Take it that we started:

Walsh Trafford Chalmers Elbouzhedi

White Austin

Daniel McKay with a hat trick, Polly and Oakley-Doakley at Kinguisie.

Zak Dingle double, Trafford, Morrison and Austin at Kinnock Park.

An article on the Courier website says Elbouzedi was the best player on the pitch at "Kieth".

We didn't see much of him last season. Could he turn out to be a great asset?

Take it that we started at Fort Gorge with:

MacKay

Rooney  B. MacKay  Johnstone  Tremarco

Nelson  Polly  Chalmers Doran

Oakley D McKay

That is not a bad 22 ?

How do you think Trafford will fit in this season?

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't he sidelined for much of last season.? Yet I see that several of you on this site seem to favor him for a place, even a permanent one, in the team this time around?

Trafford has great potential in the holding midfield role. Just needs to ensure he does not match Vigurs in the yellow card league!

At Tannadice last season, he really looked out for Daniel MacKay in the warm ups and helped him recover the balls before they left the pitch. That impressed me, as he was looking out for the (then) unproven youngster.

Aye! and showing him encouragement to boot. Good thinking that man.

You know, it's so funny, I have never seen Trafford in action but his name flashed in front of my eyes (before I had even come to reading the post above).as a possible captain. Experienced and willing to stand behind and help his players. Could be a good leader and motivator, yes?

Thoughts please on this one?

I prefer Chalmers in the holding role and might even consider Doran in the playmaker role, allowing Polly to continue to rove free. Trafford is solid but not spectacular and certainly not a captain
