I’ve tallied up the totals for 2016. By my reckoning, we had 67 exICT scorers, compiling  416 goals as follows :- 26 goals                S Sutherland (Peterhead,9/Elgin,17) 25 goals

Although during 2018 I didn't bother posting on a daily basis as goals were scored, I did update my  spreadsheets of ex ICT goalscorers every two or three weeks.  I found 74 goalscorers finding the ne

Just think if we beat Hibs tomorrow we could face either Celtic, Rangers ........or Mckay & Ofere in the semi

I missed a couple on Sat 5th Mar.

An amazing Highland League cup Q/F between Formantine and Brora ended 5-5, before Brora went on to win on penalties.

Gary Wood (Formantine) and Andrew Greig (Brora) scored one each  in normal time.

Gregory Tade scored the winner this afternoon, his first of 2016, in a 1-0 win for Steua Bucharest against our old friends, Astra in the Romanian League Cup.

Billy Mckay scores both goals (a penalty and an injury time equaliser) in Utd's 2-2 draw with Dundee in their derby match, a result that just about keeps our slim chance of 'top 6', alive

Thank you, Billy! That could be huge come the end of the season!
Despite Dundee United obviously struggling at the foot of the table, Billy's been doing scoring goals, as he does. A class act at this level.

Outstanding work, CMIB!
I wonder if Strathspey's goal was by ICT ex-youth wunderkid, Adam McLeod?
It's been credited as 'McLeod', so could be?

Yes, well spotted Sneckboy, Adam MacLeod it was apparently. It wasn't recorded on Twitter when I looked just after full time, but it is now on HFl Hub, which I'm sure you know, is a good site for Highland league info.

It was Adam MacLeod, seemingly went through Brora defenders and passed it round keeper from edge of box. He's just coming back from yet another injury, bad ankle ligament one this time. Lads missed about 3 seasons with injuries since he left ICT, but when he plays he scores.

I went along to this, one of the best games I've seen all season. Lucky to meet ymip and young ymip and cadge a lift into Furryboots, otherwise I would have missed the last 10 mins and Brora's 3rd goal. Also playing were Gavin Morrison, Andrew Greig and loads of other ex ICT that I've forgotten. Nobody happy at full time except Cove.

It sounds like it was a cracking game - and still leaves the HL a three-horse-race!
Mantis...do you think Edinburgh City are stronger this year than last?...and capable of beating Brora/Formartine/Cove?

I think Ed City are stronger. I also thought Brora were superb second half whatever Brittain said to them at half time. I have to say Brora were very lucky in the playoffs last year. It took a late Martin MacLean equaliser at Meadowbank and City should really have been out of sight. Too hard to call but I think whoever wins will beat the Shire.

Gary Wood scored again for Formantine today in a 5-1 win over Clach.  I notice an S Leslie scored for Clach.  Not sure if that is our ex player Stuart Leslie.  Anyone know?

It is him, indeed! You don't miss a trick!

Also, perhaps for this section - congrats to Zander Sutherland and the rest at Brora Rangers. They won the Highland League Cup (knockout-tourney) this afternoon, for the first time in their history! At the 70th time of asking!
A 0-0 draw after-extra-time against Nairn County, resulted in penalties...and Brora won 5-4. Zander netted the decisive kick.
