  1. It appears that only 3,500 tickets have been sold so far which to me seems disappointing - only 700 per day on what you would expect to be the busiest days for selling tickets. If we can't get people to support the team now then we never will. I have a business in the central belt and will happily contribute £1,000 to pay for train and match tickets for 40 school kids and 4 adults. I've been in touch with my old school this morning to organise this. Surely there must be hundreds of similar businesses around (or with a link to) Inverness that could do the same? If 50 companies did this then that's another 2,000 youngsters, some of whom just might get hooked on supporting the team. Being in the central belt I'm not connected in the Inverness business community but if anyone does have business contacts can you suggest to them that they do the same?
  2. Leave it to the Scots--the steam engine, the telephone across the Atlantic, Penicillin and many other inventions. Have faith and go for it I say. This is an opportunity that is worth the risk.... Is there anyone left in Scotland these days who actually believes that David Cameron, who suddenly remembers that he has Scottish blood in his veins and cares s-o-o-o-o-o much about Scotland, will invoke the feel-good factor, viz: ''stay with us dearies, and you will be alright 'cos I'll look after you", cares a fig about us Northerners? He's more concerned about greed and power and money, not the Scots. This is your .last chance to get rid of the likes of him and his ilk. Blow it now and you deserve what you get. It's all Laurence's fault anyway --he started this thread in the first place, clearly not realising the hornet's next that he was stirring up. One thing's for sure, when the oil finally runs out, an independent Scotland will have reaped the benefit and, if thrift and smart thoughts have anything to do with setting assets aside for the future, then you all will be "alright Jack"--The alternative of staying with the U K Government seems banal to me since you will be no further forward and will remain slaves to the self-serving bureaucrats of Westminster whose only interest in Scotland is the taxes they can squeeze from you and the relaxing vacations they can enjoy here.

  4. Cellic wouldn't sell me an away ticket so had to keep stum and sit in the home end with half of Ireland. Will take 5_0 as it could/should have been 8 or 9 At one stage Celtic broke away and stokes and Griffith's must have played 4 or 5 one twos in our box before Griffith's shot over. Brill had a couple of good saves before letting a 30 harder from commons right foot under his body. Ritchie had a chance at 2_0 after good work from shinnie but blasted over from 10 yards and in second half was not quick enough with his feet to score from 3yards and let the defender get a tackle in. We played a couple of bits of nice stuff but no end product. Billy and for an tried their best but the Celtic back four were too fast, too strong, too good.especially ambrose and dick van dyke. Thought hughes got his tactics very wrong today more like boo boo than yogi. Draper gave the bal away with poor passing and was rightly hooked. Meekings needs to work on his distribution which was poor also, but lucky he has pace. Shinnie was very good going forward but got a roasting from Forrest later on in the game. Ross is a nice footballer but can't go past anyone is swatted away too easily. Warren was solid Vincent too slow and tansey was playing high balls to billy against van dyke doh Hope Hughes does not come out with the injured beast, bad day at the office because it wasn't. Celtic too good I am afraid. And to think Aberdeen beat them. Ah well roll on 16 march
  5. Feckin superb psychological ploy
  6. *sigh* Always difficult to get a result against Celtic but it's still disappointing. If you'd offered me six points from games against Saint Johnstone, Ross County and Celtic I would have been very happy with that return.
  7. Half time 2-0 celtic we have been dominated with only one chance so far this game
  8. H-T 2-0 - would be glad of a repeat of the last game at Celtic Park with a comeback and it ends 2-2 ;-)
  9. Thistle ahead against County ;-)
  10. 1 point
All these suggestions but no decisions = silence or a squeek at the final I fear. Can a bright spark with the know how do a poll so we settle on main song. My new proposal taken on on board merger baggage about Caledonia. Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline (replaced with CaleyJags).dont change anything other than caroline and treat rest as work in progress. Everyone will recognise the song - wont they?
  11. Absolutely not....something Yogi touched on at the CJT Fans Q&A last night.
  12. dwelling on the past we should be looking at the future. I would like to see a new ground within the new university campus.
