My only recollection of Scarborough was when they first got into the league (old Div 4). In their first home match, some (away?) fans were showing off, jumping around on the corrugated iron roof of the terracing. What happened next is predictable, and nearly got them a Darwin award.

Jimmy Glass and Carlisle United. Was that the beginning of their slide?

Carlisle keeper Glass scored in injury time on last day of season to save Carlisle from relegation and put Scarborough down. 

Tempted to make reference to them having "had their chips" but it's very sad to see the end of over a century of football history.

To be honest they looked doomed this year after having ten points deducted from them at the atart of the season, plus they were playing in the Conference North against teams like the mighty Vauxhall Motors, for a club that had seen sucsess in the past this wasn't a good way to end the tradition, shame they couldnt have gone out like Airdrieonians.
