According to teletext, he has completed his full signing to ICT and will be available for Sundays home game with Hibs.

He starts training this week at Inverness.

Good news all round, a positive step by the management. :021:

Looks like he could become a local cult player, good to have an 'image' for young fans to follow, look out yer mums blonde wigs.

From the Cowdenbeath website, Blue Brazil on-line:-

Markus is the younger brother of boss Mixu and signed for the club at the beginning of September 2005. Paatelainen joined Aberdeen on a 6 month contract last January but was released at the end of the season. He can play on either wing or in the centre of midfield and has been involved at under 21 level for Finland. Markus has been in sparkling form this season winning five consecutive Fan's Player of the Month awards. Suffered a serious injury away to Elgin City and had been sidelined for two months. The flying Finn made his comeback at Hampden Park and was fittingly a key player as Cowden clinched the Championship at home to Elgin. Markus capped a fantastic first season at Central Park by picking up a plethora of awards: Scottish Professional Footballers' Association Third Division Player of the Year, Supporters Club Player of the Year, Willie Anderson Trophy (Blue Brazil Fans' Player of the Year) and the Eric Mitchell Trophy (Players' Player of the Year). Markus made 24 (1 sub) appearances and scored 6 goals.

Good stuff !

Look forward to seeing him.

And a big thank you to Cowdenbeath FC for releasing him, considering how important he's been in their promotion drive. :021:

Rather suprsied to see Cowdenbeath release him now aswell.  Unlikely we would have been splashing too much cash so I wonder if we might see someone from us go on loan there till end of the season?

With a name like that I hope his shoulders are broad.  :015:

Could be a valuable asset to the squad - fingers crossed he becomes a great success.

I see he's been playing wide left for Cowdenbeath this season. I wonder if he might come into the reckoning for Sundays game?
