  5. Yes I think the very casual fileshares are taking stock and less keen. Due to the problems of using torrents (visabity, reliability, traffic shaping and stupid download limits set by ISP's) and the digital economy bill etc vs the ease of itunes and the heavy discounts on physical media. The geeks never embraced torrents it was like trying to get a group of Times readers to change to the Sun.

  6. The above link was posted on a friend of mine's facebook earlier today after our loss to the tims, and for some reason it's hit a nerve... This is one of the main reasons I don't go to games when the Old Filth are in town. IE Our own supporters get chastised for standing, chanting and having a good time, yet in the South stand the fans can party and no-one bats an eyelid.

  8. I'm in the process of investigating legitimate means for providing commentary to overseas fans....which would be provided via the official website. Can't promise anything for this season, but one way or another we will have something in place properly for next season.

  9. No chance of him being offered the post but absolutely he'd say yes. It's naive in the extreme to believe anything different.

  11. You crack me up....complaining about lack of support from the local area in one thread and hoping that we don't convert people to the cause and bring them in on an another!!! How exactly do you suggest converting one of them, once an Orc always an Orc IMO You maybe quite happy sitting next to union jack waving bigot but I'm most definitely not With that kind of attitude I can see now why you previously voted yes to kill of your previous team Dougal By not tarring them all with the one brush. They're not all as you describe but to describe them all as such is just to show yourself up to be as much a bigot as the minority who sing the songs and wave the flags. Exactly Alex, no different than someone saying all Muslims are terrorists. I supported Rangers in my youth, because my grandad did (my father had no interest in Football) I have no problems saying that, he also used to also take me to some of the Clach games. My uncle Ben (not the rice guy!) also used to take me to Telford street from time to time. Without going into the whole story (unless anyone really wants to hear it lol!) once I reached around 18 I lost Interest in Rangers and football in general for a few years other than going to the occasional Scotland game. I then started supporting ICT, going to away games mostly as I lived in Glasgow at the time. I suppose then dispite having a season ticket along with my wife for several years (since moving back to Inverness) I should turn it in immediately Dougal as I am a bigoted 'Orc'. I'll maybe ask my Protestant mother or Catholic father how big a bigot I am. In this case sir you are being a small minded fool.

  12. As a journalist who walks in free of course. How frequently do you find people complaining that you don't personally pay to get into your place of work? Maybe you should also remember that it's the cash that my employers pay for broadcasting rights at these games that actually helps keep what you are charged to get in down at current levels.

  13. Where's the singing section ? Back of section E in the North Stand, it used to be in the back of section G but was moved. Yet theres still no noise coming from the new section whats the point if we try we get harrassed by stewards. you sing at a football game and you are the enemy to half the world it seems

  14. You know what ... good luck to them !!!! I actually dislike County less than a lot of other teams !!! We have had a few good players from them over the years, and they have seen fit to extend the playing careers of a few of our legends too ! A very symbiotic relationship ! Regardless of the actual team, and more usually in debates where we were talking about stadium criteria, I have always said that whoever wins the first division deserves to go up to the SPL, regardless of anything else, as they have shown themselves to be the best football team in that division over the course of the season and its the football that matters. That opinion still holds true whether it is County or another team come the end of the season. I have no love for County, other than the love of beating them ... but I do kinda like the idea of those teams who already bitch about coming to ICT once or twice a season now having to bitch about the tortuous journey up the A9 to face two teams !!!!! Furthermore, I also stand by my own opinion on stadium criteria which is a newly promoted team should be allowed to use the existing seated part of its stadium for the SPL and if they choose to, should be able to use that first season in the SPL - and the extra money that brings - to make the stadium compliant rather than go down the route of spending money by March to have a compliant stadium "just in case" they win the league in May. I guess this position is less relevant now as ICT also set a precedent here too by sharing with the Dons and then getting the North/South stands built in double quick time ... but I just disagree with forcing teams to spend money they dont yet have on the off chance they will be champions ... It should be about the football and encouraging and assisting teams to reach the top rather than making them gamble with their own futures, incur debt they may not need to, and potentially spiral downwards if the gamble doesnt pay off ...... I didnt catch what Jim Spence was saying early doors on the radio on Saturday as I was running late .... but he seems to have been touting the larger league idea again .... something else I think is a good idea .... plenty of teams in D1 that could grace the SPL, and Ayr also took a good contingent to Hampden ....... even if they wouldnt have a fraction of them for a normal game.

  15. Can someone explain to me what the problem is as I don't see one? The EU rules ensure that any member state or part of cannot discriminate against any other sovereign member state. Within an member state, it is acceptable to have devolved regions/states (in our case a nation) that operates independently within the confines of the devolved settlement. Using this settlement the Scottish Government what to ensure that education is funded correctly and that, irrespective of your financial background you are able to pursue to the maximum of your ability with fees being removed as a barrier. This is the case for ever child who has undertaken their education (barriers in place to avoid short term moves) in the Scottish system irrespective of creed, colour or nationality. In accordance with EU rules, the same criteria are applied to all who wish to apply from any sovereign state. The issue with the other component parts of the (dis)United Kingdom is that the do not wish to fund tuition fees for anyone and, accordingly, the apply these rules across the board. Choice being exercised by those that govern those areas. Why should they be entitled to benefit from devolved funding, allocated and prioritised by the devolved region?
