May 2, 201016 yr This season seemed really short and I'm having withdrawl symptoms already. Hopeful that the World Cup will serve up some decent football. I'm backing the Netherlands to win it. Got a tenner on at 14-1. Anyone putting money on who's going to win?
May 2, 201016 yr I'll be 18 at the start of the world cup :cry01: I'm thinking of maybe putting a bet on :) A.B.E.
May 3, 201016 yr I'm not going to bet on any winner, reakon I'd stand a better chance of betting on the favourites of individual matches. Seems quite a lot fo olk make a very tidy profit from doing this at the World Cup and Euros. Edit: If I were to bet on a winner, I'd go for Brazil for the value although I think Spain are the more likely to win it barring injuries. Edited May 3, 201016 yr by Iain
May 3, 201016 yr Cant support Scotland ... we didnt qualify Cant support Canada ... they didnt qualify Cant support USA ... too many players I dislike (especially Landon Donovan) so ... my support goes to Nigeria as that is my wife's heritage ... and it has a tenuous ICT link in that they are called the "super eagles" ! When it comes to the USA -V- England, I will be somewhat ambivalent but would prefer an England win !!!
May 3, 201016 yr Forgot to add my support lies with Brazil for the sole reason I'll be ?320 up from a sweepstake should they lift it for a 6th time.
May 3, 201016 yr I'd never write off England, they'll have to win it again eventually. Would sure like to see an African winner though. Edited May 3, 201016 yr by Renegade

As much as it pains me to say so I agree, if they can keep Rooney fit then they are a good bet although they always seem to choke. I would love to see Argentina win it as they have some amazing players however Maradona's shocking team and squad selections during their quailfiers doesn't bode well, it'll be interesting to see who he picks in his squad. My money is on Spain though and even if Torres and Xavidon't make it they still have Villa and can call up the likes of Fabregas too. Expect a few shocks, I think Portugal and Italy may struggle to qualify from their groups and may even take a punt on that.
