Found and interesting article on the back page. Final Brewster says something that I agree with!

He's saying that the officials have been making us drop points!

Once again I make the point from both articles linked in this thread, not Brewster or Munro pay any respects to the fans during this 'difficult period'. Where going through a point like this is horrible for any team the players/management alike, not one interview has mentioned the long forgotten fans and how we have taken things! Ibrox for example isn't cheap! And I felt for the fans who travelled there to literally have their pockets ripped out in front of them. And the same goes for the faithful who turn up week after week in all weather shelling out to watch what is essentially school boy football It seems that Munro's interview should have talked about the gulf between the club and its fans rather than the club and the OF which anyone in football knows about!

And a point from IHE in the post above:

'The management of this club revolves around negativity - we are becoming indebted to a failing SPL standard and teams who are even less prepared and less fortunate than us'

Gretna so far have been our safety net and we can only hope for things to get better or Hamilton to take that place this year, but both of these clubs have never been in the current SPL standards before. We only need to look at the teams fighting for promotion this year who have all had previous SPL runs to dread what may happen next year if the current trend continues.

So it's not about winning or losing or getting points is it?

It's really all about the existence or the absence of heart on the day....

It should embrace it all - it is about "togetherness" and "ownership" - and a bond between the club and the fans - a "family" feeling with open two way communication - I remember those days well.

You sound quite bitter, Johndo. I can't say I blame you, in fact I agree with most of the points you make. I've felt increasingly over the last couple of seasons that the club has lost the "family" feel it used to have. There is no bond with the supporters any more, no feeling of "togetherness". It's very sad, and also very worrying for the future.

And while your right we cant realistically expect points it is the level of performance that irks people the most, when we lost at home to Celtic it wasnt all doom and gloom as the team performed as well as could be expected.

You are bang on. When we played Celtic we lost. No-one called for anyone's head, no-one asked which players should be out the door in January, and why was that? It was because the team gave 100%, battled through the game and lost to the (arguably) better side on the day. On another day we might have won, or snuck a draw, but it didnt happen. Last week we basically laid down for Rangers and allowed them to do whatever they wanted. There was none of the heart, spirit or passion from the Celtic game and no apologies, just excuses. If we played every game like the Celtic game, we would be a lot higher up the table and win or lose we would be able to write screeds of positivity about our team ........
