New Central Defender

Featured Replies

Well we do have a central defender on trial just now and barring any injuries or suspensions a good solid back 4.

More worrying at the moment if the current rumours are true is the fact we only have 3 fit strikers  :007:

try 1 fit striker

i think we're in safe hands with bayne and wyness for now, plus they are only injuries/work permit issues, forwards will be coming back

wish i could say the same thing for why we dont have cover at the back

try 1 fit striker

Try using your fingers rather than your braincells to count and you might get higher than one, ersehole  :001:

If Bayne does have a broken toe (?) then we only have Wyness, MacAllister & Wood

I doubt Grant Munro would be able to last a full game because in the Courier it said that he was not fully fit.

I think Jamie Duff and Guy Kerr have looked quite good in pre season. If we can't sign anyone of genuine quality then these guys should be give a chance.

Have ICT signed that French bloke yet?  Or is he still just a trainee player.

Non.

PS My French is obviously pish but imagine Rossco shouting French instructions to his new Centre half!!

Kerr in particular

He was named in the Star of all papers, however I can't remember his name! Yesterday's edition!

The French Bloke is HUGE Must be about 6'5!!

He was in the thick of the action for our 2 goals but at the other end of the park he didn't impress. For a big guy he goes down awful easy, and he amusingly shouted 'Fole'! when he got a tasty challenge. A few of his headers were poorly timed. He might get better with some match practice, but he hasn't proved himself yet.

Just back from the county game, if we play like that against Rangers we will get hammered !

Our french trialist may cosmetically look the part,  but had a poor game today, cannot say he impressed.. !

Graham

He looked like he was huge (6"3 or 4) but he had a couple of good headers but looked very nervous on the ball and almost gave away a goal.

not surprised to hear blacks still our most influencial player, shame hes started yet another game from the bench

he must be sh1te in training

I thought Black played okay in the ten minutes he was on and should of been on for at least half an hour or should have been on the start.

:015:

For some reason, that made me chuckle.

Is he a big sissy then?

Black should have been on for the second half. As in the first half our midfield were just not in the game.. When Black came on his class shone through and dare I say he had a certain cheeky composure... about him..

Graham

I know it's only a PSF but this can't be the same Black that half of this forum wanted out of ICT?

I don't think many have questioned Blacks skill.. it's his temperment and record of needless bookings that has had many fans so frustrated with him that they would let him go..

Todays 10 mins was not long enough to judge if he has learn't to control himself or not. Only time will tell!!

Graham

The trialist is 6'3 according to footie website profiles and was at ajjaco before being released. Ajjaco are a top end 2nd flight french team who were in the 1st flight 2 seasons ago. He was never a regular though and was loaned out last season to the 3rd tier where he got more games.
