although another national cup final last year is pretty exceptional. Not sure what fans expected - challenging for the Premiershiptitle, a European trophy? In context there are plenty professional clubs in Scotland who have had less success in the last 100 years than we have in 30. The more I see the glaring sense of entitlement on here and whinging about refs and 'deserving better' the more I see how SG thought an orange strip might be popular in certain sections!!!
  16. We can barely as a club afford to run buses to the friendlies in Elgin, Brora and Costa del Lossiemouth, so doubt they will be able to fly the squad to Germany.
  17. Not long ago under Dodds this would be called a crisis and some fans were defending the runs of poor results and suggesting those questioning tactics were biased in just wanting him out.
  18. Fair to say they are dead, but with only 3 points between 5th and 9th everyone excluding top 4 is in a relegation battle. Not suggesting all is rosy at all, however if anyone wants to revisit the expectation when Dunc came in, the majority was mid table 5th to 8th range. Not sure why so many are disappointed and expecting more. Its apparent with the clear out of experienced or higher earning players in exchange for loans that we will either be paying little or nothing there is an agenda to cut playing costs too. Would we be in this position with Dodds and his team, who knows but doubt we'd be much better off if at all.
  19. But we are not bottom nor are we currently going down. The idea its gung-ho balls to the wall approach would be heavily chastised by fans loosing games in that vain. It's a point away from home and we've maintained the gap and amazingly even being crap we are only 3 points from 5th. Promotion play offs are gone but everyone other than top 4in this division can still go down!!!
  20. I think many will be wary of that kind of event, sounds a bit fishy
  21. This is just using the community angle to lever the process in their favour on a mutually beneficial arrangement for a project that likely would be instantly rejected without using the local links. Is it really much different to a developer building or financing local groups to support a play park or school or community facility in return for having their proposal passed? This is just the private company directly returning finances to a group that supports the community project - youth groups, school visits etc (just its all centered around football)? There is a lack of clarity what or whether directors will directly benefit on a personal level, but again is that really any different to most of these 'mutually beneficial' deals?
  22. Lucky we released a few high earners then signed all these loans everyones been complaining about and wont be saddled with longterm salaries in 12 weeks time then
  23. Citing poor performances and loosing games as a reason for not returning is (in my opinion) what we hear from OF fans. However I do agree that the entertainment is dropping due to our playing style this is directly linked to the quality of players we have which is all finance driven - through through dropping numbers of fans and therefore lower revenues this will continue in a decreasing spiral unfortunately. The biggest issue is that given other forms of similar entertainment for the price point of football, the experience as a fan is poor. This isnt unique to ICTFC but nothing is or has changed for decades - yet unlike history where there wasnt the vast spread of leisure activities on offer clubs could be complacent , relying on loyalty - this is no longer the case. Its a whole new off topic thread and discussion but attending football is a habit not pleasure.
