  1. Hibs demonstrated last night the merits of treating The Rangers as the mediocre Championship side they are and having a go at them rather than standing off like they were Barcelona or even Celtic.
  2. I have only just seen the highlights so between them and the MFR commentary I would have said we were the better team again. Unlucky with two of the goals against but regardless of our style of football, some which some call tippy tappy they could have happened to any side. Garry's pass back was especially unfortunate, complete misjudgement by him but surely it was just that, a mistake that he almost redeemed himself for shortly afterwards. Other than that he had a really good game as did the rest of the defence. Another all round good performance from, as to use Yogis words, a Team with a much lower budget. Personally I am very proud of what our Team is doing and the way they are doing it. No team can now judge where the goals are going to come from, Marley, Aaron and Greg are our main goalmakers but the goals are being scored from all other sources. I expect even Billy to make his mark again soon at the moment he seems to be just diverting attention and letting the others play his role. The Derby match is going to be a cracker, in fact all three coming up will be well worth going to watch and yes seven points from them will be most welcome.
  3. Bamber Bridge v Chorley - FA Cup Third Qualifying Round - 11/10/14 - and big James Dean is still rattling in the goals.
  4. First Highland Derby of the season on Sunday at 12:45 and there's no thread yet! ICT are unbeaten at home, Ross County haven't won away from Dingwall in the league. Despite a strong start to the season ICT have wobbled in the last couple of weeks and still look susceptible to making errors at the back when placed under pressure. Aberdeen made it quite an uncomfortable afternoon for us on Saturday and County will no doubt look to do the same. Our team is perhaps more settled than Ross County's at this minute and we are certainly favourites but the game at New Year showed that there is substance in the cliché that form goes out the window in a derby match. Interesting stat, ICT have yet to win a game under John Hughes after conceding the first goal. I can't see our starting XI changing unless we have any injuries: Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Draper Tansey Watkins Christie Doran Mckay Looking forward to it
  5. That's your story anyway.
  6. I think you have to remember that Uni teams often struggle at the start of the season till the term starts. However SUFC players are more or less professionals anyway as most people connected with 'traditional' clubs such as myself will be happy to tell you....... Ferguson Park, Rosewell for me on Saturday. Whitehill v East Stirling. I thought the Highland Derby was going to be on BT Sport? I've just started using it but every time I switch on expecting a live game it's never on
  7. I think a lot of our fans would become extremely disillusioned if we were to lose this one. After seeing the great start to the season slip away somewhat, a loss to our arch enemy would be a bitter pill to swallow. However, I am optimistic that we are playing well enough to give County a good hiding, if only we are able to cut out the preventable mistakes at the back. Obviously it would be good if Billy can regain his shooting boots, but even if this doesn't happen, I'm sure we have enough firepower to beat County with a bit to spare. Looking forward to it.
  8. I think that stat stretches back to November 2011! Bonfire night! We were certainly on fire, coming from behind to beat Kilmarnock 6-3 at Rugby Park. Which is appropriate, as it was, literally, a rugby score!
  9. Decent enough perfornce unlucky not to salvage a point thought Nick Ross could have done better with his effort at the end. Still think we play to narrow, trying to play through the middle we need a bit of variation, Aberdeen were happy to stand off us and watch us pass it about side to side. Thought Shinnie was excellent as usual, would really like to see him pushed further forward as his directness is something we should look to utilize more as an attacking option.
