Credit Crunch?

Off topic I know but the term 'credit crunch' is a classic bit of spin used by somebody somewhere that everybody seems to have latched onto.  Almost sounds like a breakfast cereal.

Replace it with 'the UK is very close to being completely bankrupt, with both ourselves and the US in Trillions of un repayable debt so a 10 year + recession is more than likely' and youd be closer to the mark.

No idea what effect itll have on Scottish Football but it'll come somewhere down the line, plenty of clubs trade off the value of their land and could well have the rug (almost literally) pulled from beneath them.  Obviously the man in the street may eventually decide that paying for his home and food is more important than paying ?20 to watch a football game (if on his own) and will do just that, all clubs would be hit.

Aslong as we're in the SPL then there will always be an income to be had, its if we go down youd have to worry with the future looking bleak.

Well Clacher, I'm pleased to learn that only the US and UK are in the 'stuffy' - that's going to come as a welcomed relief to so many countries - that is, all those with no borrowings who are also immune from the current economic climate, European and the Far East!!  You heard it here first folks, the current Global Economy is OK - apart from UK and US!!

A situation that's not been helped by Browns decision 9 years ago to increase our exposure to the Dollar, Yen and Euro by cashing in over half our Gold Reserves and slashing 5% of the Treasuries worth in the same period of time.

a " prevailing challenging economic climate" simply means that the euro is at its highest standing for years - Perhaps we should tell peeple that the mercenary is on sale for 1,000,000 Euros and hope that they dont check the surrent markets.

I could suggest that we dont waste money on sending peeple to watch feckin games at Lincoln and Wrexham.
