Armed fans confront team

AN ARMED gang of football fans interrupted training at a relegation-threatened Argentine club, threatened the players and demanded that they win their last three games, then fired at least one shot into the air.

Local media said about 50 supporters invaded the practice session at first division club San Martin-Tucuman.

"They started to argue and threaten us," the team's Chilean striker Cristian Canio said . "They had a go at the coach because they said he played too defensively. They continued with us, saying we were robbing the club. Then, they got out their guns."

I'll be looking out for their results!
