Seen this and thought I'd share it. Same day as Noel Gallagher so might be a tough sell for many. Can't do it myself unfortunately as I'm coaching my 2 daughter's football team in the morning then they've got a dance display in the afternoon.

When I saw the 'volunteers required' headline I assumed maybe they wanted a lick of paint on the walls, not something like this.

 

I appreciate the club are going through an 'austerity' period just now, but is it reasonable to ask for people with specialist skills like digger operators and dumper drivers to do this sort of work for no pay? Personally, I don't think so.

Probably not but I suspect that the club will include something on social media thanking "Joe Bloggs Diggers" for doing some stuff down the stadium so it gets them some free publicity which some companies might be happy to do as a one off.

Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything. The operative word is "volunteers". Every pound we save on improving the playing surface is a pound available to spend on what will be playing on it. Bumped and pinned.

No but there was a picture on Twitter showing new electric car charging points we've fitted just by the sports bar bit. Just what fans have been crying out for. ?‍♂️ I really hope we got a grant for them!
