Rankin Can Go

According to today's Press and Journal, Brewster has indicated that he's willing to listen to offers for Rankin during the January transfer window.

A strange decision in my opinion. I know that we are over burdened with midfielders and that he hasn't featured much this season. I'm also aware that wages will have to be freed up to allow for us to bring in the experienced 'keeper and centre back(s) we clearly require but Rankin is a young man with an abundance of skill who is on a long term contract.

I fear that if he's pushed out the door we may live to regret that decision.

But if Brewster and co dont like him he could be feckin McFadden and he would still be out of the feckin first team - smell the feckin coffee.

In my opinion Morgan is a better footballer.

John did ok when he came on, in fact probably ok+, as said, unlucky a couple of times, caught out a couple of times, tried a shot or two but weak however, his overall demeanour lends itself to better things.

Daftest idea of the Brewster regime Part II. Big rethink required here. Rankin must stay !

Rankin was awesome today

Did you notice Rankins amazing backheel that nearly sent Wyness through? I think I'll stick him down for MotM.

I thought he did more than enough to merit a decent run in the team and to be on from the start....

Whatever the feck he did to whoever.... Forgive and forget... Time to move on now.

Why have you quoted from a seperate thread?

The other thread had more to do with Cowie....

I'm quite keen to see this debate on Rankin's future explored further....

I thought it was just a general MotM discussion thread but fair dos.

From his comments to the press after Saturday's match, it looks loke Rankin's resigned to leaving.

What did he say..?
